The staff at this hotel, without exception, were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us and went over and above to assist - just fantastic and certainly made our stay enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that the lighting in the rooms is very dim. It was difficult to read, find things in suitcase and put on makeup. Rooms need to have better lighting.

Expensive for what it is ...

I booked two individual nights at £58 but when i booked four nights the week after I paid near £90 for two of the nights which I thought was not fair. The breakfast was quite possibly inedible and looks nothing like you advertised, the heating in reception was that warm the milk for breakfast was warm. The staff are friendly but when i asked for a iron one evening I was told can i not just use a towel on my room desk , when i said no i need a ironing board i had a few minutes wait whist the receptionist finished her online conversation with someone. Slightly awkward . I have decided to now stop at the Premier Inn round the corner , such a shame as its next to my office .

The staff was super nice and helpful with directions, breakfast was good, and in the whole of UK (stayed in 5 hotels, Ibis was cheapest), the only place with a really good shower.

Online check in was a waste of time, still had to check at main reception and room card wasn’t available yet. Tv remote wouldn’t work to turn of the tv, had to walk down to reception as there was no phone in the room to be told how to turn it off. At breakfast nobody took our room number to see if we had actually paid! We the had to ask for food to be cooked as there wasn’t anything left with an hour and half left of breakfast. There was no cutlery, cups or glasses, we had to ask for those too. The tables were still dirty from previous guests who had eaten with the lady just sitting behind the desk looking at the computer. The lady at the desk told another guest that they had to wait for their food as the staff who was working don’t normal work there, they were covering for a Christmas party and they work in Birmingham. I’m sure that all your hotel operate in the same system when it comes to providing breakfast and this shouldn’t be an excuse!

Staff friendly and helpful, lovely welcome on first arrival. However room was cold and difficult to heat, air con unit was very noisy, making it difficult to watch TV or have on while sleeping. I actually stole the second duvet from the twin bed to keep warm during the night! Good value for money breakfast, however staff were finding it difficult to keep pace with replacing food quickly enough to meet demand of customers and ran out of plates which added to the frustration of waiting. Easy walking distance from station, once I found the underpass.

We took 1 double room and 1 twin room (total 3 persons) for this first visit Coventry trip. The air conditioner in double room is okay and the other one is too noisy. Also one room's kettle has some leakage, which we found it lucky though before the water flow to the electricity circuit. Overall, the room is good and we like the bathroom design. The reception staff are good when we check in and thanks for lending us the iron and the board. When check out, it is a bit difficult to find a staff so we finally just drop the keys in the box. The breakfast is okay as no restaurant close to the hotel.

This is the 4th time I stayed at this hotel! This time However the room that I was given at first had problem with the heating which I reported and after alot of time and persistence The personnel change my room to another one with proper heating! Because I was tired from traveling I was not happy with the time it took my complaint to be resolved!

Convenient for station and city centre

The hotel is only a short walk from the railway station. It's easy to walk into the city centre using subways and paths. My room was on the ground floor and was up to the usual IBIS standard. There was some noise around 7 am, possibly from staff chatting in the office or reception area.
