The hotel is absolutely beautiful set just out side York. The interior has amazing features and the rooms are wonderful super comfortable bed and massive amounts of space. The staff are friendly and will always help and the food is brilliant

We had a nice break. Our room was a little dated and tired, but very clean. The floor boards were very creaky and the plumbing very loud. We were kept awake by the people in the room above. We could hear the floorboards creaking until small hours. Woken up Sunday morning by a loud noise. I guess someone was running a bath and the pipes sounded like someone was drilling . The hotel was spotless and the staff very helpful. The location was good. Despite the noise being a nuisance, we enjoyed our stay. Oh one little moan. Housekeeping let herself into the room without knocking on Saturday morning whilst I was getting dressed.

Very limited availability to restaurant, 8-30 only time available for 3 nights, meal not served until 9-15pm. When it arrived all our meals were excellent but subjected to a 10% service charge although the service was not that good.

The staff were very pleasant, and helpful. The location was good, only 10 minutes drive from the centre of York. The condition is the room and the hotel was quite poor. In our bathroom the taps were loose, the bath was damaged, signs of water damage on the ceiling in our room, the wallpaper in the hallway were peeling.
