The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the room and hotel as a whole was well cared for and clean. There were two drawbacks. The first is minor - the bed was rather too close to the bathroom wall making it a little difficult to get in and out of on that side. It only needs moving a few inches and there is room for this. The second was a disappointment - there was no chef on duty on Friday night. We were offered pizzas in the bar, but would have preferred a "proper"meal. The staff suggested we tried one of the local pubs, but we didn't fancy going out again after a long drive. The local KFC was the handy option. Maybe we should have had a pizza ... The Saturday morning breakfast was fine and we enjoyed it on the terrace.
