Overall the room and hotel in general was really clean and the staff were really friendly. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you aren't really close to the person you are sharing a room with as the shower is in the actual bedroom and it's a door you can see through. The toilet is really small so no room for changing in there and ours definitely needed fixing as it creaked. There is also no tea making facilities in the room and whilst I appreciate the name "budget" is in the hotel name I also think this is just a very basic thing to offer especially at £100 a night.

After reading previous reviews, we were expecting the worst but it turned out we had a pleasant stay. Staff were very nice and we were able to leave our bags in the hotel on early arrival and able to leave them there for the day when leaving. Both our rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. There was a good variety for breakfast and it was very good value. The hotel is about a twenty minute walk town centre by the pedestrian bridge over the river. There are two good pubs a 3 minute walk from the hotel (the Old Toll Bar and the Viceroy ) we enjoyed our time in both. The hotel is a budget hotel, there are few things that need fixing like the entrance and the musty smell in the corridors but the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Overall good value for money.

Not the best, 1 memebr of staff on desk when there was 15 people waiting, to be greeted by the police walking around the reception, fridge in reception was broken with a note on the doors while you watch the dishwasher behind reception wasn't expecting the hilton, but as soon as i opened the door there was a strong curry smell, the bed was like laying on the floor, the shower a pointless shower the sink taps had warmer water. im sorry but i left and checked into the Premier Inn down the road for B&B for £55 pound.

There were two members of the team checking your 'group' in, one was on their break but came out to help her colleague with the mass. You were booked this by your work and we have no notice of you checking out and booking elsewhere, nor any complaints from you. The fridge is broken, however, we have a drinks fridge in our stock room which we use for refrigerating beverages and the fridge out front shows the stock we have.
