Zero knowledge or recognition of Accor status, was told they would give me the Mercure restaurant discount yet they charged me in full. People entering check in after me was given priority and I had to wait. Room itself was small but clean, the only good thing I would say about this place was the plated breakfast was very good. Other than that the worst Mecure i have stayed in from a service point of view.

We stayed here for a night before embarking for a cruise from Tilbury. Receptionist and breakfast staff were delightful and friendly. Excellent hot and cold choices for both self service (cold) and plated (hot) breakfasts. A short taxi ride to the docks for £15 (Uber) and up to 17 nights parking included in the price of the stay. Enjoyed it so much that we have booked for our next cruise next year.

The Manager is non stop, always happy and willing to please. Always on the go. Staff are brilliant and very helpful. Amanda and her team are the best you could ask for. You can have a laugh and a joke with them. Brilliant sports and still so professional
