Unfortunately the hotel was very dated away from communal areas.The wrong keys were given .The sink was blocked so did not empty and the restaurant food poor.Despite this the restaurant manager was very gracious obviously with inexperienced staff.

Argumentative Attitude by attendant on check in after several minutes of arguing he finally accepted that we had paid £20 for early check inn .

Hotel is clean and well presented, with very good service. Slightly disappointed to find that the room I had booked previously as a "Privilege" room on several occasions, is now a "Junior Suite" Unfortunately the pictures on the website did not reflect this and still showed a larger room with separate bedroom, on this basis I would say that the price is rather high for what is really a standard double room with an added coffee machine. My advice is to check before you book if this is important to you as there are other hotels available at similar prices. Overall the staff was pleasant and the room was of a fair quality although the bathrooms could do with a refresh as they are a little dated and the flimsy baths are a little disconcerting when they flex under foot The hotel was clean and tidy and had adequate Covid 19 measures in place. Food in the restaurant was nice and good value for money. The Location of the hotel is great, with good access to all local routes and a good base to explore the surrounding areas

We stayed for 2 nights and I was in Hull to have some surgery done. The staff could not be more helpful, and accommodating during our stay. We would recommend this hotel to anyone at all. Great staff, great service and altogether made my stay very comfortable .

We’ll located hotel. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Restaurant food was good but Specials Menu was the same for 3 nights. Would have preferred a change of choice.

Arrived at 6pm (well after check-in time) to find our door sealed with a "just been cleaned" sticker - however room had not been cleaned at all from the last occupants and was very dirty (sheets not changed rubbish everywhere etc). In fairness to the staff they did send someone to clean it immediately and offered us a free drink. Unfortunately this was very tiresome after a long journey to the hotel and we had plans we needed to get to but they did find us a spare room to get changed in whilst we waited which was good. Room still not actually fully clean when we "made up" for us but was ok. Very comfortable bed and slept very well. Breakfast very nice and all staff very friendly and helpful. Given a discount due to the room error which I thought was very reasonable.

My partner is disabled so when booking with my partners daughter two privilege rooms next to each other on the ground floor,we had a room on the second floor a long walk to the rear and the daughter had one on the ground floor when we raised this at reception we were told they were the rooms.I said this is not catering for disabled person and wether we were in privilege rooms is debatable we would like a response from you.

Was not allocated the room i booked - advertised as a privileged room - which stated online with photo of room, a bedroom with separate sitting area. Instead allocated one room , no additional seating except chair in bedroom. Feel let down that i didn’t get the room i paid for . when i checked in the staff stated they are now just one room. Would not have paid same price for just one room! So overall not best experience staying at this hotel.

Disappointing in Covid Times

We actually cut our stay short and made a complaint as we felt the hotel was not a clean and safe environment. When we arrived there were people standing in the bar playing pool not wearing face coverings, with no action or concern from hotel staff. When we got to our 'privilege' room we were hopeful as it had a covid secure seal on it, however on entering it was tired and did not feel clean. We felt compelled to wipe down surfaces. As it was late (past 11pm) we decided to go to sleep to only finmd that bed was poorly made and the sheet had a mark on it. We decided to ignore it and went to sleep. The next morning I went to have a shower which seemed fine until I went to dry myself on the towel provided. On unfolding it I noticed multiple red stains which on closer inspection looked like blood. I rang reception and asked for new towels and to make a complaint. The housekeeping staff did apologise but from this experience we became concerned with the cleanliness of the hotel and decided to make other arrangements. When I went to check out early the staff were apologetic and did give a small discount to the nights stay but they seemed unaware of the issue as no one had reported it further. A very disappointing situation but also concerning in a time where cleanliness is key.

Was advertised as a double bed but was just two singles pushed together. Rooms could have been cleaned a bit better.

A bit isolated, but welcoming

During my stay the wind and rain were more or less incessant. The hotel offered a place to get dry, though it was not especially warm during a couple of cold days in August. Although the hotel appears to be close to a major road, there is no problem with noise. Several large supermarkets are within walking distance, but it's quite a distance to a place with a selection of restaurants. The bar was fine, the restaurant good (but with limited choices). Breakfast was served cold in a bag. I did not go for a stroll around the hotel grounds. No doubt the experience would have been very different if the weather had been more pleasant.

Dear Russell Thank you for your review and I am pleased you enjoyed your stay The hotel reopened on the 1st August and our approach has been to open up our services in our gradual way so we can focus on them ensure we are doing so in a safe way. We are now serving breakfast in our restaurant and it is an At Seat concept with the continental selection served from a trolley and the cooked served plated both to guests tables. Our restaurant menu has been reduced but we will soon be extending it so a full offering is available Kind regards David
