Cleaning and replenishment of room was excluded throughout our 3 night stay

Disappointed with room cleaning and replenishment of tea/coffee etc. No one came into our room at all during our stay. Complained and asked for part-refund and told to complain to Booking.com as that is who we booked with. They said they would get back to us after listening to our complaint, but so far they have totally ignored us. Hopeless service all round.

Clean, tidy rooms and comfortable rooms, the only thing that would need looking at is the rooms are quite hot and no air con.

Arrived after 10hrs driving..exhausted and emotional..reception staff great..helped me and gave me a drink. Needed room service as had small dog with me…..menu atrocious…burgers, sandwiches and pizza..all extremely overpriced …£6.00 for 2 slices of bread with egg and cress and a lettuce leaf..£16.50 for an overdone tasteless burger….add some of the restaurant items, even if only up until 10pm….what difference does it make if served to a room or in the restaurant. Staff good again. Room was STUFFY AND in SERIOUS need of redecorating and updating….overhead light was full of dead flies..disgusting and all for £199 plus F&B plus dog charge…..not worth a third of that! If not for situation and staff I would have left! Will bever stay again

Tired rooms rude staff

Receptionist on arrival extremely rude and unhelpful, room was not ready and when we got to room was unclean and looks very dated, sink tap did not work, tiles mouldy and falling off wall. Was overall disappointing and would not recommend. Please teach your receptionists to be a little more customer focused. Room keys stopped working constantly in two days had 10 keys. Overall experience was not great and very expensive for what it is.

Old hotel pool used by swimming lessons and food not good

Very bad I upgraded to a deluxe room but all this means they put a dressing gown and coffee machine there was a helium canister still in the wardrobe from the last guest when we went to have a swim the lessons had extended into our bit we gad to send our food back in the evening meal as we asked for a medium well steak and we got a rare by the time it returned I had already finished my dinner no condiments we had to ask and then breakfast very dry orange juice tasted like washing up liquid. The hotel needs updating

We stayed 2 nights as a family wedding was taking place on sight at the hotel. The facilities are good but the building and rooms are very tired and in need of an overhaul and update. My room was ok but the curtains were tatty with lots of holes worn in them, tv was damaged, carpets stained. My room was not made up in between the 2 nights, so I had no clean towels, not fresh cups etc.

When I entered the room I thought the heating was on, it was not, it was the sun shine on the very large window and even with the window open as far as possible and the curtains drawn it was too hot to remain in the room in the late afternoon so I had to sit in the bar area. Also the bed, the mattress was firm but it sloped to the left so it felt like I was falling out of bed. Maybe turn the mattress over.

Was trying to get away for a relaxing night whilst in between travelling visiting Leeds Castle. Unfortunately leisure facilities were not up to standard to be used as informed that changing rooms were to be shared by males and females. Large area of the hotel being used as a court facility so some no go areas. None of this was drawn to our attention at time of booking and or on checking in! To top it all, went to bed late (2am) with the intention of getting a good 8 hours, getting up at 10am and checking out by 11am. GREATER PLANS and all that were destroyed when a WINDOW CLEANER decided to start washing the rooms windows just after 8am! NOT HAPPY! Reported to reception and was advised manager would be made aware, FURTHER DISAPPOINTMENT as nothing heard off manager, NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

Exceeded expectations all-round.

We booked this hotel for an overnight close to the Channel Tunnel. I chose it primarily for its location and being part of the Accor chain which I trust. However, we were really pleasantly surprised. The rate and location were both excellent as we knew, but the pleasant surprise came from the grounds, the hotel itself, the food and the staff all of which exceeded expectations. Some guests were a bit noisy through the night, but it was a wedding party on a Friday night, so not totally unreasonable and it didn't go on too late. I would happily stay here again when travelling through the tunnel and have no hesitation recommending it.

Good location close to the motorway as we wanted to visit the Kent coast at Whitstable and the sandy beaches at Broadstairs and New Romney. Platinum room upgrade not available due to hotel being full, however our family room was set up with robes, drinks, etc. to provide some of the benefits of a privilege room. The room was basic, but had a great view over the gardens. Ate dinner here on 2 out of our 4 night stay and it was very good both times. Used the pool on a couple of occasions, which was fine for both a swim and some fun with family. The highlight of the hotel was the staff - all friendly and could not do enough for you to make the stay a really enjoyable one - reception, housekeeping, restaurant & bar and leisure facility - thanks!
