Staff were friendly, the management in the morning were much more 'on it' than in the afternoon / evening. I had a bed issue that was not resolved (springs were poking through the mattress in the sofa bed - a thin additional mattress was missing that was present on the other sofa bed and I made two requests to the reception but as far as I'm aware it wasn't followed up - I found a work around but none the less it was disappointing as a comfortable bed is obviously a fundamental thing for a hotel... Unfortunately the one evening meal we ate in the hotel was very very slow (1h30 for 2 courses) with items missed from the order and spicy food served to a child despite a request to the contrary (it was a sauce that could easily have been omitted but the waitress clearly didn't pass on the request to the chef) - nothing like the honesty of a young child - my 5 year old did politely ask why it took so long - she received an apology but no explanation. We ate elsewhere on our second night despite it being less convenient for ourselves. However, in the morning much to our relief the gent managing breakfast and the women assisting (especially the lady on morning of 15/10) were fantastic - friendly and really helpful despite the current restrictions - an excellent personal service. (Breakfast food item quality could have been a little higher, personally I'd prefer less quantity but better quality, although I appreciate you might be constrained by company policy and current restrictions.)

Pool full of kids on swimming lessons

Good two nights stay, room spotless and staff courteous and professional, unfortunately some guests not following guidelines to wear masks within the hotel public areas

This was the first time that I have stayed in a Novotel. The staff were lovely and the pool and beds were great. The breakfast was unfortunately very disappointing. It was very greasy and no one could eat it. When we asked for orange juice we were asked to pay £13 for 6 bottles of orange juice. It was a dissapointing end to what was otherwise a really enjoyable stay.

A little disappointing. Obviously everything is very different now. The signage and one way system was good to see. No food was available so I had to o out each evening - not too much a problem. I am allergic to milk so the breakfast offered was not suitable so I didn't take breakfast. I asked about a welcome drink which I normally get as a gold card member but was informed that I had a room upgrade - that too I normally get. I did get a couple of packs of Skittles though.

Having stayed here several times, were surprised to find it the hotel and car park so empty. In these Covid times, signing clear, rooms clean and arrangements to prevent cross contamination well in place. Staff could not be more helpful and although we didn't use the pool were pleased to see that it is open subject to limited numbers and booking. Miss proper cups/mugs for drinks in room and restaurant.

I felt let down as I was not informed of breakfast menu restriction when booking, could not eat the poor breakfast as not a good standard or options, if I had known I would have booked room only so feel out of pocket. Also no hot drinks in room, had a kettle and paper cups but no tea bags or coffee

Firstly our check-in was wrongly booked, 2 rooms we booked where far from each other under a different name, after requesting on the phone to have them next to each other and the receptionist I first spoke to was not welcoming at all. That already threw me off. First impression always counts. Rooms were also not ready at 3:30pm when we arrived yet check in was meant to be 2pm. We had to still wait till about 4pm to go to our room. Though we had been offered an upgrade on 1 of the rooms by the other receptionist who took over and apologised to us for lateness and wrong booking. She was a lot pleasant and helpful.
