I was pleased with the services and the facilities available at the hotel

If I say, I didn't want to leave, come the day of check out, I'd hope that proves how satisfied I was! I can't find anything to pick on, find fault with, and I'm very fussy! Beautiful hotel, rooms, faultless service from pleasant staff, who obviously had been trained in giving outstanding customer care/service.

It was good and comfortable, however, staff were stretched thin over the Christmas period as the staff had to cover both room service as well as the general hotel services making the request for things extremely delayed

Lovely staff, great room and breakfast and very clean pool. We were allowed to check in early and park our car - very helpful.

Staff were very friendly,rooms were fine although found bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Only enough milk in room for one cup of tea/ coffee per day

Hi Was overall dissatisfied with the level of service at the Novotel Reading; Heating did not work Drainage for the sink was not working Key cards were constantly not working and had to get them reset several times No one picked up the phone at reception after trying to contact them several time about the issues This is not the level of services I expected from such a reputable company

My experience at this hotel was amazing. Facilities were very nice to use, staff were very friendly and helpful and I’d love to stay here again. I’d happily recommend this hotel to friends & family.

We really enjoyed staying at the Novotel in Reading. We used it as a base to catch up with old friends on our return to UK. Conveniently located in the town centre near the train station we found the facilities clean and comfortable and the staff friendly. We booked during a special sales promotion which also made our stay very well priced. Our family of four enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet and loved that we could see the New Years Eve fireworks from our room (a surprise!). Even though we were unaware prior to our arrival of the need to pre book parking we were able to book parking in the secure area from our second day for the remainder of our stay. We appreciate that the cleaning staff were very busy over the holiday period and were unable to service our room daily.

Convenient and central. The room was a good size and the bed comfortable. Did not like the fact the toilet was separate. The shower was very powerful with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was comprehensive and appreciated the veggie sausages on the hot buffet. The lifts were not working correctly going up and down to random floors. We had to press the alarm button. Finally on a bad note, our room had a very unpleasant smell - if asked to describe it, bizarrely it smelled like a fox had been in the room.

Booked for New Years Eve, we were told the bar would be open but it closed before midnight! Good location for Reading Town Centre.

Comfy bed, great facilities and food

Lovely hotel, clean, warm, staff was very welcoming & couldn’t do enough for us. Will be visiting again for sure. Pool, sauna & steam room was an added bonus for us.

I was really dissapointed with the hotel services, firstly I had to come to reception numerous times to have the key card reset, there wasnt a point when both cards provided were working at the same time. When we entered the room we wanted to brush our teeth before our night out, the sink would not drain properly, so I called reception 4 times and nobody answered. This meant there was loads of sediment in the basin, this was disgusting. The room was cold so we changed the temperature, this wasn't working either because when we went out for new years and came back the temperature hadn't changed. And top things off, my girlfriend paid for parking as we were told parking was not included as part of the package and I have still been charged for this as part of my invoice. Honestly, this is apauling as I booked this hotel months in advance for New Years, how can such a prestigious hotel such as yourselves not prepare for the volumes of people looking to book your hotel when you know New Years is one of the busiest periods is beyond me.
