Great location for walking to key attractions and sights. Friendly and helpful staff. Attractive decore. Modern, comfortable and quite rooms. No Air Conditioning and limited freash air circulation in rooms. WiFi insufficuent. Breakfast buffet well done but not value priced. Optional credit instead of housekeeping was a welcome option.

Clean hotel with great staff, the room itself was lacking though, with uncomfortable beds and repairs needed to the shower head and the bathroom door, which wouldn’t close. Very warm in the room although the provided fan did help a little.

Family trip to accommodate all three of us. They said that it would be fine and we got there late at night. They made me pay 300 euro for an extra room even though I asked them weeks in advance for a room with additional bed or upgrade to larger room. They brought a crib into the room! I’ll never recommend Ibis!!

Unfortunately, there appears to have been a misunderstanding, as a cot in the UK refers to a baby cot (crib) rather than a foldaway or extra bed. Our rooms have a maximum occupancy of two adults, and we are therefore unable to accommodate an additional adult with a foldaway bed. Had we understood that an extra bed for an adult was being requested, we would have advised this prior to arrival. We apologise for any disappointment caused and appreciate your comments, as they help us improve communication and ensure expectations are clear for future guests. We were in Edinburgh during the Royal Military Tattoo and the Fringe Festival. The streets near the hotel were blocked off and everything was exceptionally busy but very fun. The hotel was very expensive for what it offered.

The climate in the room wasn’t easy to control. To keep the window open I had to wedge a pair of socks in the joint. The toilet would not flush toilet paper unless you pumped the flusher many times. Good location, annoying room.
