The hotel is fantastic. I have to mention that Witek at the front deck made my visit very special. He was so helpful and really went above and beyond. I would visit again just because of him. Thank you! The gym is great as well. I come to this hotel every time I am in London.

A great location 6 minutes walk from Paddington station and with great restaurant options minutes away. My room on the 1st floor was relatively spacious by London standards, with very comfortable bed and really quiet, even though it faced the front and Talbot Park. Staff were efficient and friendly. Complimentary water, juice and sodas in the room fridge were appreciated and toped up daily. Great shower. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on dining options. I have stayed in a few other hotels in the Sussex Gardens area but would definitely return to the Mercure in the future if available.

Being near Paddington Station is great for people coming in after a long flight, but it is also just far enough away to be quiet. It's also close to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace for morning or evening walks. There is a fitness room with good equipment so I could do my physio exercises every day - and the bed was great and didn't exacerbate my bad neck.
