Panchi was a brilliant host, the service and food in the restaurant was great. The rooms were spacious and beds were super comfortable. Stayed 5 nights for work and the location was so convenient for local shops. Highly recommend this hotel and the attached restaurant.

A cold night.

On the coldest night of the year, I couldn't get hot air to come out of the ventilator. Nor could I turn off the bathroom light. Turned out the bathroom lights were on the fan switch above the door but I never did fathom the heating. Slept in my clothes. I reported my issues to reception and I was assured help would come but it never did. I usually understand heating in hotels, or they have instructions in the desk, but at Mercure I guess you prefer to keep it a secret.

Excellent value for money (two night stay) Staff very welcoming and Panchi in the restaurant was excellent. Food good and reasonably priced. Found hotel well positioned for us to do some shopping and sight seeing without using the car. Thankfully a promotion so avoided the £8 daily parking.
