Last minute booking. Busy weekend for the hotel , but Steph was able to get us a room. When we arrived, Lisa was able to upgrade us. Great teamwork

There were multiple occasions in which I was left dissatisfied from my mercure kenwood hall and spa hotel experience. The first being the instance in the restaurant, I was phoned the day prior to eating in the restaurant to ask what time I would like to be booked in for to eat and I requested 6:30, and this was accepted. However, when me and my partner arrived for food we were denied entry and not even asked for our names to see if we were booked in or not, so we both felt extremely discriminated and had to eat downstairs at the bar and there was a wedding and because both of us experience high levels of social anxiety it felt extremely uncomfortable as it was busy and overcrowded. The second of these experiences happened when we ordered a pizza to our room at 8pm and an hour and a half later it still had not arrived, we also had paid a fee for it to come to our room and it did not arrive so in the end I went down and had to collect a stone cold pizza by myself as the kitchen had closed and they wouldn’t make a new one. Overall, the service was below standard and expectation and left us having an unpleasant anniversary. We would not come back here again or recommend to a friend.

Stayed here for 2 nights and WOW beautiful surroundings and such a well run and friendly hotel The staff were brilliant the room was spotless Would recommend this hotel to anyone Location was fabulous ideal for the city centre Food was yummy well presented and full of flavour
