Room was very dark, safe in the most ridiculous position with buttons needing pressing you cant even see. We needed to make our own bed, toilet flush was very dodgy and very basic amenities in the room. Breakfast was sparse, staff shouting at each other across the restaurant, serving tinned fruit is not acceptable and all the cooked was very greasy. This hotel was once a lovely, comfortable and very well maintained establishment, but now it just appears very dated, very old and extremely poor value. We are cancelling a booking we had later on the year.

Comfortable stay. Staff superb. Visiting family in Sheffield. Second time at hotel. Would reconsider elsewhere next time because we didn’t realise it was an events hotel and evenings hotel congested and noisy.

The spa could do with an update but the massage with Fi was amazing. The first room we were given was like dungeon but we were upgraded to a privilege room. I would say this was an average room in many more hotels. It was large and the bed very comfy. The star of the show was the food. It was amazing. We had the light lunch and it was anything but. The chicken wings for me and the bhajis for my wife and we both had the Kenwood burgers. For evening meal she had the garden vegetable risotto. Absolutely delicious and I had the Teryaki salmon which tasted amazing. The stag in this hotel are first class. Reception were so welcoming, Kateryna who made our room spotless. Hollie at lunch in the restaurant couldn’t do enough for USA d Josh at dinner. Both made our experience extra special.
