We were visiting family for an event and paid the £245 begrudgingly. However, to charge that amount for a night, there are certain expectations and a level of cleanliness is non negotiable. Bedding was questionable, dust and cobwebs throughout the room and the bathroom was poor Add to this breakfast being sparse with a non working pancake machine and a toaster that was sub optimal. The whole experience was poor. I'd love to comment on a drink from the lobby bar but I fear id still be waiting there for someone to serve me.

It was amazing the only thing I would change is the double bed could actually be a double bed instead of 2 singles put together as we kept falling between it, and the shower had some mould from condensation and there was water all over the floor when we showered

Arrived to not having the correct room for my disabled son again. Even though the booking stated that was what was needed. This happened last year as well. One experience was enough but to have two is complete lack of understanding. The person on reception kept apologising and told us on the booking form it did state what room was needed for my son. Someone else had given my son's room to someone else. The room was booked for four days. The hotel did not live up to expectations again. The staff are very good but that does not make up for the lack of my son having to sit and wait again for the room he needed and booked ages ago. The room he was offered was totally inadequate has he couldn’t get into the bathroom in his chair the shower had a step into it approximately 6 inches high for someone who can’t walk or stand this was totally inappropriate. Has anyone from the hotel actually read about disabled rights and the things that are acceptable to them.

I payed for the stay months before staying they over charged me by £30 more than it cost then I emailed them to try and get the extra money back i didn't get a response Then the night of the stay Got there with my wife and 1 yr old daughter they said they had not received payment i explained not only have i payed i have been over charged after back and forth with the receptionist she said I have put a note on your file for a £30 refund the payment was ment to be £80 they charged me £110 The room It was horrendous it was so unclean floors tables cups all drity and the dust!! was really unimpressed plus the toilet was leaking The day after when we got home i get an alert on my phone to say I have been charged by the hotel AGAIN! The dispute is still on going

We added an extra night before our original reservation, and the experience, rooms, and staff were great. When we switched rooms to our original reservation the next day, trainwreck of an experience. Room 226 - not fit for reservations or occupancy. No air. No vents for air. No chairs, no lamps, a family room with one towel, and a leaking toilet. When I brought this up to staff, they said Yes, it wasn't ready and they were surprised it was available for reservations, and there was nothing they could do for us. HORRIBLE experience. We will not be back.

The hotel is situated next to brands hatch and the hotel continues the racing theme. The racing memorabilia in the hotel makes me smile every time I walk past it. It’s one of my favourite hotels I stay in.

I have 2 issues with my stay. 1. I paid extra for early check-in during the booking. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told they missed that part in my booking, and there was nothing they could do. We arrived at 11 am and had to sit around till 1.30 pm. 2. The room we were given was unfinished. Our room was supposed to have a kitchenette. There were unfinished cabinets with a sink. No cooking facility or any utensils. Also, there was no desk/drawers, nothing to put your things on. When I spoke to reception, they informed me the room was unfinished, but the owner of the hotel still rents it out, and there was nothing they could do.

I cannot say how delighted my husband and I were with our recent stay at the Mercure Darford Brands Hatch Hotel! From the time of making our reservation with the lovely Becky, who arranged everything from dinner, as we were part of a larger group attending an event at the circuit, and who we had the pleasure to meet during our stay; to the warm, friendly reception we received both on arrival and departure, from the friendly, professional and delightful Aurelie on the Front Desk, it was a truly memorable stay. We will definitely be staying there again and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel! We also used the Spa and pool which was a bonus! The party we were with had dinner in a private dining room. The standard of presentation and the quality of all the different dishes served throughout the evening were of a top gourmet standard and at least everyone I spoke to shared that opinion. We were not rushed and the wine and drinks flowed! A memorable time was had by all. The staff are a credit to the establishment. Keep up the good work and see you again soon.

Really didn’t feel this was up the standards I’d expect from a Mercure. We arrived and the bar was closed so couldn’t get a hot chocolate for the kids. The corridor to the rooms were shabby and our room smelt of stale smoke. I am a gold member and didn’t receive an upgrade.

We were disappointed with the room, it was very poorly lit and with all the lamps on (of which one only worked for one day) the room was extremely dark even in the day time. The bathroom was well lit but the mirror having two strip lights in it made it impossible to see clearly and was blinding. The room was not cleaned very well and I would put this down to the fact that the cleaner could not possibly see what she/he was doing. The shower has mould in it. Some instructions on how to regulate the heating would be appreciated, the weather was appalling and we arrived back to the room very damp and cold after a day on track and had difficulty altering the settings and getting the room to warm up.

A perfect stay as usual. Room was clean and bed extremely comfortable. Reception staff welcoming and professional. Would have liked a robe to use the steam room and sauna area but that's a minor thing
