Neither the website nor the app disclosed the disruptive construction at the hotel or I would have booked elsewhere. No pre-arrival communication to that effect either. Front desk did not disclose it upon check-in - I overheard another guest complaining and asked about a quiet room, was told my room would be fine. It was not. Was moved to a room 3 floors down which was marginally better. Ended up checking out the next day. Room itself was nice enough but for a supposedly deluxe room, lacked basics such as shower cap, wash cloth, tissues. One of the big toiletry bottles was totally empty. AC didn’t work - couldn’t cool down the room, which made the winter weight duvet too warm to sleep under and made for a poor sleep experience. No extra sheets/blankets in room either, which would have made a lot more sense to sleep under.

I really travel a lot, but experience in your hotel was truly the worst ever in my life. Nothing works good. No hot water in the room, I booked privilege room and I don’t get any amenities in my room. I’ve got classic one. I have to go to reception desk to manage this situation, they bring me my amenities and they told me that your client service will write to me. Till today I don’t have any respond from them. Second day again I don’t get any drink in my room, nice gentleman in the reception desk told me that his supervisor told him that I was upgraded from ibis to mercure - which is not true. I made a direct booking via your app to privilege room and all I get was extremely bad experience. I was in a standard room paying for privilege one. I have no clue how is possible that no one during my stay can’t handle this situation. On the other hand at the breakfast buffet I found cutted cucumber with a lot of mold.

I know that works have to be undertaken on the building to ensure maintained however feel that on booking a room (not on arrival) you should forewarn people of the expected noise levels and times Having come of shift work and aiming to spend a short stay with evening plans booked it was essential we had use of the room from check in to enable sleep with the noise levels this was not remotely possible
