The outside and bar areas of the hotel are nice and the staff are all friendly. The hotel was in a good location for our trip to Haydock races. Our room was comfortable but is looking dated. There was also no air con in the room which didn't help on a very warm weekend. Breakfast was expensive at nearly £17 and was very poor quality for the price. Most of the hot buffet items were tough to eat as were the pastries.

Our window didn't open and put toilet didn't work properly, would flush. We only had one night so reported this in the morning before we left. Delicious breakfast and lovely comfortable and warm room.
