Recently stayed here and its a great location just outside the centre. But to start with the negatives, we checked in ,in the evening and had to pay extra for the dog which we knew but on checking the receipt we were charge £20 instead of £15, the young girl was very polite and said she would leave a note for the day staff to sort out which was fine. But on checking out we raised the matter with the receptionist and it was like a scene from "computer says no sketch " She said the prices had gone up and that was right, I showed her the email confirmation and after a frown said 'give me you card' and she put the money back on, no apology, smile nothing. It was only £5 which is nothing but it spoilt the whole experience and i think it was coming straight out of her wages. On checking other reviews people have had problems with her before. Maybe some training needed here. As for the dog charge you get nothing for it, I know they say for extra cleaning, but it should be cleaned anyway, other hotels charge £10 and you get dog beds, treats etc. Apart from that the hotel is well set out will plenty of facilities in the room and free parking but if you take a dog there are better alternatives

Very bsd experience cane with ny partner the room was dirty abd the foid was cold not wirth the money we paid ,the receptiinist think her name was laura wasnt very nice and snapped at my partner and not very wellcoming and wheb we walked away she was smirking not very professional for a middleage women to act,because of her we will not be returning im afraid or recomend

Excellent stay with the exception that the settee in the suite was very deep (front to back) - not at all comfortable, indeed impossible, to lean back. Helpful friendly reception staff provided additional pillows to overcome the problem but it really needs large deep cushions as it is not fit for purpose in it's present form.

This was a return journey to this hotel with two more friends , we had lots of highs but some of the lows mean we are unsure if we will be back which is sad.

We understand how inconvenient and disruptive this must have been, and we appreciate your patience during what does appear to have been a wider system problem. We are also very sorry for the housekeeping oversights you encountered, including the missing amenities, repeated follow-ups for body wash, tissues not being placed in their holder, and the discovery of expired UHT milk. This is far below the standard we aim to provide, and we’re grateful you brought these matters to our attention so they can be addressed immediately with the relevant teams. We’re pleased to hear that the efforts of our reception, bar, and restaurant staff helped lift parts of your stay, and we are especially glad that the young lady in the restaurant and her colleague made such a positive difference to your experience.
