The hotel is located within impressive grounds with a long driveway and plenty of parking. The historic building has an impressive frontage. As with many hotels in historic buildings, the rooms are a bit variable. It was good to see that there was painting and decorating taking place within the building and it had a feel of being on the up and up. The restaurant and bar area were very good. We found all the staff to be excellent, so would definitely stay again.
