Had 3 nights here with my family with 2 adjoining rooms for extra comfort. Don’t have one bad word to say ! Was greeted with great staff upon arrival and throughout my stay they were always friendly.

The visit was good overall but seems bizarre that for the cost of one night, breakfast wasn't included. The staff on the day we arrived were lovely but in morning, the lady at reception was very dismissive when we asked re breakfast. Wasn't the best end to a business stay. Isla

efficient friendly checkin, good quality room and facilities, good qulaity breakfast but could improve the range of fruits, oats and yoghurts offered to be able to have a healthier porridge/"overnight oats" style breakfast.

The experience was made special by one of the members of the Novotel Blackfriars team , her name is Marta. She made us feel welcome by her warm and approachable manner. Nothing was too much trouble for her and accommodate our needs in every possible occasion.

Cozy and the nicest staff, best breakfast buffet...! Our family stayed this lovely hotel for four nights, and we really enjoyed here and felt like mother's home. Great location (2 mins from the subway on foot), many restaurants around it, Safe area and the room was so great. if you travel with two kids, this hotel is the best I believe, and here is the best story. My 7 years old son was so excited about breakfast and in somehow, he dropped the dish (you know it happens everywhere..) but the staff was so nice and even worried about my kid and encouraged him not to cry. and even served new dish for him.. Unbelievable service... I think all servers are great but especially, the Alina who took care of my son was nice person. Overall, I'm so happy to have a chance to share my experience here. Thank you. Spacious and comfortable room. The desk is a bit small for business travelers. The breakfast could have more cut fruit (it is pretty much English full with a few slabs of melon). The pool was shut one day because of chemical imbalances, and early morning on other days full of families with children, so not really conducive for exercise. The best part is the very convenient location, especially for arrivals to Gatwick, and for attending museums and theater. Very good hotel overall, but the prices double some nights and there is no attempt to give anyone a price advantage for longer stays (I was there for four nightsI

I believe the hotel infrastructure is ok, provided that it is not a 4 or 5 stars hotel, however, I could notice that your customer service (people at the front desk, bar, restaurant) are not very helpeful and sometimes can be considered as being rude with the guests. I was completely desapointed with the people you have working at the hotel.

Generally the experience was good. The room is well equipped and the staff is nice. However, when checking in, I was told that the breakfast wasn't included in my booking, even though I was sure it was (I rechecked the reservation mail after the trip). I didn't have access to my e-mail to show the receptionist. But the receptionist told me twice that it wasn't included.

Great room, not too hot for once. Had an accident with a wine glass, phoned reception and the glass was vacuumed up in minutes. Ate in room, great steak. Good variety at breakfast. Easy checkout. Will stay again.

I had a very enjoyable stay overall. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, modern and with a great view of the Shard. The day bed was appreciated as another place to sit and came in handy when having friends over for a cup of tea. The gym is small yet very well equipped. The pool unfortunately was ice cold and I am told this was due to maintenance. The sauna was lovely

Upon arrival there was nobody at reception to check in with, I waited but as no one came I decided to get go and find the room in the hotel where, my course was being run from, and check in later. The hotel was pleasant and the room was clean. That evening I ordered Room Service and during the night whilst eating the food I noticed it had an odd, and greasy taste. Later on I became very unwell being sick and needing the toilet. I rang down to reception to advise of same, and the receptionist advised he would tell the Food & Beverage Manager as they were on site, he also asked if I needed a Doctor - I advised that I would see how I went. The symptoms described continued through the night and the next morning subsided to a large extent although, I did not feel 100%. I checked out and was not asked if I was feeling better. I went to attend my course for the day and the food and Beverage Manager never contacted me regarding my call on the night or the next day.

I tried to contact you on the number that was on your reservation (0…) but it didn’t go through. We were naturally very sorry to learn that you felt unwell on 18th November 2019 and we were obviously concerned that you have attributed this illness to food prepared at this hotel. We now had the opportunity to investigate your concerns. Having received your report of illness, the food safety hotel records from 11th of November 2019 until the 19th of November 2019 were reviewed and do not indicate that any lapses have occurred. It will reassure you to know that we have not received any other reports of food related illness from customers who eaten food prepared at the hotel. In order to carry out a very thorough investigation, we have also reviewed our sickness absences in our Food and Beverage/Kitchen department as well as Housekeeping team, and we can also confirm that no employee has taken any time off work due to an illness which rules out any infection from a staff member. Nonetheless, we regret that you were unwell and we would not wish you to be left with a poor impression of Novotel London Blackfriars. I also want to apologise for the fact that you didn’t hear from us the next day. Rest assured that I have addressed this with the teams to prevent any future occurrence. Please note that the meal you had will be on us. A refund of £25.45 has been arranged onto your card ending 1477. It should appear on your bank statement within 5 working days. Thank you once again for your time in raising this matter, this allowing us an opportunity to carry out a thorough investigation. I do hope we will soon have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Novotel London Blackfriars, and restoring your confidence in our service. What a lovely hotel! The welcome at check in, the service at dinner, all fantastic. Was just me and my daughter staying, we had a beautiful room, spotlessly clean and had a lovely time in the swimming pool (perhaps a little cold!). Thank you for a great experience!
