Overall my stay was satisfactory, but it was unfortunately not great for one relatively small but important reason. On the second night a Police dog in a Police van was parked in the car park not far from my window and the dog unfortunately barked on and off all night. With hindsight I should have complained immediately, but I didn't think it would go on all night, and it was intermittent. It would have been much better if the van was parked in the parking spaces near the front entrance far away from your guest accommodation. Otherwise, all was okay. Your staff are friendly and helpful, especially on the front desk and the room was fine and as expected. I wish you would add steak pie, mashed potato and vegetables to the bar food menu, and for me the current wild mushroom soup is too fussy. However, the chef kindly served tomato and pepper soup instead, which was appreciated. It would be good if the TV in the bar could feature sport rather than Smooth Radio.

Great hotel. Well situated and overall it was adequate Breakfast was disappointing though. Stale pastry and rock hard pain au chocolats that had been out a few days at least. The rooms were very dated. Reminded me of a five guys with the decor more than a hotel. Suited our needs tho. The air con was incredibly loud too come to think of it. Making some horrendous noises.
