I requested two rooms with shower only no bath. One had a bath with a shower over it! Also there was a disabled parking sign but it had the electric charging points in it. When I asked at reception about disabled parking the reply was they didn’t no if there was any parking for disabled people! Not very good at all.

The room was very clean and well decorated with a nice clean modern bathroom. However, the bed is very soft and uncomfortable with lumpy pillows. The room was very hot and the air conditioning broken. They don't have soft close doors, therefore there were doors slamming all night. Walls very thin, therefore you can hear people talking all through the night. When we went for breakfast the next morning and asked about the Gluten Free options, we were told (by a very grumpy front of house) there weren't any really, maybe some bread. They then asked a waitress who shrugged her shoulders and said there was bread and cornflakes. We asked about the cooked and they said it wasn't gluten free. We said not even the baked beans and scrambled eggs??? They didn't know and were very unhelpful. Very little awareness. The waitress gave me three pieces of bread and told me to toast them, pointing to the toaster everyone else uses. When I told her I needed them toasting in a separate toaster, she said this wasn't possible. So, I had bread not toast. I went to have a look at the cooked section and asked the chef about the sausages, hash browns and bacon and he was much more helpful. He went to check the ingredients for me for the sausages and hash browns, but again not already aware of allergens. I have never had such poor service or experienced such poor knowledge of allergens in any hotel, cafe or restaurant. We have an electric car, which we would have liked to have charged for a short while, however there is only one charger and a car parked in the space all night and it wasn't even plugged in to charge.

Please accept our sincere apologies because your recent stay experience with us way below our usual standards due to several reasons. We will organize a training for our F&B department to ensure they have better knowledge and understanding of existing food allergens and in particular gluten free items. Sincerely,
