Great hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean. Breakfast was very nice. We have no fault with this hotel. One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. Quiet location. About 3-4 miles from the city centre but £15 for a Uber to the city.

We arrived late at night around 8-9pm. Firstly, we checked in, but found we had to ask for the information that should have been given to us automatically such as registering the car for the car park, i had to ask about breakfast time. There were no mention where we were meant to find our room which was annoying because it wasn’t immediately clear the other rooms were on the other floors that you had to take the lift too. Only the bottom rooms were indicated. When we got to our room, we opened the door and was hit with a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We opened the window, thinking someone smoked in there beforehand, but no, we opened the bathroom door and the smell engulfed us. The extractor fan did not work, as in did not function. It was clear someone was smoking nearby and the smell was coming through the vents/ fan. We went downstairs to report but was told that maybe we let the windows open as it could be smell coming through the vents. (No indication they were concerned that someone was obviously in their room). The lady behind the desk told us no other rooms with extra bed was available, asked if we could stay there for the night and they could see if anything would be free the next day. I refuse, because i do not wish for my family especially my child to sleep in a room that was pumping in second hand smoke. The lady took and air freshner to the room to check it out. Lo and behold, the smoke hit us much stronger as we opened. She opened the window, checked the fan and called her colleague. Another room was arranged for us on the third floor, 336. She told us someone will be up with an extra bed in 10 minutes. They came up again to pass us a new room card and told us maybe 30 mins. We waited a whole hour! My husband had to go downstairs, he came back up with a gentlemen carrying a bed and had to physicaly help with moving the spare bed and the bedsheets and duvet! He said the ladies at reception were gone obviously done for the night! I would expect they would at least stay to see that our issue would sorted. Ridiculous we had to go fetch our own bed!

Great room that was clean and comfortable. Very welcoming of our dog who enjoyed her stay too. Convenient for visiting Cardiff. Not enough towels upon our arrival but problem quickly sorted. Breakfast was adequate and sausages particularly tasty. Did the job and was good value. We will be back when we return to visit our son.

Hotel is nice and newly refurbished, staff is not very friendly and interested, receptionist just said us the room number, no direction, no breakfast and check out time. When I asked her, she told me wrong one, which was not true for weekend amor week day either. F&B did not clean the table for ages, as there wa so many sticky leftovers and bottles with glasses, did not take it even when we were sitting in lobby for half an hour. Room was nice and tidy, towels dirty from mascara. Waiting to be seated during breakfast for a long time, Nobone around and you don't know who is staff as they don't wear uniforms and just random clothes like square shirts, pullover etc. Overall we had a nice time, but staff could be more interested in guests and use words please, sorry and thank you, smoke would not hurt also ;)

Great value hotel, not far from central Cardiff. Great facilities, rooms very spacious with nice decor. Restaurant was serving hot food and table service was great, especially from our waiter Panchi who was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Reception area seemed a little strange, no the usual but staff friendly.
