Convenient to Paddington & Hyde Park. Staff were friendly and attentive, especially the ones who provided the breakfast. Comfortable room but a little tight for a couple.

The lobby and breakfast areas are really nice, and the location is convenient. That's all. The rooms are extremely small, the carpets smell, the shower was not clean, and you can hear absolutely everything going on in the rooms next door and in the hallway. I could hear the person taking a shower in the room across from mine.

The Mercure Hotel in Tavistock Square was perfect for our two night stay, with easy access on foot to our concert at the Royal Albert Hall, via Hyde Park. The Mercure staff were all very friendly, courteous and helpful. We were given an upgrade on arrival, which we hadn't asked for, which was a lovely gesture. Our bed was very comfortable and the breakfast selection was varied and tasted good. We really enjoyed our stay and could not fault this hotel. It is in a quiet, pleasant Square, but close to eateries as well. We would definitely recommend it. Good job, Mercure!
