I stayed at the Paignton hotel for a week with my elderly Aunt - from start to finish the staff were incredibly helpful, I had many questions about accessibility for my Aunt who uses a wheelchair & walker to get around. They were able to ease my worries before I arrived. When we did arrive the staff on the front desk were lovely, welcoming helped us. The dinning staff (waitresses, waitors & front of house) were lovely! They took time to talk to us, get to know us & made us feel welcomed. The staff in the dining room had some very difficult customers but they also stayed professional & often checked on us to ensure we were happy & content with our food and enjoying our visit. We are looking to book again soon 😀

We had a comfortable stay at the Mercure Paignton and the big plus was that the hotel is well located and we were made to feel welcome with our little dog. The car park is small but out of season, this was not a problem, just a bit pricey at £15 per day. The big disappointment and the reason for the score was the poor quality of the breakfast buffet. Particularly the cooked food which was very dry and tasteless. It was a shame as everything else went well. Although checking in was a long process too even at a quiet time.

Massive rooms and decorated tastefully Nice breakfast Lovely stay My only complaint would be parking at £15. Most hotel car parks are £5 max for guests.

Room was clean and well serviced. Despite booking dinner table staff seemed confused about it and reception staff failed to answer telephone over extended period of time so had to attend in person. It wasn’t busy!

Really pleasantly surprised how nice this place is , room was amazing with a fantastic panoramic view of Torbaydos and the Staff were pleasant especially Amy whom when above and beyond, would definitely recommend a stay for the Wow factor!!
