We use this hotel when visiting relatives who live nearby. The Privilege room we stayed in had several improvements on previous visits. The blackout curtain is more effective now it has been fixed to the sides of the window, the second comfortable chair makes complete sense given this is a room for two people, and a welcome pack was a nice touch. And there were Nespresso pods for the coffee machine (they were in short supply a few months ago).

I stayed at this hotel last week and was very disappointed with the condition of the room. It was advertised as newly refurbished, but this was clearly not the case, as the space felt dated and poorly maintained throughout. Both the main door and the bathroom door were damaged, as though they had been forced at some point and never properly repaired. The chair was heavily stained, which made the room feel unclean, and the window did not close properly, causing a noticeable draft. The air conditioning unit appeared very old and had yellowed with age, which is not what you would expect from a hotel claiming to be 4 star. The lighting in the room was also very poor, to the extent that other guests were complaining about it to reception during my stay. In addition, complimentary water was listed in the booking but was not provided, which added to the overall disappointment. Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance and general standard of the room were far below expectations. I do not understand how this hotel is rated as 4 star. A very disappointing stay and will not be returning.
