Staff very friendly especially the receptionist who checked us in on Sunday evening. Good value for money. Would stay again. Only criticism is that there is no sink in the loo.

I booked this hotel to break a long journey through the UK and was looking forward to choosing my dinner from the menu on the website, only to be informed that food was from the bar menu and I had to order at the bar. After noting this was not acceptable to me my order was taken at the table, I was then asked if I wanted my starter and main course at the same time! No thank you, when my main course was brought it had obviously been kept warm whilst I ate my starter, not acceptable! In my opinion this is not a 4 star hotel, the staff were polite and helpful but can only work with what they are given. The room was comfortable and clean.

I stayed for 1 night at the Novotel. The room was comfortable and quiet. The building felt solid and I did not hear any noise from the nearby M1 motorway or other guests. The bed was comfortable and the room was well appointed with decent amenities and refreshments. My only complaint with my experience would be regarding the breakfast which was really quite poor. I would stay at this hotel again, however I would avoid breakfast here.
