Receptionist ( male ) was disinterested and unwelcoming dogs are normally charged per stay - but we had to pay £15 per night for deep cleaning - on entering the room clearly not been cleaned properly ( bins not emptied -reported at time ) so I hope previous occupants weren’t charged for deep clean

Clean spacious room in nice grounds for walking the dogs. Good food at a reasonable price. Staff all very nice and helpful. No hairdryer in room and no fridge in my particular room but I know some rooms did have a mini-fridge. Overall a good stay.

We stayed for Crufts with two dogs. Staff generally helped apart for one. Room clean and bathroom in good order. Nice touch was the set up of the dog friendly dinning Room along with crufts coverage on big screen. A little disappointed with the quality of the evening meal. However breakfast was good.

We arrived at the hotel after 8.30 ,proceeded to room,overall on first impressions ok, however could not get the heating to work..went down to bar to order food at about 9pm ordered pizza and fries order taken and payment taken..10 mins later to he told that they had no pizzas left..so just ended up with the fries..we were given a complimentary drink however after a long day at Crufts, didn't quite compensate. Back in the room, still no heating. Next morning breakfast was adequate however I do feel that the staff were not very welcoming and the carpet in the restaurant could do with replacing looked very dirty and old. Ok for a nights sleep.but overall disappointed and would probably not choose to stay at this particular hotel again to be honest
