Hotel needs updating. Toilet door coming off its hinges. Told receptionist who came up with a screwdriver and did a temporary fix. She arranged for maintenance to come the next day at 10am. Not sure if they came as it was as bad the next day. Some of the electrical sockets not working. The room looks very tired. Room 214

Overnight hotel stay on 11th Sept, prior to boarding a cruise. Stayed at Novotel many times, the last twice was May 30th & August 2nd 2026. Cost cutting seems to have lowered the standard of service provided. For example, 2 people booked in an Exec room but only 1 bathrobe & slippers provided. 2 people booked in but only 1 set of towels provided. Only 2 tea bags provided. Yes, I can go down to reception and ask for more to be delivered up to the room but basic common sense means that looking at the booking dictates the requirements to be available in the room.
