Was annoyed at being charged £25.80 for 2 for buffet breakfast when Al Accor app says £10.50 …. After enquiry why as app did not say this you have to book breakfast at least before midnight on the day before to pay the lesser amount

We stay regularly at the Ibis Budget hotel Derby to visit family and friends. We always find the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel offers a good breakfast. There is also access to complimentary tea and coffee. The bar area has a range of seating areas with food available during week nights. There are also food outlets within easy walking distance. There is plenty of safe and secure parking. We think the hotel offers good value for money!

Bit of a strange one! My work place booked this trip for business purposes as, it's right around the corner from our training centre. What they didn't see anywhere (and shocked us all) was that there's no rooms with private bathrooms! Having been checked in by a really lovely lady to then find my room had no private bathroom, I went downstairs to find out if I could upgrade my room to one with a private bathroom to which, she explained there wasn't any. I then had to drive around to find a hotel with a private bathroom. No one I have spoken to can understand why any hotel wouldn't have the option of having a bathroom... I think this is something you could maybe look in to to bring in more business. There's not many folk out there these days who wouldn't at least want this option. So, I didn't actually end up staying with you for this reason which, is the reason for only having an 8 out of 10 score. What I will say is, the lady who dealt with me was ever so polite, very accommodating to my circumstances and allowed me to check right back out with no fuss. THIS is what customer service is about. Simple, easy and polite. I will also say that, your hotel is immaculately clean. I'd have loved to stay with you as, it's one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stepped foot in! Just a shame you don't have bathrooms! The 8 out of 10 score has been given for that reason and is in no way a reflection on any staff or treatment I received.
