I spent a very pleasant four nights at the Mercure London Bridge. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. There was a small issue with the tv in my room which they fixed extremely promptly. Everything at the hotel is covid compliant and everything felt sparkling clean. My room was spacious with an excellent shower. It was on the street, but the double glazing was excellent, so it was totally quiet. The hotel is really well located for a trip to London, very near Tate Modern and the South Bank in one direction, Borough Market and the Tower of London in the other direction. There's also a bus stop just outside and it's a very short walk to Southwark tub station. Lots of places to eat nearby, the excellent Table for breakfast (very popular on the weekends), Gails for breakfasts and snacks, and a really nice little Italian restaurant (Capricci - it looks like a bar, but excellent food and great wines). I will be back soon!

We stayed as gold accor members and were expecting the usual gold member perks. We were upgraded into a room that was called a suite which turned out not to be as nice as the family rooms which have a balcony. We also only received a one drinks voucher even though we had multiple people staying over. We had to ask for the voucher. We never received the gold member local gift. We had to also wait 20 minutes for the room to become available. Breakfast was great.

Room was not ready when we checked in at 4pm. And we need to wait for 2 hours at the lobby. And also, there was a long queue for morning breakfast as well. No battery for TV remote, no water in the room. This hotel is a joke!!

Young man on front desk couldn't be nicer Flagged us a taxi for our trip to savoy. Room was clean, coffee machine, shame no hot chocolate. Shower fab. I would highly recommend it, we walked to Covent Garden in evening so its well located

I had such high hopes for this trip as a 15+ years loyal accor member. Hence why choosing for this to be the first holiday for me (Police) and my Girlfriend (NHS) after a busy 12 months working intense hours. It was also by 40th Birthday. All of which the hotel knew as I deliberately booked direct for that reason. I paid for the Privilege king room and on check in was informed I had an upgrade......only to find myself on the first floor in a room less than half the size I was expecting with a view of a brick wall and broken appliances. I also paid for breakfast which was the most horrendous ordeal ever, having to queue for over an hour as 1 gentleman served everyone cooked breakfast, juice and toast (it was so so disorganised while 3 other staff who could have been service were just waiting to wipe down tables). Needless to say we skipped breakfast the 2nd day. I mentioned this at the time and was only offered a complimentary latte on check out, which we again had to wait 25 minutes for and when it arrived it was barely lukewarm. I have never been more disappointed with any trip ever, especially when I had been looking forward to my 40th trip to London for over a year!!

I like this hotel: it's convenient for work, the staff are GREAT and the rooms are generally very comfortable. It is, however, too hot - and it's hard to cool the room down. This wouldn't be too bad if either water was provided, or if something to drink tap water out of was provided which was bigger than a small paper cup. I woke up very dehydrated, and that's not what you want after a hotel stay. Cool the rooms, provide water and this would be a great hotel.

We were very impressed with the hotel's understanding of our special needs due to urgent appointment at Guy's hospital and need for shielding during our stay. Marco (the manager) and Paulina were both extremely helpful and we just regret we could not thank them in person because they were not on duty during our stay. The stay itself was very good and hotel is very covid secure and we ate in the hotel restaurant to minimize exposure and all was good.

Very convenient hotel for Tate modern and the Globe. Overall the reception staff and breakfast staff are absolutely fantastic and really cannot be faulted in any way. However when it comes to servicing the room it is a totally different matter. On our recent stay there was continuing problems every day. We stayed for over a week and the floor was never cleaned or surfaces wiped even where we made the tea or coffee unless we complained about, which we had to do continually. The front desk staff took it seriously and communicated with the room staff - they would do it after a complaint but the next day would be just the same. They also made the bed so it looked good on top, but the bottom sheet was always rucked up so we had to remake it every night. Not really good enough for a 4 star hotel. One night we came back to the room and couldn’t find the remote control for the television. We looked everywhere and couldn’t find it, but when we came to go to bed they had thrown the covers over it! Such a shame that for such a friendly hotel the cleaning staff let them all down. Think overall they need a refurbish as everything in the rooms was a little tired and the carpets seemed quite old and stained in several places. For some reason they have stopped leaving face flannels in the bathroom which was a disappointment.

Good location for cafes, bars, Restaurants (borough market 6/7 mins - but similar to nearest tube), funky and friendly, but reception (desk in the middle of the floor!) empty a lot. Comfortable, spacious room, well insulated, and great bed.

Staff in this hotel are simply amazing. The location is excellent, however the bus (A7) which took us from Victoria Station to the vicinity of the hotel did not accept the Oyster Card nor cash, only Credit Card. Thanks to the wonderful, hospitable, multi-lingual people working here every breakfast and contact with the reception was absolutely pleasant and something to look forward to. We felt we were treated like good friends, not simply hotel guests. Highly recommended!
