Stayed here for 2 nights for a romantic get away with my fiancé and facilities, food and staff were amazing. Big shout out to Elise for making our room and weekend perfect and for Jobish for all food and drink requirements, made the stay 10 out of 10 - it’s the little things that go a long way and make a potential good stay into a great stay!

It was an excellent stay with everything made so special by the staff. My mum had emailed prior to let them know it was my graduation and Paul had left a card and cake in the room. He had upgraded our room to a beautiful suite. Whilst playing Poole on the free unlocked table, Elise also spoke to us and gave us some great recommendations for local walks. Paul gave us a great recommendation for a pub after graduation. I would recommend this hotel to anyone on friendly staff alone. However the grounds were also lovely with a pond and greenery surrounding it. The rooms ere lovely and warm with comfy pillows too. There was lots of parking available on site too! Julia made sure our rooms were very clean and tidy.

I have been staying at this hotel for 2-3 nights at a time every 4 months or so for the last couple of years. It is particularly well located for me. However every time I go it gets a little more tired and worn down. Of all my visits this was the worst room, in the worst location that I have stayed in at any Mercure. I did complain because the room was hard to sleep in due to the noise every night (wedding parties, all nighters in the next room with a gap below the adjoining door, and I did get moved to a much quieter room. However this room was, I am guessing, the room that complaining customers get, as the mattress was not properly on the bed and the room itself was smaller than the room I had vacated. As is always the case you never find just one cockroach so the need to move rooms was just the biggest of a number of issues that occurred this visit. Just as another pointer the staff seemed generally indifferent. My wife reported a car with its window smashed in in the hotel car park. Once they had established I was not the owner they didn't seem that worried. etc, etc

From start to finish everything was perfect, staff at the front desk were lovely, lunch was really nice and really filling, we then had a spa treatment each and the spa staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, we all had a really good chat. Then we had dinner later on which tasted amazing, staff again were great. We loved the room, it was beautiful and really spacious and very clean. And then breakfast in bed the next morning which was a real treat, then back to the spa for a swim and look at the gym. Will definitely book to stay again, was a really good 2 days. Had a walk around the grounds before we left and saw the ducks which is a nice little touch.
