We had reserved a twin room for 3 nights and two further double rooms for 2 nights and this six months in advance. When booking we specifically asked for quiet rooms on the upper floors. For the first night we were given a room on the ground floor next to the lobby with a window onto an unsightly courtyard or shaft. But we tacitly accepted this. From 10pm onwards the guests above us made so much noise that we couldn't sleep and we complained to the night watchman. Since there was still no peace at midnight, we asked for another room. According to the night watchman, the hotel was 100% fully booked and because we checked in at 5pm, we were given this last room. With a booking 6 months in advance, this answer is simply untenable. Finally, we were given a room at the Hotel Indigo at 0:30am and moved in for this first night. The bed was extremely narrow but at least there was peace. For the next two nights we were given quiet rooms on the top floor. Why not directly like that? We travel a lot and always like to use hotels of the Accor Group, but we haven't had such a negative experience for a long time.

Well located but a bit disappointing

I feel like price to value for the rooms was not up to par. Our first stay our room was better. Then when we came back from a weekend trip the second room the concierge told us we got an upgrade, but it was much smaller and had a view of the side of a building with pipes. Less space, so it was deceptive because we payed the same or more. We aren't sure to stay at Mercure again because of this experience.

Been trying to reach the hotel since checking out, my laptop was left in the room and not reported. I have been trying to reach out the hotel for days now. No response.

The initial email you sent was directed to an automated system, which is standard procedure immediately following checkout. Today, we received your email through the correct department, and we understand your concerns regarding your laptop. We maintain a strict policy of responsibility towards our guests’ belongings.
