We had booked another accommodation in London and after the 1st night knew we had to just leave. Walked past the Mercure Hotel Bankside and asked if they had a room for our remaining 3 nights and luckily they did. Cameron was really helpful and a delight to deal with, got our reservation ready and we moved from our other place. The hotel was great; clean, comfortable and quiet. The gym was a bonus for my son that we hadn’t expected. It’s been added to my list of places to stay!

As with all hotels, waterfall shower heads are great when they get descaled regularly, which they don't. So having to use the handheld shower was annoying as the overhead one was too clogged and the water wasn't coming out and what was coming out, was coming in different directions. Personally, I also prefer firm pillows. Otherwise, the hotel and the room were excellent- clean, had a mini fridge, the breakfast selection was very good, lots of food options around. Would definitely choose it again the next time I have a trip to London.
