The hotel is showing signs of age and not being kept up to the usual Ibis standard. Whilst the staff are amazing as always the building itself needs more care. Burn marks near the window, rattling heating system, fixtures failing off walls and poor soundproofing really did let the hotel down despite its perfect location.

The room was very nice and the staff friendly. There was an odd smell in the first floor corridor but luckily we couldn’t smell it in the room. Also there was no selection of cocktails at the bar. When we asked we were told we could use the hotel next door. If we’d had wanted to do that we would have booked at that hotel! Other than that it was a very pleasant stay.

We have been staying here for many years and it is looking very tired. We suspected this time that as well as the ibis budget, the main hotels was being used for unfortunately and illegals. Our views were confirmed by police frequently visiting both hotels. It made us very uneasy especially sharing a lift with them.
