An upmarket, comfortable hotel that is adjacent to T5 at Heathrow. It has a lot going for it, but also it could do better. The starting point is the approach to the car park. On a dark, rainy night, the signposting was inadequate. Despite two pairs of eyes and GPS instructions, we missed it first time round and went through the bus/coach lanes. Even second time round, the signs were hard to see, and we weren’t the only cars backing up. Nothing much changed inside the complex, but we did eventually find our way into the car park. Inside the hotel, reception was busy and slow. There was a steady queue of people and only two receptionists. We had checked in on-line, but that did not speed up the process. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Minor grumbles: no charging points near the bed; no hot or cold labels on the bathroom sink taps; lighting controls that were a triumph of technology/design over function - fiddly to operate. We ate in the Sphere Bar where the staff were excellent, food good, wine over-priced - a bottle of Viognier at £40 which is probably a four times mark up. The walk from reception to T5 was longer than anticipated and brings you out at the parking level where we have previously left our car for valet parking. Could have stayed at an off airport hotel and had airport parking for less money and shorter walks.

May I please thank you for your incredible service from Ivan (security manager) and checking staff on Tuesday Dec 16th. We admittedly arrived just a bit earlier than expected and were very kindly given the most fabulous room. I was hoping that the general manager is informed just how happy my wife and I were with our stay. We’ve stayed quite a lot over the past few years and always delighted. Absolutely wonderful ! We arrived for a one night stay before our 35th Anniversary of our 1st Date trip to NYC. As we had already checked in online, we were directed to Aartee who said she had upgraded our room! We thanked her & said that was very kind as we were celebrating our anniversary. She then upgraded us again!!! Genuinely amazing customer experience! All the concierge team were fabulous too, as was our table host in the bar that evening. What an amazing, memorable start to our trip - thank you 😊

We have stayed here several times and are likely to continue as the rooms are quite comfortable and offer everything you need for a short stay while its proximity to the terminal is a major plus. Having said that, a couple of things did surprise us this time - the bar and La Belle Epoque restaurant. The bar is beginning to look a bit shabby as a lot of the seating showed a lot of wear and tear and we are sure for some, sitting may not have been comfortable. It really needs sorting. With regards to La Belle Epoque, the food, wine and service was very good but we both felt it did not warrant the cost we had to pay. We also felt the high cost had impacted on the number of diners of which there were just a few with a resultant drop in the ambiance. When next at the hotel, we therefore feel we will eat in the other restaurant. We will however be using the hotel again.
