Highly recommended for an overnighter before an early flight

Great hotel for an overnighter before an early flight. Got a cheeky upgrade which included a complimentary minibar which was very welcome. Great staff, lovely rooms and a nice meal in the bar behind reception. Highly recommended

Ok if you just need a room.

We booked this hotel as it is next to T5 and we had an early flight. We booked a deluxe room which was clean and presentable. Overall the room was good value. We had a drink and meal in the bar. The bar seats have seen better days and were all peeled and need replacing. This is not acceptable when the hotel is upmarket and charging a lot. We had a chicken butter curry and the meat was cheap thigh. It was more like a soup than a curry. When they charge £20 plus service charge I would expect breast meat. There was also a couple of power cuts during the night and no explanation or apology for it. We would book this hotel again but just for the room and would avoid eating and drinking in the hotel.

Incredible time

Quiet Comfort in the Heart of Heathrow Terminal 5

TripAdvisor rating 5.0/5

We stayed at the Sofitel Hotel located directly in Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport for one night after a flight. We were traveling with my wife and our 5-year-old daughter. The room was clean and well maintained — overall, we really liked it. Special respect for the soundproofing. Honestly, I’ve never seen windows this thick anywhere before. Considering this is an airport hotel, the room was surprisingly quiet and very comfortable. The curtains were great, and the blackout curtains helped a lot — it made adjusting to the new time zone much easier after the flight. The 12:00 check-out time is very convenient. It allows you to wake up calmly in the morning, relax, and enjoy breakfast at the restaurant without rushing. In my opinion, the breakfast is a bit overpriced — more than £30 per person for not a huge variety. The selection itself is generally fine, but there was one downside: the vegetables and spinach leaves were not properly washed. I would recommend that the chef or responsible staff pay closer attention to controlling this. I’d also like to highlight the service in the restaurant. We were served by a waitress named Theresa, who was very friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our breakfast more pleasant with her attitude. Overall, it’s an excellent option for an overnight stay at the airport — quiet, comfortable, and very convenient, especially after a long flight.

Minimum wage staff and £19.50 for a glass of wine 🙄

£19.50 for a glass of Malbec 😬 You pay your staff minimum wage. Until recently they got no tips until the law required. Ashamed you’re not but you really should be.
