The staff, with one exception, were delightful to deal with. Nothing .was too much trouble and everyone smiled. The one exception was the receptionist on checking in on Sunday 14th June between 4 and 5pm. The door from the car park did not work when the buzzer was pressed meaning we had to walk round with our bags. We are in our late 70's and I am registered disabled. The receptionist was dismissive and came across as uncaring. She said the buzzer hadn't worked in reception and did not apologise for our inconvenience. She also misadvised us concerning when the car had to be removed from the car park and was quite terse when we said we did not realise we had to pay. She said it was on the website (which I subsequently found was true, but only if you click on the car park label on hotel info). Fortunately the rest of your staff more than made up for this shaky start.

However, I am very sorry to learn about your arrival experience. I appreciate how frustrating it must have been to find the car park entrance buzzer not working, particularly given your mobility requirements and the need to carry luggage around to the main entrance. I am also disappointed to hear that the response you received at reception came across as dismissive and lacked the empathy and apology that the situation deserved. We strive to provide a warm and welcoming experience for all our guests, and it is clear that we fell short on this occasion. Your comments regarding the communication about the car park arrangements and the manner in which this information was conveyed have been noted and will be discussed with the team to help us improve. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and for recognising the efforts of the rest of our staff. Reception staff not overly friendly on night of 13th when I arrived. Was a little perturbed to find out that parking was extra and cost additional £15. Because of that i will not consider for future visits

We still have 3 x £30 payments pending for car parking, and 1 x £355 for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast still pending. We have of course paid already. Staff refused several attempts to sort this out.
