Nice hotel but could do with some modernisation in the bathrooms 100% We arrived mid evening on a Friday, checked in and was automatically concerned by the wedding going on and the base from the music as we have had issues with music noise at hotels before. Went and grabbed some dinner in the restaurant and the experience was not the best, lovely staff but rather slow service - I ordered the vegan burger, which is meant to have bbq sauce. This came with a pot of mayo on the side and mayo in my burger - luckily the reason for me ordering this burger was purely that I cannot eat normal cheese and not that I'm actually vegan but it's rather worrying. Walking between the main section of the hotel to some of the rooms, you are walking through the corridor with the wedding reception rooms to the left and the gardens to the right, meaning you feel like you are walking through the middle of someone's wedding at times, multiple occasions there were people setting up for events in the corridor meaning you needed to walk round them. We had a junior suite room and honestly a lovely room and huge size, bed is just a normal sized double which was slightly annoying, the bathroom was the only let down with the room. Our worries regarding the noise from the weddings almost next door was wrong, we couldn't hear anything whatsoever which I was very very pleased about. Overall an average stay just a few improvements needed with the bathroom.

Have stayed several times over the years and this is a good basic hotel. This trip was no different with good room, friendly helpful staff and facilities until we took dinner in the restaurant as we normally do. We waited over 30 minutes for our starter to arrive [a very good terrine] and a further wait for the main. My wife had a caeser salad that she said was the worst ever due to dried up chicken and smothered in dresssing. I had a " thick gammon steak" that was like two slices of bacon on top of eachother. Normally we would have sent the dishes back but could not bear the thought of more waiting as it was also getting late. Nobody came to ask how the meals were and when we had finished there were no staff in the dining room so we left and had coffee in the bar. The bar also appeared to be understaffed with one man serving there and apparantly all the drinks in the restaurant. He was doing a stirling job and maintained his sense of humour throughout. I mentioned all this to reception when checking out and was told management would be informed. I believe there must be a problem with the head chef and possibly the hotel management.

We have taken on board all the comments, there were more than yours and we are putting in new processes and training so these issues can be solved quickly. We held are daughters wedding here and we had an absolutely fabulous day, everything was perfect. All the staff were amazing and couldn’t have been kinder. Obviously, the main cast at a wedding are somewhat nervous but with the help of the events organisers and their crew everything was made to look easy and their professionalism shone through. The setting at the hotel is wonderful and, as the weather was perfect too, made for a most memorable day. Thank you Grange Park Hotel for making a very important occasion one of the best days of our lives, we’ll never forget it.

I booked two family rooms for my nephews wedding which was at the Mercure Willerby as well. These rooms were booked online and I added breakfast and an early checkin 10-00 am to prepare for the 12-30 wedding.I doubled checked with the hotel the day before we could check in early.Polite receptionist stated this could not happen as guests do not have to leave their rooms until 11am but she would put a note on our booking and for us to explain on arrival. Arrived 11 am and explained our situation to again extremely helpful polite receptionist who ensured our rooms would be the first cleaned and we were allowed in at 11-15pm. Major point is why advertise on line early check in 10-00 charge £20 when it is unlikely to be on offer.
