This is my second stay of many as I attend weekend courses nearby. Check-in was good, and Moussa gave me some additional decaf coffee sachets as I had asked for extra when I booked the stay. The room was clean and tidy, though all the carpets are very stained. I was missing a non-slip shower mat. The TV had disconnected from the internet for the first 30 minutes I was watching it, so I only had basic channels, but I wasn't really watching it, so it wasn't an issue. I had a wifi problem the last time I stayed, but it seemed much better this time. I was on a lower floor, so not sure if that made a difference. The shower was excellent - powerful, hot, clean. I love the shower gel and shampoo. Plenty of fresh, clean towels. I had a sleepless night, but that was not the hotel's fault. I would, however, comment that your air conditioning only goes down to 19 degrees. This is useless for menopausal women. Far too warm. At home, I keep my bedroom down to 13 degrees. Something to think about. Had a club sandwich in the bar - pleasant enough. The menu on your website is different to the one on offer at the hotel. Overall, the stay was pleasant, and reasonable value for money. Staff pleasant and approachable.

Following my recent stay at Novotel Coventry M6 J3, unfortunately the overall experience did not meet expectations for a four-star property. To begin with, the check in process was smooth and efficient. I requested an upgrade, which was not available, which I fully understand. I also asked if it would be possible to move to a higher floor room, but was advised this could not be accommodated. However, the condition of the room was disappointing. The carpet was visibly stained, and the glass shelf above the tea and coffee area was noticeably dusty. While the bathroom itself was generally clean, the toilet roll had marks on it, which was not acceptable. I returned to reception to request housekeeping support, but was informed that no housekeeping staff were available at the time. I was told replacement toilet roll would be sent to the room, however this was never delivered. The room temperature was also an issue. The heating did not function correctly and could not be increased above 20 degrees, resulting in cool air being circulated and an uncomfortable room environment. Additionally, the room was advertised as having a queen size bed, however it appeared closer to a standard double, which was not in line with expectations. Breakfast was the most disappointing aspect of the stay. As we require vegetarian or vegan options, we requested a vegan or vegetarian breakfast. We were informed that no suitable alternatives such as vegetarian sausages were available, and even simple requests such as poached eggs could not be accommodated. The breakfast service overall appeared under resourced. Food items, including pastries, were not replenished promptly, and when requested, only a very limited quantity was brought out. The tea and coffee area was also not well maintained, with basic items such as English breakfast tea unavailable until requested. It was clear that staff were trying their best, however the level of resourcing was insufficient to maintain expected standards. Overall, the experience did not reflect the standard expected of a Novotel hotel. I hope this feedback is helpful in reviewing service levels, housekeeping standards, and breakfast operations for future guests. I would appreciate if this feedback could be reviewed and acknowledged, as it would be helpful to understand whether any improvements are being considered.
