Nice hotel in a good location in the city centre, we mainly walked or took the bus and were there for 2 nights. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Surprisingly, there was no fridge in the room! Bathroom was very small and a bit wonky! There were a few maintenance issues which we reported at check-out. Despite being on the fifth floor, we could hear noise from the street on the Saturday night but there's nothing that can be done about that. We didn't have breakfast but it looked like there was a wide selection of items to choose from so probably good value for money.

The rooms and hallways feel very run down. Room's walls were battered, paint worn, bathroom dirty, sink slow at empying. only had bath towels, no hand towels or flannels. TV remote was broken due to batteried having exploded in them. Not the best IBIS for £140 a night!

While we are genuinely sorry to learn of the issues you have now raised, we were surprised that, given the severity of the concerns described, these were not brought to our attention during your 3 nights stay. Had our Team been made aware at the time, we would have certainly done our utmost to assist you and offer suitable solutions to make your experience much more comfortable. Nonetheless, you can be assured that your comments have been shared with our Head Housekeeper and Maintenance Engineer who will look into the damaged bedroom & corridor walls, the blocked sink, the faulty TV remote and the unclean bathroom. All the appropriate corrective actions and repairs will be carried out to address these matters and help prevent re-occurrences. I would like to clarify that, in line with Ibis hotels standards, we do not provide hand towels but only 2 bath towels and 1 bath mat in each room. However, if needed, additional towels can be requested at any time from Reception and would have been provided if we had known your requirements. Thanks again for sharing your feedback which is always invaluable in our continuous efforts to improve the quality of our facilities. We sincerely hope that you'll still give us the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for a more pleasant time we would have wished for you on this occasion. Sadly way too noisy doe to the nightclub right by. Not the staffs fault just poor location for a hotel and music till middle of the night.

A lovely stay at the ibis Manchester Princess Street - the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The ground floor room was lovely - and relatively clean and tidy. Only feedback - minimal storage/shelving around the bathroom sink makes it hard to place your toiletries within easy access - and other guests had left rubbish outside the rooms in the corridor that took a fair while to be cleaned up/removed by staff.

Bait and switch on room type. Don’t try to say a Superior is a smaller room and the TV doesn’t work when challenged about the room type I bought and paid for, and then expect an apology from the guest for calling your staff out on, only to go ahead anyway and check me into a normal room where the TV also didn’t work till maintenance appeared. I’ve travelled the world and never been so mortified that you wanted me to apologise for calling it out, in front of one of my friends. Your carpets need a deep clean and your staff need to be honest, that’s clearly too much to ask. If they’re following management orders then you need to check your own attitude before checking mine.

Overall the stay was fine, the location is great, staff were very friendly and helpful but absolutely the building needs an update overall. The rooms are dated, some bits have been updated but a full revamp would be better. The rooms are mostly clean but are let down by rusty and old fixtures, notably the bathroom was full or rusts and worn in stains, I stayed with friends in other multiple rooms and they also said the same . The air conditioning unit was so old it leaked through to the floor and was so aged and bulky it caught on the door making it a nightmare to get the door open and closed. The room cleaning was also very inconsistent. I was a longer stay and The day I needed my room cleaned, it wasn’t cleaned at all. I did however get towels when I needed new ones. That being said, if you needed somewhere for say just a night then you’d be fine. We mainly close for the convenient location which served us well. Certainly not the place If you’re looking to spend lots of money and time on the place you are staying
