Perfect weekend away.for my wifes 40th. Facilities and team were fantastic, nothing was too much effort. Food was amazing in both restaurants and the spa was incredible along with treatment. We also enjoyed a celebration ride at the Equestrian centre which was amazing. The property unfortunately did not far well in the exceptional heat during the UK heatwave. Lack of air conditioning made the night uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. Also being on the first floor we were unable to open the windows more than a few inches. Unfortunate for a 5 star hotel not to have air conditioning in place but we appreciate the challenges being such an old property. We are already discussing our next visit albeit we will avoid the summer months. Such an incredible place!

I arrived to a room that was hotter than the current outside temp. there was a half working fan in the room that was just blowing hot air in the room. When I asked for another fan the reception said they had no more. it blew nasty dust all over me while sleeping. I had to walk around outside until 10 pm to even be able to lay down in the room. For the money I spent at a 5 star place with a half broken fan as a solution to the heat wave is just not acceptable. I really believe I should get points or some sort of compensation for this stay. We had a wonderful time at Lucknam Park for our birthday/ anniversary gift. The staff and the facilities were excellent. The hotel was very clean and the gardens were beautifully manicured. The only issue we experienced was the heat in the room. For a 5* hotel we were expecting there to be air conditioning. The UK is currently going through a heatwave so we assumed the hotel would be well equipped for such an event. We were told that the hotel was a heritage building that could not have fitted air conditioning, but for a venue with such a cost per night, it would not be unreasonable to have a portable unit in each room.
