Still a good hotel, but starts to getting older...

The rooms are of such French practicability that I appreciate a lot, which is why use to book the hotel whenever I am in London. However, it has now started to show some wear, and recently wasn't as clean & tidy as it used to be - so probably starts to get older...or some attention is missing. Staff was still very helpful and supportive, as always.

I have been staying with Novotel London Blackfriars regularly since 2018. The hotel is the perfect location for my business meetings. If I need to be in the city, I can easily walk over Blackfriars bridge and on foot to most clients, or utilise the tube. Equally, if I need to go to Canary Wharf or London Bridge, I am a one minute walk from Southwark tube. The hotel is easily accessible from both Heathrow (Elizabeth Line to Bond St and Jubilee to Southwark) and Gatwick (Thameslink to Blackfriars station and less than 2min walk to the hotel). One of my favourite things about the hotel is the pool and sauna. It's great to have a warm sauna after being out on a cold London day.

Fire Alarm

There was a fire alarm on Saturday. We were not able to get into the hotel for about an hour and a half and missed a brunch that we had already paid for that scheduled at noon. (45 pounds each)

In Regards to the Fire Alarm which went off on Saturday obviously we understand that it may have disrupted plans for our guests, however I can assure that it was genuine concern since the Fire Brigade had to come in to make sure it was safe for everybody to come back in the hotel premises. Luckily we were able get every one safe in the building in due course: once the Fire Brigade is in the premises we are following their guidance and we cannot give an estimate time to when it's safe to return.
