Apart from a couple of access issues, the whole experience was great. Staff, and Angie, the manager, were so good and couldn’t do enough for us. Our event went really smoothly and I would definitely go back. Bar staff and waiting staff were very helpful and patient when we sat a little too long at the table, chatting! Most of us slept well, except for a few who were near a very noisy room. Not the fault of the staff, but the night staff dealt with it quickly and professionally. So thanks to Angie, Gill, and the whole team who, from booking to leaving, made the whole experience easy peasy! Only one complaint for the Mercure company - there is no lift so for our attendees who are differently abled this made things a bit difficult. I know they could reach the room from the outside but if you’re all dressed up and you have to go out in the rain that’s not very nice.

No complaints whatsoever. The hotel is a little tired in places. However everywhere is very clean and the staff are exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good.
