Room was excellent, quirky with the decor and well serviced. Room service was prompt and hot. Breakfast was great-loved the French toast. Reception was good-checking in and out. Only concern was not having a small light in the bathroom which negated turning on the main light when visiting the bathroom in the middle of the night and the rain shower was too high causing water to go everywhere. Will recommend it to all.

The Sofitel offered the luxury you would want when visiting abroad. The amenities and attentiveness were first-class. The location was great. We could get to the tourist sites - Fortnum and Mason (tea), Piccadilly Circus, Westminister Abbey and the West End(theaters).

Hotel Sofitel St James London is located in a beautiful and convenient area of central London. It is within walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, China town, just to name a few. The staff was welcoming. Margaret and Dorothy made sure we got everything we needed during our stay. The on-site restaurants offer a variety of good food. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we visit London again.

Thank you for a great welcome. To the tall young gentleman who checked me in - thank you for making me feel so welcome that it feels like coming home. Also a very big thank you making sure that my room was available so quickly although I arrived much earlier than the usual check in time. To the staff at the bar, thank you for the friendly service - and yes the whiskey sour was good. The hotel is very centrally located and the Piccadilly Station nearby makes everything within easy reach. The St James is always within walking distance if you crave a little peace and quiet - unless the pelicans are around - they attract a big crowd. The Sofitel magnifique service is always there wherever you are in the hotel - everyone is so friendly and helpful. Kudos to the breakfast staff who, I can see, got everyone off to a good start in the morning. I got the green-coloured scheme room and I must say that it was very pleasing to the eye when I entered the room. The bed is very comfortable as usual ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel provides luxurious Diptyque toiletries in the bathroom - which is spacious. Always worth a return.
