Very dated and worn everywhere in the room and bathroom/toilet. Drains smell awful. Grubby net curtains and carpets, windows that don't open enough for cool or fresh air. Didn't eat here £18 for breakfast!?

While the hotel and staff are lovely, the rooms really let the hotel down. We booked a room for 2 adults, 2 children. The sofa bed for the 2 children was so small and uncomfortable we ended up having to have 3 people in the one bed. We stayed in August. Was already aware the hotel did not have air con. There was a fan provided but the room was still extremely warm. A very uncomfortable night sleep. The meal options for the evening were very limited and we wish we had gone and eaten in the nearby TGI Fridays. Although the hotel is in a great location if you are going on a cruise we would not chose this hotel again.

Whimsy the bar and restaurant staff were absolutely amazing- I was disappointed with reception that after staying with them for a week that when we returned 1 week later we could not store our bags for a couple of hours.

Superb location for the night before our cruise, staff all super friendly, room was ready on our arrival despite being early which a little bonus. Hotel was nice and clean. Close to a couple food outlets and shopping outlets.

Apart from a mix up on room booking, the hotel was, as usual, fine (though the lack of air-conditioning surely needs to be addressed). But the behaviour of some other guests spoiled things. On one evening an extended family group arrived on the "executive" floor just before midnight which heralded shouting, screaming children, endless door slamming as they went in and out of each others' rooms etc. Add to this the endless array of shouting, screaming children in the lobby and bar on several occasions (don't parents feel any sense of responsibility to other guests?) and you get the picture.

Overall in line with previous stays and look forward to our next visit. A bit disappointed that some large vehicle users were taking up more than one parking bay, which limited the number of bays available. This could do with improved management. Since number plates are registered, then the individual culprits could be efficiently requested to adjust their parking
