Always a positive experience here. It's a budget hotel so the facilities are basic but very functional. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Surprisingly good air conditioning, which is rare to find in the UK/Europe, and much appreciated during the relentless heatwaves of this summer. There's no coffee/tea making facilities in the room but they do have this available in the reception area. Breakfast is decent and just a few extra pounds per night. The location is very convenient, right off the A50, perfect distance from Alton Towers. There's a Shell petrol station and well stocked Little Waitrose, along with a few simple places to get a takeaway or dine in just steps away. If you're budget conscious but still want a place that's clean, comfortable, and convenient, then I'd highly recommend this hotel!

Only thing missing was the room kettle to make coffee. I know there was 24 hr coffee downstairs but I couldn’t be bothered to go down continuously. Aside from that, all ok, and the staff were friendly as usual.

Fantastic welcome on reception and the room was clean, a reasonable size and bright. We weren't expecting to have so many amenities so close to the hotel, but the carvery evening meal was very good value and the independent coffee shop was one of the best we'd visited. Topped off by the bar at the hotel and the convenience of the Little Waitrose at the garage and we had everything we needed close by of an evening. I was however disappointed that there wasn't a hairdryer I could loan and so ended up having to stay up late to wait for my hair to dry naturally.
