We have been going to Lucknam Park for about 30 years so we know what to expect, but the staff are wonderful and the food was excellent

House and grounds are beautiful but the service and prices do not reflect a 5 star hotel. £48 for breakfast is £3 more than Claridges Hotel in London charge and £9 for a cup of coffee! The restaurant staff are very nice and try their best but they are not very organised or trained well and we had to ask for place settings and chase up orders etc. The Spa is very nice and we enjoyed sitting outside on sun loungers, however if you want a drink you have to get up and go and get it yourself from the Garden Restaurant. It would have been nice to have someone get it for us! Overall I felt we weren’t looked after very well and that we were being ripped off with the prices that we were charged.

The over all stay was good. The setting is stunning and property is ideally located for sightseeing. The service was good, but lacking just a bit in certain areas. Specifically the library/ tea area. The service doesn't match the level of the other two restaurants and feels disconnected service wise. The riding was amazing and I will certainly send clients with families there, as I loved how family friendly it is. Unfortunately, during our stay, there was a massive heat wave and it was unbearably hot in the room ( 86 degrees one night), that my family took to bringing blankets into the bathroom to sleep on the floor or in the tub, as it was slightly cooler. If I sent clients, I would ensure they had an air conditioned room, as I know weather is unpredictable. We did not complain as manager was so kind in upgrading our room as I am a travel advisor, but it would have been nice to have the staff/ manager address the extreme heat, as I am sure many other guests were equally miserable.

A weekend stay with an extended family. Private dining on one evening. Very comfortable accommodation. Excellent facilities for all the family. Great pool and spa. Highly recommended.

The room we were allocated (Room 8) was simply too hot. The fan provided was noisy a. incapable of cooling the room sufficiently.
