Friendly welcome. Room typical Ibis and seemed clean, but not very well sound insulated so a disturbed by other guests during the night. Breakfast reasonable. Parking nearby but expensive - disappointing the hotel can't offer a discount rate.

Great Staff

Loud enough to wake the Dead!!

Simon C TripAdvisor review

On arrival I was told by the lady in the Foyer to wait after I'd explained I'd like to 'Check in please'. I waited, and waited, and waited until finally she said, "Yes how can I help you?" I was given a card and went to the lift that took me up to my room which was on the 5th floor. The room looked nice on 1st inspection - Compact and bijou you could say, and I had no problems with the room itself. The real problem was the noise. After booking the room with the intention of getting some sleep, I could see this was never gonna happen, as I was greeted with the sound of a Pneumatic drill working just below the hotel window! It looks like they're working on a building site at the back of the hotel. So that, combined with the regular trains passing the hotel window on a frequent basis was enough to wake the dead!! I wouldn't recommend going back to room 501, unless you enjoy sleep deprivation, or the sound of Pneumatic drills constantly drilling through concrete. With this in mind I am giving this room one star only. Ask for some ear plugs and maybe a Hard hat and some safety clothing down in the Foyer, before going up to the room. That's if you're willing to risk it? 👷‍♂️🦺🚧😯 By the way I have a video of the experience if anyone would like me send it to them? It's a copy as the original is still at my Solicitor's.

Dear Sipcarr77, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for the significant noise issues you experienced during your stay—both from the construction work and the train noise. It is certainly not the level of comfort we aim to provide, and we're very sorry that these disturbances affected your sleep and overall experience. We also regret that your check-in process was delayed and did not meet your expectations. Please know that we take your comments very seriously and have shared them with our management and maintenance teams to address these issues promptly. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve our services, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with a more peaceful and enjoyable stay. Best regards, Emilio Aguera Assistant General Manager
