The staff at the Novotel are very welcoming and friendly, the rooms are of a fantastic standard and very clean. I know it is difficult times and there are restrictions in place, but the standard of the food, especially on the first night of a 2 night stay was well below the standard of what I would expect from the hotel, the lamb rogan josh was like a ready meal which was cold when it arrived at my room, and the bread and butter pudding was shard lump and inedible. I really don’t understand why plates cannot be used instead of polystyrene boxes, gave the whole eating experience a very prison like feel (Not that I have been in prison)

Clean & Tidy. air conditioning was a noisy but windows could be opened to provide ventilation. Microwave being provided was a nice touch as it provided additional options compared to the lock down.

Made the most of difficult times

One night business stop over. It’s not easy staying in hotels at the moment and to be honest not that enjoyable. The hotel staff were largely professional and friendly though making it easier. Check in could have been better as the man on the desk started to check me in but then proceeded to answer a phone call leaving me to wait whilst he dealt with the call. I was then handed over to another member of staff to complete check in. Evening meal was on outside tables. A lovely bright day turned into a freezing evening! It was an odd experience but as I was with colleagues we made the most of it. The waitress was lovely and although she was busy taking food to sensible guests who stayed in their warm rooms we were served reasonably quickly. Patio heaters would have been good but we just got on with it. It will be funny looking back at experiences in this odd time in history.

Not the hotels fault but i stay in many hotels and at the moment i dont enjoy any of them .used to like having evening meal and socialise with friends, but not able to do thus at the moment

My first week the breakfasts weren’t up too much, the 2nd week there was rolls and sausage or bacon which made the choice a lot better.

I’ve been running electrical safety courses at this hotel for more than 20 years; the facilities are great and I’m always made to feel very welcome. The hotel has been especially helpful during lockdown where other venues have been closed.

From the minute you arrive the staff could not be more helpful and create a great relaxed atmosphere even during these difficult times. In general I was personally happy with my stay at your hotel and appreciate the difficulty over this period of a nation wide lockdown. On the other hand the room I booked for my daughter for one night although clean and comfortable she had no towels left in her room for her use. I was not informed until the morning after she had booked out. I said if she had phoned reception I am sure towels would have been supplied. This was my only complaint and would have marked my stay higher apart from the towels

Very friendly staff at check in who are always willing to assist with any requests that you may have. I usually request one of two specific rooms and the person assisting has always been able to accommodate this. There are plenty of sanitising stations located throughout the hotel and the lobby area and rooms are well presented and clean.

Location was ideal for my stay. The view from my room was facing a open green woodland, not my favorite. Room was clean and tidy. Staff was great. Access to a microwave was ideal to reheat meals. A fridge in the room was an added benefit.

Rooms in the hotel are attractive, clean and comfortable. In room dining menu is limited (due to Covid) but good quality and reasonably priced.

There were a few issues with the heating but the lady on reception sorted the problem out eventually. The heating was not turned on downstairs and it was blowing out cold air even though I had it on at 25.
