We took the long drive from South Wales to celebrate my daughter's engagement. Our stay at the hotel was just for one night. On arrival we were very impressed with the hotel frontage. Once inside we were greeted by very friendly staff who, whilst busy with other guests, took the time to chat about our journey and reason for stay. Added bonus-free drink from the bar! There were 5 of us, needing 3 rooms and we were very pleased to discover that we had been allocated a "wing" to ourselves with 3 rooms all together. This was very welcome as the hotel was very busy and the bar area was noisy with customers. The rooms were spacious, well presented with a huge TV, and very clean. The only downside was that our room was VERY cold, especially the bathroom, due to the radiator being off. There was no thermostat on the radiator but with a bit of fiddling I got it to work. Would have been nice if this had been checked before we arrived as it took a long time to warm up. Our bed was immense and super comfortable so we slept very well. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. All in all a good experience and would stay here again without hesitation.

Convenient to get to and straight forward check in. Lovely spa and friendly staff. Great restaurant with good food. It was a bit cold in the hotel but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant - room was lovely free partaking We got upgraded and was able to attend the 90’s event Kindly looked after by all staff especially the chefs who caterered for our non halal requirements and made us seabass especially for us Would highly recommend and come back again Thank you!

Check in was delayed so we tried to go swimming with our little boy but kids weren’t allowed at that time so had to sit in the bar for 2 hours. When we did get to our room the cleaning hadn’t been compleated.dirty mugs bin not emptied nothing replenished. Double Ben was 2 singles pushed together so my partner kept falling down the middle. Apart from this room was spacious.food was lovley service was really good.staff lovley and when we did get to go swimming the next morning the pool was lovley.

We booked a renovated courtyard room in which we stayed many time. There was no main heating only plug in convector heater. The bar early evening was packed with no space or social distancing. At breakfast, the queue came from breakfast bar out of restaurant into the bar. No social distancing and very few wearing masks to the extent that we felt so uncomfortable that we decided not to stay for breakfast. At checkout when we reported to reception the reply was just "sorry" but no offer of a refund for missed breakfast.

I booked 2 rooms, 202 was fine but I stayed in room 210. Unfortuantely the radiator didn't work and the sink didn't drain. The last time I got woken up was at 1am when the music was still playing at the party held at the hotel. My friend was not disturbed by the noise at all and while the room was a temperature fine for me, it wouldn't of been suitable for my friend at all. I'm not easily upset and despite these events I still enjoyed my stay very much. I understand I could of made you aware of these problems at the time and hopefully they would of got remedied. Only problem I had a wheelchair and our room was so far from reception staff was great but the lift really needs air fresheners I was nearly sick every time I used it

The spa and treatments were very relaxing. We had booked a family room for 3 people but on arrival only had two cups and two teabags, so had to ask for more , we also found that there was no fridge in the room meaning we faced an issue as my mothers medication required refrigeration. On our inquiry we were told a small fridge in the room would be an extra cost, we agreed to pay this but it took at least two separate requests before we got one. We found the evening meal excellent, well cooked and well presented but in stark contrast to the breakfast as this was overcooked and dry. The Sunday morning breakfast was a total disaster and we asked for a refund. This was due to the fact that the day before a wedding had been held and all the overnight guests from the wedding were in the main restaurant for breakfast, queues were huge! Not the relaxing end to the spa weekend we had hoped for

This was my fourth visit. I love this hotel and prefer the traditional to the new. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The male on reception, name I cannot recall was super helpful and friendly and gave me a free voucher for a drink for being a loyal customer. He also rang my room to explain that the loyalty points would only be applied for food and drink as I did not make the booking. Food and service are excellent and hope I can return.

We stayed in a Privilege room and having stayed in another hotel the previous night we were disappointed. We had a shower room, no bath, although the was a coffee machine with 3 coffee pods and a couple of bathrooms nothing else felt special about the room. Breakfast was ok, but we walked down a featureless corridor and outside under a covered walkway and through a cold bar area, I guess it was closed, to get there. It felt like a Premier Inn. Our previous hotel had a bathroom two or three times the size, a comfortable sofa in front of the TV and better bathrobes.
