Stayed for business and the location (next to the ACC) was fantastic. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and very comfortable (for me, with a lovely view across the Mersey!) with good amenities. Breakfast was also delicious and very well organised.

This is a beautiful hotel, with very friendly staff. I have rated it as poor because upon check out, I requested that an invoice be emailed to me. I did not receive it because they had the incorrect email address (this should have been checked upon check out) I then rang to request one, clearly spelt the email address, but an hour and a half later, did not receive one. I rang again, spelt the email address again. I requested to hold, until I received the email address but was clearly told no, as there were guests to check in. I had a tight deadline within which to submit my expenses. This is not acceptable, for such a lovely hotel. Such a shame as everything else about it was lovely. Just to add - I had booked five rooms with this hotel. And I was thinking that an email invoice would be more environmentally friendly. Strongly recommend that you get a paper invoice, if you do stay here.

The Pullman is adjacent to the Arena and exhibition facilities and only a short walk to the Albert Dock with its wide range of eateries. However, there are other hotels closer to the city. I have stayed at many Accor hotels in France and I did not think the quality of the breakfast or restaurant meals was as good as Mercure or indeed Novotel. One is immediately impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The beds are extremely comfortable but unfortunately, the bedrooms are lacking any drawers or shelves to organise clothes for more than an overnight stay. A particular criticism is the facility for drying towels. There is a notice encouraging people to use their towels for more than one day but the towel rail is too small even to lay out one towel! The cost of providing a much longer towel rail would surely be repaid by the saving in laundry bills.
