Hotel in poor decorative state throughout. Carpets in main areas dirty and threadbare. Evening meal was overcooked and dry. Breakfast had been left under heat lamps too long and was dry and too crisp. Scrambled egg in a lump. Fried eggs were not fresh, even when fresh requested. Pastries stale and dry. Sausages were stuck to tray they were served in. Black pudding rock hard. Mushrooms greasy and burnt. No dishes available to dispense jams etc. Staff were pleasant enough. Good car park.

No real complaints, there was however a mix-up on my booking, with me being charged for two rooms due to some internal error, otherwise room was clean, comfortable bed, bathroom a slight disappointment as I prefer a walk-in shower as opposed to the shower being over the bath, which I find a little unsafe for us older visitors. Breakfast average, enough variety, ample free car-parking on site. Overall quite satisfied with my 4 night stay.

Great staff BUT FFS a false alarm at 3.08am that’s a no no!

Being woken at 3:08am is understandably frustrating, particularly during a business stay, and I completely appreciate the impact this had on your experience and your decision to leave the hotel early. Excellent breakfasts. The only let down was the servicing of our room. The room was booked for two adults for four nights. Housekeeping continually treated if as "single occupancy". Daily visit had to be made to reception to ask for extra stocks of tea/coffee/milk, towels and bin emptying.

We're very sorry to hear that the housekeeping service did not meet expectations during your stay. As your room was booked for two adults, it should have been consistently serviced and stocked accordingly. We understand how frustrating it must have been to repeatedly request additional refreshments, towels, and bin servicing from reception. Please accept our sincere apologies for this oversight. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping team so we can review our procedures and ensure this does not happen again.
