When booking I wanted to ask a question by phone but waited over 10 minutes for an answer from the receeption desk before giving up. Entering through the gates there seemed to be a lack of directions to car parking including disabled parking. On entering the building first impressions were good but there were no directions to the various facilities on offer. Once reaching the upper florr there were signs to the various rooms. The allocated "fully accessible" room was certainly accessible but not very disabled friendly. For example there was minimal shelf space in the bathroom. The kettle provided could not fit under the tap in the bathroom sink for filling. It was unusual to find only one set of towels provided and no spares in the cupboard. There was no useful information in the room for example meal times, location of restaurant, site map for the complex, nearby attractions, public transport, wifi access instructions, directions for the use of the TV etc. For the price charged I recognised that this was a more significant building than many budget hotels and therefore attracted a higher price. The room was comfortable and breakfast was indeed very good. However it was disappointing to find for example that the welcome tray was minimally tea and coffee and when asking at reception in the evening not even packets of biscuits could be provided there or in the bar. First impressions were good and expectation was high but the lack of attention to many details was very disappointing.

We stayed at Kenwood Hall for 4 nights and from initial check in to leaving the staff were lovely. We had travelled from Cornwall for a funeral and the staff made a point of asking us if we were all ok. The rooms were clean and the food excellent. I’d definitely recommend.

Stayed here for two nights before going to watch my team play Sheffield Wednesday! Had such a great stay! Will defo be back! The swimming pool and everything was perfect!
