When I arrived, I had to get the receptionist's attention as she was talking to a colleague and ignoring me. I was then told that I had to leave £100 deposit. When I said that this wasn't mentioned online, it was waived as a "special favour". I have checked again since, nowhere is the deposit mentioned.Though it was cold, a window had been left open. At night, the smoke alarm came on though I don't smoke, vape and had nothing cooking. The worst was that noone came up to check if I was OK. Positive points : next to a bus stop, kitchen and bathroom all right.

I called prior to booking to enquire about the biggest balcony size, as I wanted to use that place to propose I was told the 4 people room. When I arrived I went to my rooom and it had the small balcony, I then asked for a bigger and was told the 2 person room has the bigger balcony. I asked if my room could be changed and was told that they are all full. This is a once in a lifetime experience and it was ruined as I was given the wrong information and then couldn’t be helped out at all. I wasn’t able to have the experience I wanted and therefore wasted my money.

Only drawbacks were limited options in breakfast and only weekly cleaning instead of once in 3 days

Some good some bad ! room size good, Monika and Rishval on reception Bad- sockets in wrong place in kitchen, bathroom needs a deep clean, walls need refreshing, no comfy chairs to sit on. Original photos had shown a settee, TV in a ridiculous place. Broken chipped crockery, microwave controls rubbed off, not enough cutlery. Corridor outside studio very, very uneven! Asked to speak to the manager 2 days running was assured she would be in touch SHE WAS NOT A previous reviewer mentioned being fobbed off we agree. A visit to Staybridge suites could give a benchmark!
