Stay in a lot of Ibis hotels and have found some of them a bit tired and am getting too old for the pod style en suites but this hotel was great. Looks like it might have had a refurb and had a 'proper,' bathroom. Well located and room was clean and a very good size. Breakfast was usual Ibis fayre not great but not terrible . Only downside was shower smelt a bit when you first went in and bed probably needed replacing as it was a bit bumpy. But would stay here again even though the walk up Fleshmarket Close was a bit steep (thank heavens for the Halfway House!)

Fabulous location, only complaint I have is the water pressure in the shower.

Amazing location, easy walking distance to the royal mile. Water pressure in the shower was terrible and it would be great to have a small drinks fridge in the room but neither of these things affected our stay. I would definitely stay agin. Staff super helpful and allow you to leave luggage before check in and after check out if needed.

Our stay was 10 out of 10 however I've give overall experience a 7 out of 10 caused by disappointment of cleaning staff not handing in and reporting a Jumper and Apple charger that was left in out room after checkout. We contacted the hotel the day after checkout apon finding the items missing from our suit cases. The hotel did reply however stating that "nothing was left in the room" is incorrect. In our opinion the honest of the cleaning staff is brought into question. The Jumper was not a cheap one. It was our error leaving it behind but we have made similar mistakes and I'm sure so too by many of your guests to have it reported as not there was frankly annoying.
