I stay here regularly for work and have been disappointed in my last few visits. The customer service, especially at the check in desk was still inefficient and not very welcoming. They couldn't find my booking and when they did they tried to charge me more for the room than had been quoted with the booking. The food was at least better with a wider menu on offer that there has been for a while and my meal was absolutely fine. This would be a great place to stay if only the check-in staff were a bit more welcoming and efficient.

the room (430) was very noisy all night from something outsdside, like a humming sound. We have stayed in this hotel many times and not had this issue before. Will make sure were not at that end of the hotel next time.

Well located but not such a good stay this time. The staff were very welcoming though.

We have stayed at the hotel before and have been very happy with comfy bed and adequate tea/coffee and cleanliness. This stay was not good because the mattress on the bed was so hard we hardly slept and, because my health condition causes severe pain and the bed just made this worse. Also we needed another pillow each but could not find a number for reception in the room.

I will usually stay at Novotel Derby when visiting family. It's perfectly located a few minutes from where I want to be and has all the amenities I require. Just come and go as you please with a hello and a smile from the staff.

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting family. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had heard bad things about breakfast but we couldn’t fault it. Both hot and cold food was available and kept being replenished the whole time. We enjoyed the bar one evening and it had a good selection of drinks. The room was clean and just what we needed. We could have done with more pillows but it wasn’t the end of the world. I would say it’s a little dated in communal areas and if you look closely could do with a good clean but that didn’t affect our stay just an observation.

On the Tuesday morning while showering I slipped in bath and had bad fall. I have since been in hospital with 6 x broken ribs. May I suggest a mat or rough surface on base bath as it was very slippy I did hose down tiles,shower door and bath prior to fall. I just would not like this to happen to someone else.

Room was nice and well equipped. We were disappointed that although we know check in is 3pm we couldn’t access our room at 2:45, this would normally not be an issue but a large coach party arrived at 3pm. It must have been known that was expected. Some rooms must have been ready before 3:pm.

Just a weekend stay but the staff were very attentive and helpful. However, the check-in process was very slow. Although only three people were waiting, each process took longer than I am used to.

I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others. The accommodation and food was excellent. One issue being I wasn't asked to register my car on arrival. I left site on at least 2 occasions so am waiting to hear whether or not I will be issued with penalty notice.

Survey of my members showed positive results. The only down side from their perspective was that the hotel was too isolated. My personal experience was very positive. I must make one comment, the admin staff were disconnected from the front desk. I kept the hotel informed of our requirements but still had problems on arrival e.g. the front desk said my reservation had been cancelled on 10th March 2022. As I was the organiser I can only assume the booking was first deleted when I informed the hotel that my wife was going to join me and then not reinstated as a booking for two.

I had very rude reception for arriving early for check in, Room was very smelly think because chemicals used for cleaning and did,'t had AC working in the room.and they also charged for tooth brush. I hadn't realise Novotel runs hotels in franchise model soc an't expect same customer service and hygienic across the hotels

We have passed on your comments about the AC to the engineer for repair, We do have have spare heaters available for those guests who want a room extra toasty, we would of happily provided you with of of these to make your stay more comfortable. All good as far as we are concerned. Room was up to standard. We didn't need breakfast and the bar was all we needed in the evening and the service was The parking is always good here, though the tarmac does need filling in a number of places.
