Thankfully a very short stay, wouldn’t recommend it. Receptionist quite harassed, stairwells and lifts filthy - not a good impression/ grey/ black paint limited lighting. Didn’t feel warm or welcoming especially at night. My room had a very odd and unpleasant smell, no lights worked and when complained was told that’s how it is! Nowhere close to eat but told bar and kitchen open from 6pm - 9pm arrived at 8 to be told chef is finishing - I thought IBIS were clean efficient bright and slightly better than a travel lodge or premier inn this def not case here .

Brilliant place the food is amazing rooms are spotless but what makes the place special is the funniest most friendly staff ever ..we laughed from the minute we got here untill we left ....so will definitely book again ...the area manager was so funny and has a brilliant team working here can't fault any of them xxxx

Stayed here for one night. Arrived around 3pm. Couldn’t get into hotel so had to ring the buzzer to be let in. Checked in quickly Room looked clean and tidy and was a decent size although it was very cold. Bed was really comfortable and the pillows were good quality and also very comfortable. The bathroom was nicely decorated and had a good walk in shower. TV was a good size. Went to make a cup of tea and noticed that the mugs were very dirty, one in particular had the residue of what looked like cuppa soup all around the rim and down one side of the mug, the tea spoons were also not clean, one looked like some one had been eating chocolate mousse and there were the remains of that on the spoon. Went for breakfast in the morning, paid £10 each for cooked breakfast. There was a good continental breakfast, lots of cereal, croissants, pancakes etc. the cooked breakfast was OK, sausages were nice and of good quality, bacon was thick, but In my opinion not worth £10. For the price we paid for the stay it was OK.
