Location was Excellent and personal customer service was much appreciated. My travel companion was unwell and Sara on reception was sympathetic and helpful. The rooms were spotlesss and I a, always pleased when I can open a window. I had a few problems booking online but these were quickly resolved by callling the hotel

An exercise in duress over chrismas

I am disabled and in a wheelchair which i had made my needs clear when booking, I needed an accessable adapted room. On arrival the room was very cold (there apparenlty been problems with boiler the day before h- but fixed) No bars in or around the bed, i was reliant on others to get me in and out of bed. Bathroom taps were to stiff to operate due to years of limescale build-up. This meant reliance on others to help out.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; allow me to express my sincerest apologies. I was sorry to learn that due to the temperature of your room you were unable to get a good night’s rest and I apologise for the discomfort caused. Our Ibis hotels have an ‘air cooling’ system in place which does differ from air conditioning. This system is partly dependant on the external temperature. In that instance, you should have been offered either an electrical heater or an alternative room and I apologise that this was not the case. I would like to assure you that the appropriate action has been taken with a view of preventing any repetition of the problems which marred your stay. For your comfort in the future, please be advised that hotel staff are available around the clock to assist guests with any issues that may arise; and this instance may have been able to offer you an alternative solution to ensure you a more comfortable stay. I would also like to apologise if you found the room not suitable for your needs. I can assure you that as per quality audit recommendations and health and safety requirements, our accessible rooms respect the DDR regulations for disabled guests. Furthermore, your comments about the conditions of the taps have been passed to the relevant members of the maintenance team. Thank you once again for your feedback, which is invaluable in our efforts to assess and continually improve upon the quality of our service. I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Ibis and better meeting your expectations in the future. Disappointing

We booked a twin room but had what felt like a children's room instead. This was because the twin beds were far too narrow, at around the old 2'6", that lead to a very poor night's sleep. The decor was gimmicky and lacked any feel for quality while the bathroom ceiling in the shower (and the even lower height of the shower head) must give taller people great difficulty showering with comfort. Bathroom lighting was also poor. The new style fit-out is not a success and definitely needs to be rethought! On the positive side, the staff were very polite and helpful so our complaint relates only to the room, that was simply awful.

We booked this for 2 nights and were happy with the location and the room. However we were disappointed that they did not know that we booked for late check out and explained to them 3 times we had late check out. Other than that the it was an excellent stay

Having booked for my disabled mother our needs were very specific. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was good (though a little too far from the elevator) and perfect for disabled people.

Your team at the hotel was brilliant, there was a problem with my tv and the receptionist came and had a look and switched my room no problem, even though it was quite late she was very friendly and professional.

Clean hotel with close proximity to central attractions. Friendly accommodating staff. Rooms are a bit small for 2 persons. Towels require to be replaced as now very thin and hard to the touch.
