I cannot fault our stay at Mercure Hawkwell House. The service was excellent; staff were polite and always keen to help. The room was beautiful with everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed and air conditioning. The bar, dining room and outside areas were kept clean and tidy. It is well situated near bus stops for a short journey into Oxford. I would recommend staying here.

The breakfast was good - Caesar salad on the evening menu only had lettuce and chicken - did the chef forget about the other ingredients?

From moment we arrived on site, we could see that a wedding was on and parking was going to be a problem but member of staff was available and helped immediately with parking solution. Stayed in Elm House at the back of the main hotel. Lovely room, superb air conditioning when 30 degrees outside. Nice bar and outside sitting area. Breakfast had a good selection and regularly refreshed. 10 mins uber to city centre. Quiet location.

We had a lovely 2-day stay - hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and well equipped. Very glad of the air-con as the weather was very hot whilst we were there! Even though there was a wedding on, it was very quiet. Parking was tricky but we were given a permit by the hotel to park on a nearby road.
