Unfortunately the room we booked several weeks prior (a Twin Room) was not available when we checked in. We were separated into two very small double rooms. As an older couple with mobility issues who rely upon each other this was extremely disappointing. The staff blamed central reservations systems and we agreed after much discussions that we would accept a complimentary dinner as compensation but ultimately being split up did affect our enjoyment. Even the small things like having one toilet bag for example was a pain. A bottle of fizz and snacks were delivered to the room as a good will gesture which was appreciated but we would have much preferred to be roomed together like we asked and paid for. The hotel was nice and the staff pleasant but this has put us off returning.
