Noise in most rooms with doors slamming

This room was booked by my company so I didn’t have any choice but to stay here I have been told some of the rooms are very nice but some of the rooms have got black mild on the curtains and on the walls around the windows the carpets are thread bear in some rooms I have stayed in but room 22 is probably the best room I have stayed in over the past 18 months and I stay there for 6 months of the year but if I had to pay for my accommodation I would not stay there.

Norwich Mercure is home for offshore workforce. The staff do a great job considering the rules and regulations for pandemic.

Old hotel, old inventory, not any good way to control temperature inside room, loud between rooms, loud noices outside, dodgy firealarm that qicked in several times.

The hotel amenities were ok and the room was clean and COVID controls seemed good. My evening meal was good and the room service was fast. One negative point was that when i ordered room service (as a COVID control requirement) i was advised that i can get a reciept for the meal from the reception the next day, however at the reception the next day i was advised that there is no way for them to give me a reciept, i should have got it at the time of payment when ordering. Due to this being for a buisnesss trip, not having a reciept will cause an issue when i submit my expenses.

The Hotel has made much effort to maintin a good level of hospitality combined with Covid 19 safety measures, all aspects of guest safety have been considered and are well applied. Covid aside the room was comfortable and quiet, decent meals (by rooms service only at the moment) Easy WiFi connection, all I needed for a short business trip

Positive. Very impressed with the Reception Staff. In the current climate it is very difficult for All. The Reception Staff made my stay comfortable and were only too happy to assist . Very professional. A credit to the hotel (Mandy/Kerry). Also a big thanks to the staff not seen.

Efficient reception experience. Hotel was clean and tidy. Clear Covid procedures in place. Room was tired in places but was clean. Useful items left in room for use and complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise.

The hotel itself was ok. however, when we arrived, the room we were given was dirty and had what looked like, blood stains on the floor. We were then moved to a different room. We were disappointed that we paid for breakfast and all we were given was porridge, a muffin and fruit. Having stayed at other Mercure hotels, this was incredibly disappointing. If you pay for breakfast, you should be given more options. The best part of our stay was the receptionist, Kat. She was so helpful and extremely nice. She made our trip really.

Troublefree with good facilities. I felt safe under the new Covid-19 regulations. I would like to have tried the restaurant and bar, but unfortunately, due to the above that wasn't possible. I look forward to staying in the future.

We usually stay at Ibis in France as we travel a lot each year. This year is different but UK standards are good. This time Mercure was the only one available in Norwich. Can i compare? Staff and facilities were good and Covid cleaning was very good. But single aluminium windows with water covered windows in the morning was not expected and walk in shower is not standard in this hotel. It was still a good stay with very helpful staff. A little out of town but a £7 taxi ride puts you in the centre.
