The hotel was spotless and the stay were super friendly. The “air cooling” system was a let down and it was incredibly uncomfortable to sleep at night. This hotel should invest in Air Con, as if it did we would 100% book again

We also really appreciate your honest feedback regarding the room temperature. We are so sorry that you had an uncomfortable night's sleep. To help explain the setup, our rooms feature an air cooling system rather than traditional air conditioning (AC). While standard AC uses powerful, energy-heavy compressors to actively refrigerate the air, air cooling focuses on circulating fresh, filtered air that has been chilled centrally. When this system was originally selected by many hotels a few years ago, it was chosen as a significantly greener, more sustainable option to help reduce our environmental footprint. At the time, it was the most effective eco-friendly solution for the typical UK climate. However, we completely acknowledge your point. Temperatures in the UK have been increasing rapidly over recent summers, reaching levels that are very different from when the system was first installed. Your feedback about how this impacted your stay is incredibly valuable, and we are constantly reviewing our facilities to see how we can better adapt to these changing weather patterns. We would love the chance to welcome you back again in the future—perhaps during a slightly cooler season—to give you the 100% perfect stay you deserve.

Hotel is clean, welcoming and with professional, helpful and polite staff. Well located for all public transport, bars and restaurants. Why the score of 7? The room was very hot and needs a better cooling system. Being able to hear our neighbour snoring suggests the walls are a bit thin! But the team at the hotel - superb.
