Booked for four Nights - Checked out after one.

Booked via Corporate Reservations. I booked for four nights, £88.00 Bed and Breakfast per night. On check -in i was advised this was a Dinner Bed and Breakfast rate. Not that it really matters. I was advised i had a £25 a night meal allowance. Went down for meal, usual two drinks, starter, main and pudding. I was presented with a bill for £47.00!!!!!! The Chicken Tikka Marsala was literally 5 pieces of chicken in a runny sauce, not worth £16 anyway. Came back to Reception and Travis said it would be adjusted down to £25. Went back to my Dark and Dingy room, I forget which number it was. I decided to check-out early. Went to reception the next morning where I had to tell both receptionists everything three times as there failed to listen and were distracted and inattentive. Even the Reception Manager who just did not listen to me. The bill for the meal was still £33 even though it had been 'adjusted'. It was further 'adjusted' so i paid the agreed amount. Never again.

The staff were great. I paid for the night for spa and jacuzzi swimming etc for myself and my friend for her birthday only to be told in arrival they were not working! Very disappointed

Ability to bring our dog was the number one deciding factor. It was good that we could take the dog with us in the bar for a drink in the evening. The breakfast was good with plenty of help yourself choice. The room had all the standard extras such as tea/coffee, iron/ ironing board, hair dryer, TV etc. Will stay again in the future.

Very nice hotel. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Breakfast is better than what most hotels offer. The pool and sauna was a bonus and very relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff very welcome , room fair, bathroom tiles need replacing tiles scruffy Booked for dinner in resturant for four found out due to wedding and other parties closed told to go,to small room for dinner which had neon lights..no thanks took taxi and eat elsewhere Due to wedding bar rammed so ordered room service charge £5 totally out of order Breakfast chaotic due to wedding party real scrum Overall poor stay will not be back Staff however were very courteous and kind

We find this hotel great for short relaxing breaks. It has excellent staff. Good staff make a hotel work but there needs to be enough of them for that to happen. This hotel has the balance just right. Great staff, good food & a good room.

The public spaces were spartan and almost entirely devoid of aesthetic interest, I.e pictures, flowers, curtains and ornaments. Our room, 200, was clean and comfortable - however the furniture, other than the bed, was badly worn and in serious need of replacement. The shower-room also in need of less brown. The restaurant staff were charming but coping with an underlit, under heated area was outside of their ability to improve the overall dining experience. Ill-fitting front doors create a wind tunnel directly into the restaurant - a situation in urgent need of correction with winter almost upon us. The food was good.

Needs renovation work Stayed at the mercury in Liverpool which was fantastic I travel to Hastings a lot it’s a shame really as I will need to stay somewhere else now
