Another happy stay where everything was just perfect in every department. It was so nice to see so many familiar members of staff. Really nice to see the restaurant open again for breakfast.

I was grateful for the early check in. The room was functional but soulless. Not sure how clean the sofa was as I ended up covered in dog hairs and I don’t have a dog! Walls are very thin and so noise was an issue, particularly in the corridors at night. Would have preferred to know about the £10 (!) parking charge beforehand as this would have affected my decision.

Would have been a 9 out of 10 except for 2 idiots arguing all night keeping us awake - but where was security?

The hotel was nice The breakfast was great However, and we know its not really the hotels fault but we were kept awake all night by 2 people somewhere above us arguing and banging things around. Where was the hotel's security?

Having stayed at other Novotel and Ibis properties in other countries was actually shocked at the service I received at Novotel Southampton.The Experience Manager who I had a meeting with to share my disappointment with,should be sent on a training on dealing with customer response !

I was staying here for work. The hotel is located in a quiet area in the city centre. Very short walking distance to the ports and to shops, bars and restaurants. Southampton central train station and the national express coach departure point are both very close. My room was comfortable and spacious. I enjoyed some drinks in the lobby bar which was a nice place to relax. Staff were really helpful and they have good measures in place around the hotel to keep everything clean and safe. Look forward to staying again in the future.

Our bathroom sink was blocked and was full of dirty water throughout our stay. I also had a delivery of food which I never recieved as no one from reception would bring it up. U understand but I had a child asleep in the room so didn't want to leave and thought the hotel would allow my delivery driver to come up or at least bring my food up. I paid for this and didn't get a refund

All face to face communication was professional and friendly with all staff. Good layout and sanitiser placement in arrival lobby. Felt very reassured. Room was clean with a great view. Found the £10 guest parking a little steep. Could this be an option to add to the reservation and points used towards parking payment too? That said I will definitely be staying here again.

The water was lukewarm so the shower was pretty cold. Fire alarms went off in the morning, only to find out I was the one who had set them off - by using a hairdryer?! The heat sensors are obviously too sensitive!

Great amazing staff i used to be part of the accor family for around 7 years befor I had my children and with this hotel so I know the area and some of my wonderful work colleagues are still there so I was delighted to see them,only mishap was a confusion with pool times BUT was given a free drink and last time slot so that more then made up for this. Abit hard for me to be judgemental as I hold novotel close to my heart but my partner said he loved his stay and he is picky.I do think the rooms are ready for upgrade as they have not changed for 13 years since I was last there BUT again amazingly cleaning tidy "big up to the cleaners " David owens is still keeping the girls in check well done and to my lovely Marie Reading you all are the best all my love your old colleague joanna w. used to be Cornwall xxxxx
