Rooms were ok, a bit dated but sufficient for the money. As we booked as a family for the New Years Eve celebration we were disappointed with the availability of the drinks, as this was family part to find out there was no orange juice was somewhat comical, it would have taken 5 minutes to nip to Tesco and stock up on fresh orange juice. Bar service was slow, seemed a bit unfair having one guy working it alone to serve a party of around 100 people. Location and parking were excellent, the spa/pool area seemed a bit run down. The magician that did table magic was fantastic.

I had a free upgrade to a large room but wish I hadn’t because the room was cold. I know it was very cold outside but even so the heating should be adequate. I found a portable oil filled radiator in wardrobe which helped a bit but with no heating in bathroom there was no chance it could get warm. The room itself was very good

I booked a double room for me, my wife and little 2 year old so we could be in Sheffield with family. The hotel is nice and overall was fine BUT the pool / spa air temperature was really cold so that was a bit grim with a little one but main issue was a big wedding party on the night after boxing day. We asked for a quiet room from the outset. I know the hotel has to host this kind of event to keep a decent income stream but booming music until gone 11pm when you have a 2 year old and very upset wife is not ideal especially in the middle of Christmas. My wife had to go to the front desk in person and was offered 2 other rooms, one a single which is hopeless as a family and one which was even louder. That led to me taking the blame for making the booking so not the joyous experience i was after. When I approached the front desk the next morning to gently explain that we might need to check out early due to the loud noise the lady just said "ok no problem" as if everything was just fine. I felt like saying "I'm sorry, did you not hear what I just said?" I was expecting something along the lines of "we are sorry we put our well being before your comfort please accept our apologies and maybe a hot chocolate to make you feel better" would have been better...Anyway, apparently the pool area was warmer the day we left..
