Have stayed here several times and the outstanding thing about this place is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble,they are polite ,helpful and cheerful. Cleanliness of the rooms and public areas is good . Food is also very good with good service inn the restaurant. However , the hotel is tired and in need of some refurbishment

Beautiful property in lovely grounds in an ideally situated location. Added bonus of the leisure facilities and swimming pool sadly I did not have time to use! Staff are very welcoming and guest focused.

The hotel was clearly great in it's day but now it looks dated and in need of a refurb. The bathrooms especially are tatty. Also the beds are standard doubles even though the bedside tables are set for queen or kings and most quality hotels these days offer a larger bed than you have back home. The room we were originally given didn't lock so we asked to be moved which took an age waiting at reception and with no apology for the inconvenience. Breakfast was good but we were disappointed that for our friends who were not staying at the hotel to join us it was going to cost £30 each - definitely not worth that price and particularly disappointing given there were 16 of us staying in the hotel for 2 nights costing a lot of money which you would think the hotel would have taken into consideration when deciding the guest price.

We understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been, particularly after your arrival, and we are disappointed that you did not receive the prompt apology and service you deserved at the time. We also appreciate your comments regarding the breakfast pricing for non-resident guests there must have been some confusion as these are not our prices. Your feedback has been shared with the management team for review as we continually assess both our guest experience and pricing policies.
