Our Solo rooms are designed as a compact option for single occupancy, although we appreciate that the bathroom space in particular can feel quite tight. Room types and prices can vary depending on availability and booking dates, so we’re sorry if this wasn’t clear when making your reservation. I completely understand your frustration regarding the payment query and the way this was communicated to you. Internal billing arrangements should not create unnecessary inconvenience for our guests, and our team should always take ownership of resolving these matters. I’m also sorry that the communication surrounding the Wi-Fi issue left you feeling that responsibility was being placed on you. Our central location, right by the Merrion Centre and close to the bus and railway stations, certainly makes getting around Leeds nice and easy. I’m pleased that the issue with the TV remote was resolved, although I appreciate it was frustrating to have this during your first evening. We’re also sorry that the coffee machine in your room was not working the following morning. We do understand how disruptive it is to be woken by a fire alarm during the night, and we appreciate your understanding when this happens. Our fire alarm system is there to protect the safety of all our guests and, when activated, we have to follow our procedures to ensure the hotel is safe. Most importantly, I’m disappointed to hear that you felt the reception team were not particularly concerned when you mentioned these issues at checkout. This is certainly not the impression we want to leave with a guest, and I will share your comments with the team. I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back to Leeds and provide you with the comfortable and trouble-free stay you should have experienced.
