Convenient location, we went for early check-in but didn’t receive confirmation although it went ok. Car park is a bit difficult as we were blocked from leaving by a delivery for 20 minutes. Generally though a comfortable room and welcoming staff and dog friendly

The Rooms are now fine (better than 2 years ago).. (I still hate the toilet separate from the bathroom). The real letdown for me is breakfast, mainly the Juice bar, the orange juice (I am not a coffee or Tea drinker) is literally disgusting and I have to to Sainsburys to buy my morning juice.

Quiet bedroom with comfy bed. I didn’t like the toilet in a tiny room with no washbasin. The washbasin and shower is in the bathroom around the corner.

The room was good, in public spaces customers were allowed to have video conversations on speaker, which was not comfortable for other “guests”.

We had a lovely stay at the Novotel Reading,it was my sisters 60th & the hotel put a card & fruit platter in our room which was lovely 😍 The breakfast was lovely to, loads of choice, and the swimming pool and sauna was an added bonus.The only disappointing thing was that the Hotel restaurant wasn't open on the weekend and we really wanted to eat in the hotel on the Saturday evening on my sisters Birthday, apparently they only open the restaurant in the week!

I booked one standard room and one twin room. When I arrived I was told there was no twin rooms available, as a result I could either just have one of my prepaid rooms or take two standard rooms.

A typical stay in a contemporary setting. Everything clean and tidy just a bit characterless. Stayed in room 308, weird concept of seperate loo and very weird picture on the wall, bed was comfy. If you are looking for basic stay its ideal if you want something more romantic try elsewhere

The toilet was found not to flush properly after unpacking. Reported and needed to repack and change rooms. Maybe next time, a room class bump to acknowledge the inconvenience. Or even a drink voucher. Or even an apology. Second room: the air didn't cool the room, and I slept poorly because of the heat.

At just a short walk from Reading train station, this hotel is incredibly well placed. I had opted for an "Executive" room, which was incredibly spacious. The bed was very comfortable, there was a seperate loo and bathroom, and though I couldn't quite work out the air con, the window opened! The only "negatives" I would note were that there don't seem to be enough lifts for the number of floors (13) so there was some waiting around (I was on the 7th floor) to get up and down, and basic information services. Not everyone - myself included - wants to use a QR code to access information. It would have been appreciated if there were laminated cards etc. in the room to explain things like breakfast options / times, or just basic hotel facilities. That aside, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and I look forwward to returning in the future.
