We booked this hotel at 5pm on the same day so I wasn't expecting much of a Platinum upgrade, but I think they put us in the biggest suite in the hotel, including a massive bath and a four-poster bed. It was incredibly good value even without the upgrade, perhaps because it was last minute and the last day of a holiday weekend, and the rate even included breakfast - I was glad to see free-range eggs and Marmite as well as plant milks on request. It's an old-school Mercure the likes of which I haven't seen for a while, the rooms are probably a little overdue for a renovation - but despite being a little older it was perfectly clean and well-maintained, the public areas were very modern, and all the staff were lovely. I had a great chat with the general manager Sujith over breakfast too. There's a park and ride into the city just down the street, or it's a fairly short drive - we parked on the street en route about a kilometre from the centre for free.

Staff are excellent...even the new ones. Site near to P and R is very convenient. 2 and 3 course meals options could change more frequently Good car park and the hotel is easy to find.
