We had specifically asked at time of booking whether there was a function on and requested quiet rooms. This was very important to us. When we arrived we were told that there was "just a group dinner" on. However, it turns out there was a disco until 1.30am which was right below my son's bedroom (409) and it meant he could not sleep. We were in 101 next to reception and heard alot of noise from party goers. It was a poor nights sleep for all of us. Also, the WIFI was very poor and kept losing connection. Breakfast was disappointing - stale pastries, horrible coffee and the hot menu was of mixed quality. However the waiter Ganesh was very helpful. There was also a lack of attention to detail eg missing part on tap, no tissues provided in tissue box, not enough teabags, only one bathrobe in twin. We will not be staying here again.

During the evening, the group requested the use of a small speaker, which we accommodated. Unfortunately, this resulted in more noise than anticipated, and we sincerely apologise that it disturbed both your room and your son’s and affected your night’s sleep. We are equally disappointed to hear about the other aspects of your stay, including the Wi-Fi connection, breakfast quality and the missing or insufficient amenities in the rooms. These details are important, and your comments have been shared with the relevant teams for review and improvement. We fully understand why this experience was particularly disappointing given the importance you had placed on having a quiet stay. Small single room. TV at a different angle when chilling on bed. Small chair available Usual coffee & tea. Nice to have a bath for once and free car parking. Paid £18 per day last week in York centre. Much nicer restaurant and bar area than previous hotel.

We booked the room some time ago and were disappointed when we turned up and were charged £20 for our dog despite receiving an email saying it was £15. When I questioned this I was told that the price was for prepaid bookings but I was not told that at the time. Now I know it was only £5 difference but to be quoted a price which I accepted and then get to the hotel to be told it was another is not a good start to the stay. The room was Ok but the bathroom was a disappointment. I had requested an accessible room which is what I got but the shower was dirty and the tiles were lifting behind the shower. The feet of the shower chair were black with mould and the shelf was rusting and the paint peeling, I pointed this out to the reception on leaving and hope it will make the next persons stay a bit better. I had stayed at the hotel many times some years ago on business and it was a much better experience.

Lovely hotel in a good location with the best staff, always willing to assist and welcoming. Lovely communal areas, although the room I was in could do with some redecorating. The other persons room in my party was decorated to a high standard. Very comfortable bed and excellent sleep.

Family live nearby so convenient for us to stay in. One issue for me is that booking through the hotel you do not receive the offers of extra points from booking online. Not very inclusive in this society. Disappointing.

We had a suite which was lovely to have the extra room. Enjoyed our stay. And used the park & ride suggested by the receptionist to walk around York city without the hassle of traffic congestion. Breakfast was an inclusion with our package and it was fabulous. Staff were very friendly & obliging.
