The stay was fine....however, we paid for early check in which did not occur. We we asked to return at 10:30, which we did but the room still was not ready. We arrived from QM2 at 9 am for early check-in and would have stayed on the ship had we been informed that housekeeping did not arrive until 10 am. Communication would have been most helpful.

Bathroom in need of immediate renovation!!

The actual room was fine but the bathroom was a disgrace! The bathroom door did not close, the water pressure in the toilet system was very low and the cistern took several minutes to refill. The state of the basin was appalling, it was stained brown in the bottom and very badly chipped all over. We had already taken clothes out of suitcases before noticing these problems otherwise would not have stayed in the room. Upon telling reception staff we were told that they would report it to housekeeping! It was the poorest bathroom I have ever had to use.

Close to Cruise terminal and clean functional hotel - good value

Great location, 5 min walk to centre of Southampton plenty of parking, nice room, comfy bed, all staff were great especially the bar staff, food was good so would recommend this hotel. The only problem the lounge & bar area to near the hotel entrance so quite cold as there is no barrier or double inner door.

Good stay except... why cant' hotel windows be opened in the UK???? Everywhere else in Europe, they can be opened. But not in the UK. Is that because you all fall out of them or because of some strange legal reason? Either way, it is weird that the windows are not allowed to open.

Where did my room reservation go?

Being a regular guest, all was as I expected it to be, once I had sorted out my room. I now find that I need a room with a shower, as, having replacement joints and arthritis in other parts of my body and having reached the age of 70, stepping over a bath side to access bathing, is a little bit precarious for me. With that in mind, during my stay in August, I arrange with reception for me to be allocated room 101, one of your two rooms with walk in showers for this stay. The booking for this stay was ammended before me there and then. On arrival last Tuesday, I was therefore surprised and concerned to be allocated room 220, which I immediately queried. Someone had clearly altered your room allocation system and there was no trace of my allocation of room 101 for this stay. That reservation had vanished. Someone was already in room 101. However fortunately room 102 was vacant, being your other room with a walk in shower. I was therefore given that room for my stay. I must point out that had that room not been vacant then we would have had a problem. The question is who changed my reservation on your system? One young lady on your staff at reception did tell me that rooms 101/2 were for people with disabilities, and inferred I didn't appear so. She didn't seem aware that all disabilities are not visible and I found I had to explain this. Once that matter was resolved everything else was as expected during my stay.

I had bed breakfast and dinner with a glass of wine, 8 days parking for less than the cost of parking at the Cruise port. Asked for room at the front but didn't get one, as it was just for one night I didn't pursue it.

Ibis Southampton centre is a good choice for low budget accommodation close to the city centre. The check in is quick and easy especially using the online app. The rooms are clean and functional although starting to show their age. There is a bar and food available. Breakfast is a good hot buffet. The £10 per night overnight parking is expensive and can be avoided by nearby multi storey parking

Rooms clean and tidy ideal for our needs. The welcome pack tea, coffee ect was welcome. this was an improvement on our last visit. Breakfast could be improved, one day hash browns the next none. scrambled eggs no fried. No cereal choice. We took advantage the evening menu on both of our days which we enjoyed the food that we ordered. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Very good overall but not as nice as my stay the month before. I had just become a member the last time I stayed and was pleasantly surprised to find some nice goodies in my room (bottles of water biscuits and chocolate). this trip was on a Sunday night and the restaurant was closed and there was extras in the room at all , not even a bottle of water.
