We arrived at 6pm but our room wasn't ready. We were given vouchers for a free drink which was a good gesture. Our room wasn't ready until 7pm but we had been given an upgrade to an executive room. Lovely room and a shame we had to leave so early for a flight!

Check-in took a few minutes longer than usual due to issues with the laptop on reception. Room was very basic. The separate toilet was not clean, there were visible splash marks on the wall. There were hairs on the bathroom floor and also on the base of the table in the bedroom, indicating that the room had not been vacuumed. Around the sink and bath were not entirely clean.

I stayed for one night due to a business meeting. The room was comfortable and spacious with nice toiletries. it would have been a 10/10 if the hotel was not so noisy; I could hear other guests flushing their loos and coming up and down the corridor.

It couldn't be better located, specially if you're planning on going to an event at the NEC like us. But while we were there we noticed somethings that bothered us a bit. The halls were being repainted and it looked quite unpleasant, we only got one towel for the two of us, and the bath drain was clogged, so while showering we would end up with a small pool. We didn't make a big case of it since we barely stayed in the room. Check in starting at 3pm and checkout ending at 12pm is a bit scummish in my opinion. But other than that, everybody was friendly, the breakfast was great, bedroom itself was nice and big and location was superb.

Comfy beds and good idea with the refillable water but there was no glasses to put the water into. The plug sockets next to the bed didn't work on either side so we had no way to charge our phones before our flight. Bathroom door was also extremely creaky which was very inconvenient in the middle of the night. Good location but needs better maintenance.
