The hotel room itself was nice, clean, and well-presented. However, I was disappointed with my overall stay. The water pressure in the bathroom shower was very poor, which made it difficult to enjoy using it. Additionally, there was a dog in the room next door that barked at random times, disturbing the rest and sleep I was hoping to get. While I understand that the hotel is pet-friendly, there were clearly many rooms available, so placing guests next to a room with a pet was not ideal. This experience reflects poorly on the level of customer service, as more consideration could have been given when allocating rooms. I was very tired at the time, which is why I didn’t contact reception to request a change, but this situation should not have arisen in the first place.

I arrived late afternoon and was told if I gave them my e mail I could get a free drink at the bar later. That never happened although I did give them my e mail. It had been raining with some hail and I went straight to my room. It was comfortable but the door to the toilet/shower room was very difficult to close as it had clearly warped. Then the food! The fish and chips were the worst I hve ever had. I cut into the fish and a hole half of the natter just fell off with no fish inside at all. The side with fish in was quite unpleasant. The peas and tartare sauce were nice tho. Then in the morning I went down food breakfast at 8.45 the bacon was dried up the mushrooms crunchy and the tomatoes were for some reason very bitter. Someone told me you dont have a kitchen which begs the question how can you serve food but I hve no evidence that is true so who knows how it could be so awful.
