Always a good place to stay when going to Southampton. Well situated for theatre shops and the docks. Left my car there whilst on a mini cruise and felt it was safe. Service was very friendly and the hotel felt Covid secure.

Hotel bedroom was a bad layout. Toilet was in one part of the room and washhand basin and bath in another part of the room. After using the toilet you had to walk through 3 doors to wash your hands. Bed very hard did not sleep well. Breakfast not up to much . Would not stay here again

With 2 kids very young children you decided to put us in a room that was closest to the wedding that was happening. Therefore music blasting till very late and the room vibrating with the sounds. Also absolutely no air con or ventilation at all!!

Called hotel prior to booking to ask if the swimming pool was in use I was told yes and therefore we booked here as we had young children and this would be lovely for them. Paid extra for this luxury. When we arrived the reception was full. I asked if could use the pool, it was open 6am-10pm, they told me I need to join the que of people!! I was informed that the Swimming pool had restricted numbers (understandably due to Covid restrictions etc) however no booking system, time slots or time limits were in place therefore multiple guest were sat in waiting area for long periods of times. The hotel stated it could be up to an hour and half wait and we had to be present and couldn’t come back or we would lose our place in the que. Having a 3year old and 6month old baby it wasn’t an option to sit and wait in reception. Reception staff said it had been an issue for a while yet no system had been thought of. management were out the back but refused to discuss it with us even though multiple guests asked to speak to her, the lady on reception was over her head in complaints and got no support from her manager. She then started asking us (guests) what we would do in her shoes and what do we suggest. Not really professional to ask guests the solutions to a long term problem. The next morning after breakfast the same situation had arisen again and multiple guests were queuing, sat in swimwear and towels in the main reception of the hotel, complaining. We reluctantly joined the que with our children who had been promised a swim in the hotel. We waiting 1hour 5mins and then felt very under pressure to be considerate of other waiting and not to take too long in the pool. Prior to my booking or during my call none of this had been communicated to me and I rang directly to the hotel to book especially to ask about the pool. Overall the whole system had failed and it was embarrassing to sit and hear so many people complaining. Management refused to come out leaving the receptionist running in and out the back relaying unhelpful messages from her manager. She was eye rolling and it was clear there was no staff support, no customer communication and no customer service. It was a great shame and let down on belhalf of your hotels.

We booked to stay for a visit to the boat show. On arrival we were advised there was a large party going on until 11pm, which would be audible from upstairs. As we were travelling with young children, we were moved from our first floor to a second floor room. However, the amplified music could still be heard clearly and so no sleep was had before 11pm. The room was unbearably hot and no air conditioning available. We were advised that all phone lines were not working so we had been given a mobile number to contact on WhatsApp to reach reception ! I tried this number several times and left a voicemail message about the heat in the room but received no response. On raising it at check out, I was simply met with a shrug of shoulders. Good points - nice buffet breakfast and we managed a dip in the small pool before leaving. However, the poor customer service, noise, heat and lack of responsiveness for the significant price paid means we are not able to recommend.

Difficult trying to find the hotel as all of the roads in Southampton were cut off due to a race around the city. Only one person on check in which lead to a que behind me suddenly getting bigger

This was an overnight before a cruise. Have stayed here a few times before as it is in a great location with a car park (half price if staying). Our first hotel stay for a year and pleased to say the buffet breakfast was back. We didn't use the pool this time as numbers were limited but it was available. However the air con was not in operation in the rooms resulting in a very stuffy night as the windows can obly be opened a small amount.

we booked two rooms last weekend. we paid top price and was promised that the condition of the hotel its great. it was completely opposite! carpets are very old , ceiling render above the bed was cracked badly and bits of plaster coming down, the bath was very dirty . on the corridor there was bottles and glasses of alcohol left for hours. the swimming pool its very poorly tiled with very sharp edging and you easily get cut. on my cheek out I wasn't asked how my stay was just just took the keys and said all done!

We only stayed one night prior to getting the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Was perfect location for this and we had a lovely night stay. Good in the bar was great and they staff were very accommodating especially to our little dog who also enjoyed the hotel with us!

Stayed for one night following the P&O Pensioners lunch. A good clean room with coffee and tea available. Breakfast the following morning was excellent with a good choice of items.

The reception team were extremely slow on checking us in. The 2 rooms had been specifically requested to have sofa beds made up. ( I called the Morning of our arrival to check this was noted on our reservation. It was. Told we could check in from 2.00pm. Got there . Our rooms were not ready at this time - so we waited fir 35 minutes in reception. Arrived in our rooms and no sofa beds made up. We were late for our restaurant reservation due to the hold ups. We also checked at the time of booking if connecting rooms were possible - I was advised yes. This request was not met either. The rooms and the location could have been a very good but the overall experience was very bad.

Hotel very well located, had everything we needed. Nice little pool. Clean and tidy rooms. Particularly want to mention the lovely guy on the front desk who checked us in early so that we could get changed in our room and be at our family party on time ! Thank you!

We booked for one night and ended up staying for two, the bar menu is limited and not too much choice but their are two restaurants walking distance and even more about 15 minutes away in West Quay, shopping is within walking distance, please note they charge £10 for car parking which is not made clear when booking. Swimming Pool was fab for kids and the breakfast was good.

Booked this room couldn’t get my pram in the room really hot out us on the same floor as young men that was a parting keeping us up slamming doors shouting banging rang down to reception to be told there’s nothing they could do totally disappointed
