initially could not get items charged to my room even as I was staying for 4 nights- food was passable- the chips was better at the local "Spoons" . Local knowledge- said up to 1hour to the station in the morning- took 15 mins

Business overnight stay before going offshore. Lovely welcoming greeting from the reception team. The room I had was large with a very comfortable bed & showering facility’s. The meal choices from the restaurant are very nice with plenty of selection which should suit everyone’s tastes. Breakfast again is very nice with plenty of choice. The hotel is close to the airport. A taxis ride to the airport is approximately 10 minutes & around 15mins to the train station. There is an Asda within 5 minutes walk & various small businesses/ restaurants close by.

I was a little worried given the reviews but ni, it wasn’t noisy at all and yes it was a little old school and maybe needs a refurb but was simply a traditional hotel and had decent sized rooms with all you would normally expect including biscuits and water. Less keen in having the water in cans as once open you can’t reseal. Bed was rather firm and pillows the opposite but all in all a pleasant stay with friendly staff

Staff were dedicated, very efficient and friendly. Room comfortable and well laid out, as it should be. Some other aspects less good: - My ground-floor room faced onto a back-yard, at eye level. - initially the telephone and some lighting would not work, but staff speedily sorted that. - Evening meals very filling and not well cooked. - Self-service breakfast items difficult to find. - Building, backing onto an industrial estate, not well planned internally and sprawling.
