Hello Joanne I am so sorry to see that your stay at our property was not as pleasant and as comfortable as we would hope for it to be. I am very pleased to see that our teem members were as welcoming and approachable as we would expect them to be. I am also sorry to learn about your not so comfortable experience with our beds, specifically the bed's that can be turned into a double. And finally it is unfortunate that you had to experience the loading bay in operation early hours. We sincerely apologise for the lengthy check-in process, particularly given your late arrival and the circumstances you describe. We understand how frustrating it must have been to spend 40 minutes at reception when you were hoping to get settled and relax. With regard to payment, we would like to clarify that pre-payment is available when booking our Saver rate, so guests who prefer to have their stay paid for in advance can select this option when making their reservation. We are also sorry that your request for a lower-floor room was not accommodated. We appreciate that you had specifically requested this in advance and understand your disappointment. The repeated noise throughout the night is especially concerning, as a good night's sleep is an important part of any hotel stay. We will look into the source of the noise, as well as the cigarette smoke smell in the corridor, with our team. Regarding your receipt and the lack of availability at reception when you checked out, we apologise for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, on the date of your departure we were operating with only one member of staff due to staff shortages, which meant that the reception desk could have been temporarily unattended. However, we appreciate that this was inconvenient, particularly as you were on your way to a meeting, and we are sorry that we were unable to assist you promptly. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Your feedback has been shared with the relevant teams so that we can review what happened and take steps to improve our service.
