If you are catching an early flight and want to avoid the stress of getting to the airport, then the Novotel at Birmingham Airport is a really good option. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. There is a bar serving food as well as a restaurant for dinner. We had breakfast which was good value. On checking out, the departure terminal is right across the road, so no hassle with courtesy buses etc. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is good for Airport departures. The room was pleasant, but the sound insulation was non-existent. Our neighbours talked loudly on the phone and it took a while before we could get to sleep.

Rooms are spacious but food is too limited.Since its an airport hotel facilities should not be time based. Play area removed due to maintenance but no alternatives arranged. When you advertise as Kid friendly this should be considered

Have stayed with you in the past and enjoyed the experience but this time we stayed with renovations in progress - not good. It didn't start well on arrival. The pre-registration hadn't worked and the checkin assistant didn't understand English well and it took a time to get the level of room requested - still not sure we had an executive. The restaurant menu was curtailed because of work in hand. The new decor is very masculine and one of the bathroom mirrors better suits a tall gentleman - not good for relaxing after a busy day at an exhibition. BUT the youngEeuropean staff in the bars and restaurant were great - happy smiley people and the room staff were working under difficult conditions.

We were attending NEC for Motorcycle live. So handy for the show. Staff were very polite although the bar was very busy service was quick and efficient check in was easy Room was lovely shower was amazing everywhere was very clean. Would highly recommend this hotel and will hopefully return one day.

An easy stay at teh airport

This hotel makes flying from BHX so easy. I park in car park 1, 5 minutes walk to the hotel and then just cross the road the next morning for my flight. The staff are very friendly and my room was comfortable. Only one issue, given the green focus now the toiletries provided in plastic bottles which are too large for a single night stay which is the most common for this location.

The start was distressing as due to a computer glitch and over booking we did not get our room until the second night of our stay. The staff arranged a bed for the night in the Ibis hotel. We took our meals in the Novotel and all the staff in the Novotel were very helpful, especially the reception manager and the restaurant and bar manager.

We stay here to attend the MCM convention at the NEC. It is a great help that the hotel take our bags before check in so we don’t have to carry them around all day. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in had been refurbished and we noticed the improvement from our last stay. Beds were comfy, everything was clean and it was good to finally stay somewhere with plugs/charging points by the bed. This is our first choice hotel for NEC events.

All was fine at Novatel Birmingham Airport UK. In an upgraded room on 5th floor. No problems experienced. Breakfast was better than within the airport with better ingredients and self service. All staff friendly.

Pre flight stay

Stayed at Novotel as usual prior to our flight. Holiday is convenient clan and rooms have recently been nicely refurbished. Put room was cold and we couldn’t turn the heating up to a comfortable temperature. Ended up developing a cold. That’s only complaint tho. Breakfast was ok. And the evening meals in their restaurant looked nice. We chose to eat in the airport restaurant but will try the hotel bar menu next time. Drinks bit pricey tho.
