Usual lovely, well-appointed room with helpful, friendly staff, and excellent lighting (so rare in hotel bathrooms). We stay at the Sofitel St. James twice a year or so and this is how we learned about SMEG tea kettles (and now have one in our kitchen :-). Loved the amenities and crisp apples; location could not be better for us. We greatly appreciated early check-in on our most recent stay. Please bring back placing a tea cup with a bag of chamomile tea on the nightstands with turn-down service—such as special touch!

Stay at Sofitel’s regularly and is our hotel of choice for over 20 years.Greeted with smiles and the “Sofitel” aroma. Lovely rooms,fast lifts,and perfect location.

Our stay at Sofitel St. James London was a combination of aesthetic elegance and a great culinary experience. The hotel is in an exceptional central location and yet tucked away from the center's business, allowing visitors to reach by foot many city landmarks of visitor interest, like Fortnum & Mason, the National Gallery, the exquisite Courtauld Gallery, the British Museum, the Westminster Abbey, the Buckingham Palace, the Covent Garden, and many more. The way every member of the hotel staff treated us matched perfectly with the expectations of such an establishment for the six nights we stayed. My spouse and I interacted with so many wonderful staff from the front desk, guest relations, concierge, the Rose Lounge, and the on-site restaurant. Because we do not know all the names of all these wonderful people, we decided not to list any names, so that all who interacted with us would feel included, as they provided us with exquisite service and beautiful memories. Thank you all! We had breakfast included in our reservation, and it was a great decision. Every morning, we felt beautifully treated by the staff, and we enjoyed the culinary delicacies, which gave us a great start to each day. All our lunches and dinners were through the hotel's room service, and we enjoyed every single meal. Also, we want to make a special acknowledgment for the Rose Lounge where the hotel offers the afternoon tea. Thank you for the way you treated us and for the wonderful surprise that came along with our dinner room service the evening before we checked out. You truly gave us a memorable experience with the Phantom of the Opera afternoon tea, and we can still envision the beautiful display of savoury delicacies and the wonderful Happiness tea! Many thanks to the Chef(s) who contributed to an outstanding culinary experience! Regarding the cleanliness of the room, the housekeeping department did a fantastic job, providing a spotless room every day and resupplying all room amenities, including still water and all necessary toiletries. It was so comforting to come back to a clean room with plenty of amenities every day during our stay. Overall, we treasured our stay at Sofitel St. James London, and we will conclude our review with the excellent departure salutation a wonderful breakfast host told us when we had breakfast on the day we finished our vacation in London: "until next time." Thank you all for a memorable stay, and until next time!

The hotel is very well located , it is beautiful, and the staff is excellent, however the rooms are very very small, and the resteraunt needs to decide if they are serving English food or French. When you order a typically English item you expect it to be like it is everywhere else in England, not a French version of it. If you are serving French state it as such, If you are serving English prepare it as such. Would have liked to have eaten at the resteraunt, but the food was unpredictable.
