Room and fiod is good but spacing for pray espicially muslims visitor need to consider due too small room. At overall 4 star

Feel like home

The hotel was clean. Not a lengthy wait to check in. The room was also clean and cosy. The restaurant however left a lot to be desired especially the service. One the very first night of my stay, I walked into the restaurant with the intention of only getting a drink and the waiter, without greeting me, glared at me and in a very rude tone said, “We are closed”. I explained that I wasn’t there for food and I was told by the receptionist that I could get served a drink. Very begrudgingly he served me. I am not sure if it’s because he’s on his own (but the restaurant was never busy) or perhaps it’s just his personality, but throughout my 2 day stay I found him to be very abrupt, not warm at all and should not be in a customer facing role. On the second night I went to the restaurant for dinner and again, without greeting me he handed me the menu at the counter and continued busying himself with tidying up. Needless to say I had no desire to be served by him and declined the menu and left to find a restaurant outside where the customer service was better. Saying that, the young Portuguese lady (I’ve forgotten her name hence reference to her nationality) on reception on my check out day was absolutely lovely. I would’ve rated this hotel stay a lot higher if the staff were as warm and friendly as she was.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and had a comfortable stay. I think the rooms need to be better described as the room I booked was very small. The staff were friendly but not particularly knowledgable about the local area. I would be reluctant to stay again unless the gentleman in the restaurant has an attitude change - he is the epitome of rudeness.

Great location, very clean, and welcoming helpful staff. Room on the top floor was quiet and made for a pleasant stay.

Great location, very close to Paddington station. Close to small supermarkets. Food from the hotel was so delicious and well prepared. Staff were incredibly friendly, especially Nonu

I expected to get a nice, spacious room, but I got a small room which felt like I paid for a standard room instead of the privilege room - I also didn't get any amenities which I was told I would get when booking for the room

Nice hotel, with great and welcoming staff.

I was moved to this hotel from my original hotel. The service was substandard and far inferior to an Ibis which I would not expect from a premium brand. My gold membership counted for nothing, my pre check in was not completed, my guest preferences not acknowledged, room not cleaned properly (used coffee sticks upside down in the box so not only could I not make a coffee but they had not been checked - very concerning in the current climate), welcome drink not available (no red wine in the whole hotel) and check out statement not sent! Couldn’t have got much more wrong really.

The room was so hot that we couldn’t sleep until 2am. The air con didn’t cool the room down and sounded like an alarm. The room was small and the view was of a wall unlike the pictures advertising the hotel. I’m not sure if we were given a bad room because we booked through a different site but I wouldn’t book here again. I thought it was going to be a nice fancy hotel for our anniversary but it was disappointing.

I just needed a few hours to get rested and got a great stay at Mercure London Hyde Park. Five minutes away from Paddington station is very well located. Bed was very comfy. I think it was just missing more pillows. A part from that, the room was very clean. And for the hours I stayed there, the room was good enough for my needs.

Pleasant welcome on arrival a very comfortable room, excellent facilities and excellent bathroom the towels were a good size hotel is of a very high standard.
