Convenient hotel for our requirements. Hotel is a little tired and in need of an upgrade. Had some difficulty parking on this occasion as half of the carpark was cordoned off for the whole of our weekend.

Stayed in the Milton Keynes Novotel and I am just thankful that I was only staying for one night. The carpet and sofa had stains all over them, shower curtain was brown at the bottom and behind thee sofa (there was a gap between the sofa and wall) was covered in someone else's rubbish and it was evident that it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. It didn't provide much confidence that the room had been cleaned and sanitised properly. I also used the reception toilets and was absolutely disgusted to walk in to faeces on the floor and all spread across all three toilet cubicles. Overall, experience at this hotel was extremely poor and I would recommend that you avoid staying. At £100 a night, I definitely expected, at the very least, a clean room.

This visit was so different to the previous couple. Excellent staff interested in the guests and all very efficient. The only annoying thing is you can’t have a drink in the bar now as they’ve taken all the comfortable seats away and put dining tables and chairs right up to the bar.

The guy who checked us in had only been there the week, and he was senior to the bar staff who were new that day. Everything seemed too difficult as the team just weren’t organised. The order for the dinner that our group pre-booked 4 days previously didn’t make it, so we had to re-order. Half an hour after that we were told that there was no lasagna, so many people had to choose something else. Then, half an hour later still, we were told that there was only one Margarita pizza, so some people had to change their orders for a second time. The first food arrived after about an hour and a half which was soggy and cold garlic bread, there were no chips, so sweet potato fries were substituted (I quite like them, but most of the group did not). Our room, that we thought was just a bit fausty, turned out to have a leak and most of the floor was sodden. Luckily we were able to change rooms. All up, not a great experience, despite a team who were clearly trying hard. Thankfully the company was excellent and made the event more than bearable.

Toilets have not been cleaned, carpet is dirty, floors in all hotel are sticky, breakfast is not tasty and very poor. Staff is frindly but not efficient. It is clarly not at 4 starts level hotel. I did not tested the swimming pool as I did not trusted the hygene.

Not very clean (half-eaten biscuits in our draw upon arrival), and the place is generally a bit run down. We found out upon arrival (no prior indication) that the swimming pool was only available for 30mins per room per day. Breakfast was good, staff were very polite and helpful

We enjoyed a great overnight stay as a family of 4. Our executive room was clean and suitably appointed - we appreciated the little touches such as bath robes, toiletries and water. The buffet breakfast was basic but enough choice and ticked the 3-star rating. The swimming pool/sauna (the reason we booked) were both clean and booking system well organised. We managed to have an hour's slot because it was quiet. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. We cannot complain at all for the amount we paid, and would definitely stay again should the opportunity arise.

Our stay was very satisfactory and the staff were all kind and helpful. The swimming pool was a huge plus to fill in time. Breakfast was very good. The room was clean and all necessary cleaning , safety procedures taking place.

Only issue we had over our 3 day stay was having to have our room card reset at reception every time we left the room!!! Not a big deal but an inconvenience when you have 2 children (1 with special needs) and you are on the first floor.

My stay with you was very poor. I booked two rooms for a leisure visit. Compared to other Novotels I have stayed in this has fallen below the usual high standard. Firstly reception staff were unaware of the Accor rewards status and as I am a diamond member I had to explain my perks. Upon entering my room there was a coffee machine with no pods (hotel has run out). The tea and coffee had been rammed in a paper cup and left next to the kettle. The towels were old and threads everywhere and resembled sandpaper. The biggest issue is which I'm sure you have already received several complaints is the fact that you had four inexperienced bar/dinner staff on that have obviously not been trained and have been thrown in the deep end. This was highlighted due to the fact you have four draught beer pumps, two had already ran out. The two remaining lager pumps both ran out at 20:00. the bar area and dining area was pretty full by this time with big cues at the bar and people seated waiting for food and drinks. One person behind the bar said I know how to change the barrels, however after 45 minutes and lots of back and forth it was apparent no-one on duty had a clue had to operate the bar gas no beer for the rest of the night. In addition the bar staff did not know how to use the till fully as several times there were up-to three of them stood around it scratching their heads. At the same time this is happening the bar cue is getting longer and everyone more stressed. The same staff are trying to deal with food and alcohol orders leading to my table of eight waiting an hour for a drink and 1 hour 45 minutes for food, as did the adjacent table of two families. Overall every guest we spoke to in the restaurant and bar was fuming with the poor service. I don't blame the staff, in fact I feel sorry for these young employees who have been put in a very stressful position with little training. Can I give you some advice, stop being tight and pay for at least one highly experienced bar manager to run the bar and mentor the staff.

Stayed at the Novotel Milton Keynes over the August B/H weekend for MotoGP at Silverstone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good at breakfast and evening dinner. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Nice swim in the pool after a long day was also very welcome. Have stayed here several times and would stay here again

I went to stay in the Novotel to meet a friend. It is an annual meet up but was interrupted last year by the pandemic. As always the staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfasts were ok but I had mine in my room as I am seriously disabled, and although they were late each day due to lack of staff the food was good. I did notice this time that they were more short staffed than before but they did everything possible to make the stay as good as possible. Due to Covid at the moment they are not cleaning the rooms every day so you jjst need to remember to ask for extra tea, coffee and milk etc or extra towels. The only negative experience was with housekeeping right at the end of our stay as we were getting ready to leave who barged into the room of my friend while she was in the middle of a phone call and was very rude to her, telling her she had to leave NOW! The member of staff then proceeeded to start moving some of my friend’s personal belongings including a £6000 violin and dumped them on the bed…We tried to explain (we were in adjoining rooms) that we had been allowed an extra hour for checkout as I am disabled, and that my friend was about to go and get a trolley to help me with my things, but this lady was not interested and continued to be extremely rude, ignoring both of us. My friend then moved her stuff into my room and the lady then wanted to come into my room, but I flatly refused and again explained I was disabled and we were in the process of leaving but I am on a mobility scooter and cannot manage my luggage myself, and I shut the door on her. We complained to reception who were very apologetic and took off the cost of the breakfasts and a big bottle of water I had had. However, inspite of this incident I would highly recommend this hotel and staff as being of a really good over standard and as we have been there many times before we have never had a problem until now, always enjoying our stays there.

Diana who works at your front desk was very kind and helpful to us. She is patient with my active son and took time to listen to our questions and answered them patiently. The lady (from housekeeping) who helped turning the sofa into a sofa bed for us was very quick and efficient too although it was her time to get off work. She was kind and friendly to my son too.
