Instant coffee at breakfast ?! absolute no-go. Real coffee must be payed 3GBP per cup. Sorry guys this is not acceptable when I book breakfast package.

From the moment we entered the building we were treated very well. Check in process was quick, simple and very informative. The room we were allocated was very clean and welcoming with everything we could need for a one night stay whilst in the area for the purpose of attending a cremation. We didn’t partake of the breakfast as we had to be away fairly quickly in the morning but it did smell delicious. Maybe if we are over that way again we will have a more relaxed stay and be able to eat with yourselves. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel to anybody. It is located in a very easy to find position and is well illuminated from the roadside.

The location was ok for my requirements. I wasn't told when I checked in that I needed to use my room card to make the lift work so I stood waiting for it for 10 minutes before going back to Reception to ask if it was broken. He then explained. There is no signage to that effect at the actual lift either which isn't helpful. I left a charging plug and cable in the room and messaged as soon as I realised it was missing but they "couldn't find it". Despite the cable being bright blue! The hotel was bearable but the lack of tea and coffee is the room is annoying if your room is upstairs. They also don't do food on Fridays and Saturdays so I ended up having sandwiches from the petrol garage for my evening meal. The bed was a double, but the mattress toppers were different heights so it wasn't comfortable to spread out on and I had to sleep as if it was a single bed. Little space for luggage in the room. The shower room was freezing cold. I ended up putting the heat on full and leaving the door open in an attempt to get rid of the cold. It worked up to a point. The is the first budget hotel I've stayed in and it was only chosen because of the location. I wouldn't deliberately choose to stay there again.
