Terrible!! Hotel room was not air conditioned and it was a hot day. The windows only opened about an inch and when they were open we could hear the drunk homeless people yelling and screaming at each other. Mattresses not comfortable (about 2 inches thick). Needless to say we moved to a different hotel. They said they would not charge us for the stay but they did and we had to call and have the charges removed as they promised.

We ended up checking out early and staying around the corner on the Royal Mile at a more family friendly hotel. The rooms were extremely small and no air conditioning so it was quite warm even on the cooler/rainy days. The noise from the bars made it difficult for our kids and ourselves to sleep and one night there were several police cars in the square breaking up a massive fight. Would not recommend for the price. We found a much nicer hotel around the corner for roughly the same price, much nicer with a pool and very quiet.
