Confusing check in which still needed human intervention. I had received a email asking for room preference - I asked for quiet and low floor but the allocated room was on the first floor so had to be changed. Random charge on check in not explained very well. Only one bar opened all weekend despite the hotel being fully booked for BTCC final race weekend. Sunday night it took 40 minutes to get served at the bar at around 9pm. Reception Manager explained the charge - something to do with points redeemed - and transferred the amount towards our breakfast costs. Use this hotel twice a year and redeem points regularly so not sure what the problem was. I’m a Silver member and should receive a free drink for each booking but as I had booked twice - once to arrive Friday and then to arrive Saturday I did not receive the Saturday drink. If you offer it as a reward I should be able to receive it.

Fantastic hotel team, amazing restaurant, Indian food was awesome and our waiter was amazing and attentive. The room was great, highly recommend this hotel for a weekend break alongside some motorsports.

I normally love a hotel’s full English breakfast but the one I endured this morning was the worst ever. It was like a bad 1970’s cheap attempt - hash browns were pure old cooking oil taste, had one bite and that was more than enough. The bacon and sausages had a strange taste and as for the mushrooms, the smell was odd enough not to even try them. Only thing that tasted right were the baked beans !!! I then tried a croissant thinking they’d be ok but they were hard and seemed old. Even a banana I tried looked like it had been there a week. Really, really disappointing AND more expensive that a Premier Inn breakfast !!!

sadly, nobody will read this but here goes!! I tried to find out what the menu at the restaurant was and to book a table so, I emailed ha… and just a couple of times but NOTHING!! I then called 01… , both as shown on my booking confirmation email. The phone just rang continuosly and was never answered!! NOT good. When I got to reception to collect my room ticket, I had already checked in online, the system did not recognise me, NOT good. So I went to reception to get my room keys and mentioned the lack of response but the person said they couldn't help and I needed to speak to someone else. NOT good. I then spoke to someone else who said sorry but didnt seem too interested in doing anything about it or asking my email address etc. etc. NOT good. The room was cold so we wanted to put on the aircon but a button was missing and couldnt do anything. NOT good. We then spotted an electric heater so plugged that in but it didnt work. NOT good. We put into another socket and it was fine. The bathroom had no extractor fan in an enslosed room with no window so steamed up immediately. NOT good. We then went to the restaurant and the poor staff were run off their feet as it was busy. It was the last round of BTCC so was busy and I'm sure you were aware of that? The bar that evening was simply atrocious with the number of people trying to get a drink and only 2 staff (most of the time) serving. The queue was out the door most of the night and one of the staff kept asking whose next and people at the other end of the bar were getting served by her immediately. She MUST have seen the queue. NOT good. I am sure there were other things but I think you have plenty to work on there. It cost us a lot of money for 2 rooms, 3 meals at the restaurant and drinks at the bar so it was defintely nowhere near worth it in my humble opinion. Finally, we go to this event most years and its always pretty bad but this was worse. I look forward to hearing from you but wont hold my breath. Thanks

1 teabag in a room for 2, Clean cups not provided, waited 1hour 10 mins for drinks order to arrive with meal. Breakfast orange that tasted like it had never met an orange, and crisp breakfast pastries (not in a good way) . The lady on the desk when we checked in (whom we have met on previous visits) was really helpful and a lovely lady all round. I think her name is something like Amelia. She was the only part of the hotel service which was professional to an expected standard. We have stayed in this hotel many many times - this is likely the last.

Room was used when we arrived. Rubbish in bins, bed crumpled and pillows squashed. Golf tee, and a nail left on bed. Not a great first impression. Bed looked clean inside. Reported to reception and told it had been cleaned but may have been used for a staff break???? Otherwise ok, comfortable bed to sleep in. I have booked elsewhere for my next visit.

How can the staff who are just standing there not check you in or out? Their first response is that we need to use the machines even though they are standing there doing nothing. Would only use hotel again due to location to circuit. Food in the bar took a very very long time to arrive both Friday and Saturday
