A last minute get away for the night. Staff friendly and helpful with any requests that we had. The only downfall was that the pool was extremely cold meaning my son couldn’t swim for long and that the main restaurant was closed that evening so dinner was in the bar.

On arrival the front of house informed me they had an issue with heating, the room had a portable heater but the rest of the hotel was freezing and our purpose was to stay in the bar and watch the football and darts, with a one year old child this was not possible. To add to the misery of not being able to watch the sport in the bar I then had a few beers in the room and each one served in a cider glass, it’s the little details that matter. On departure in the morning I wasn’t asked how our stay was I was just told by the reception staff that it was freezing, yes I had noticed!!!

I understand everyone expectation and opinion is different that's why im just expressing my experience as follows: We booked a overnight as a couple away and we were looking forward for it after we search on google.com and looked at the picture on the website. Unfortunately was nothing like in the pictures regarding the swimming pool (the water was to cold)restaurant (not even opened and we had to order via Deliveroo). The only OK think was the bar , the room and the receptionist lady that was nice when we arrived in our room and realised that we don’t have heating.I called the recipient and she came,checked herself and offered us a different room that had heating. Not recommend for family or overnight couple with hight expectation, sorry.
