Good stay but disappointed with the shower floor.

The shower floor in Room 112 didn’t have a surround and so even though the shower curtain was fully closed, the mat/ towel became totally sodden. The water even extended by the side of the toilet and I had to soak it all up.

I have stayed in this hotel, Ibis, Sheffield centre, a few times, now, mainly because of the location, and car parking. Rooms are a good size, with very comfy beds. I choose this hotel over the budget because of parking issues. Will definitely stay again.

Had a great stay the happy and extremely helpful gent (I didn’t catch his name :( he was the only bald guy we saw on reception) checked us in effortlessly, helped me join the members program for a free drink ( which I forgot to redeem) and helped extend my stay. The house keepers were super helpful. We were able to sit in the hotels dining area while waiting for our takeaway to show up, we should have just eaten dinner at the hotel. Housekeeping took the rubbish the following morning for us. After we had checked out we were able to store our rucksacks and holdel with them for as long as needed with no extra charge. Here’s where the chaos of my life starts, while out and about I had noticed I hadn’t put my Apple watch on, I checked through the find my app and it said it was at the hotel, panic over? Nope, we collect our stuff hours later and I look through the bags for my watch, no avail. I tracked it more and it seemed to be in the car park. I asked Peter if they had it handed in, he checked all around and it hadn’t. I showed him the find my function on my phone to see if it made any sense to him as to where it was. He advised it seems to be near the laundry bins. He allowed me to go with him to the laundry bins and together we started the unimaginable. He took one bin and I took the other, find my was saying it was with me so this was a positive, I kept playing the locate sound to help us, we both went digging through the dirty laundry from that morning (I was shocked he did as well, he was an absolute calming point of the experience!) After we each had searched through half of a bin each shaking out each item I heard the jingle but only faintly, that was it we were on a mission even more motivated and digging through even more dirty laundry. We got it! I had put it on the bed and then when packing I moved the duvet folding my watch into it. No harm was done and we both repacked the dirty laundry into the bins and went back inside and cleaned ourselves up. Once again I could t have had better staff for my stay! I’ll deffo be back again! My only complaint which I didn’t raise as there wasn’t anything they could do was that the bed was super creaky, as was the toilet door and the shower temperature was really hard to keep constant. Once again fab stay, warm, cosy, clean and a great experience on the whole. Most of the staff I had interacted with were absolute assets to the company!

Over all it was a good stay. Minor issues was the kettle and tv remote didn't work however those were resolved quickly upon contacting reception. Main issues were the mattress quality and breakfast on the Saturday. I could feel the bed frame support throught what i can only believe to be a thin mattress. We asked for gluten free breakfast items to be ready for a specific time as we had to be at ponds forge at stupidly early time, clearly this wasn't relayed to chef/ morning staff despite us seeing the man write it down, as when we got downstairs we had to wait. There wasn't even any eggs and we were downstairs at 6 40. If it wasn't something you could accommodate then we should have been told, "no you'll need to be downstairs before we do the gluten free options" but the man said that would be OK.
