Overall fast friendly service, room was standard had everything you need, spa was okay, food standards wasn’t great breakfast in bed wasn’t worth the money for the quality of food and restaurant experience in there was shocking, waited nearly 2 hours for food while people who had been sat down 20 mins already had their starters and then our food come out wrong, our waiters James & Lydia made things less frustrating for us and were nothing but apologetic and sorted everything for us while the man who seemed to be running things was stomping around banging on furniture not professional at all. Give the other 2 credit for how well they handled the situation and they are the reason I’ve give it 5 star they were spot on

We've stayed at this hotel before and hot always a good experience. This time much improved. Friendly staff, good service and our junior suite was stocked in accordance with my requests. Only complaint was that housekeeping service finished at 2:00pm and we wanted to rest after long journey therefore missed having suite cleaned/serviced on the first day. Otherwise would have given a 9 or 10 rating.

We stayed at the Mercure Haydock for a family wedding. The hotel its self is in a great location and the facilities are excellent. Drinks and food were top notch in my opinion I would really recommend. I would like to say a big thank you to Sarah who catered for our all our needs and couldn't of asked for anymore from her 👍
