I love Lucknam Park! it is so peaceful and chilled and the staff are all so lovely and accommodating. I think it is my favourite hotel in England!

Dear Leigh, Thank you so much for such a glowing review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that Lucknam Park has earned the title of your favourite hotel in England. With so many beautiful destinations across the country, it truly means the world to our team that our corner of the Cotswolds stands out to you. The scene is so beautiful. Food at Walled Garden Restaurant is so good. Activities are fun, esp the clay pigeon shooting. Leisure facilities, they have it all. Spa and treatment are very soothing. The problem is that the beddings are not comfortable. We woke up several times sleeping unwell. Overall the service is good, however I feel there’s a tiny different treatment towards Asian clients.

Dear Chuan, Thank you for your kind words regarding our estate, spa and activities. We are delighted you enjoyed these aspects, though we sincerely regret that our bedding did not provide the restful sleep you deserve. We are sorry to hear you feel that way regarding your experience, however I can assure you that at Lucknam Park (a multi cultural business itself), we pride ourselves on an inclusive, world class welcome and maintain a strict policy of equal, attentive service for every guest. Kind regards, Bart

Room was comfortable but considering cost - did not level up to expectations in size or luxury factor. Main restaurant was closed for dinner during our stay and Garden restaurant was extremely busy. Had issues with our mains which had to be sent back to be re cooked - spoilt the evening. Spa whilst lovely set up - the indoor outdoor pool had a jacuzzi experience on ‘loop’ with only one small corner running jacuzzi. Meant one had to swim from one end to the next chasing the experience - bizarre. As the pool was busy this also made it highly impractical. Nice grounds, service patchy but you could see staff trying. Overall - not living up to expectations or price bracket.

Dear Veronika, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. We are pleased you enjoyed our grounds and the efforts of our team, though we sincerely regret that several aspects of your visit did not meet the high standards you expected, for which I would like to apologise. I do hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you back and if so may I kindly ask you to reach out to me personally to allow me to oversee your stay. Kind regards, Bart de Winter Deputy Hotel Manager

A stay at Lucknam Park was a nice way to pass Easter weekend in spite of the less than clement weather. Whilst the hotel itself is not, I would posit, in the same league as Cliveden, the service is just as good if not better and the food, in my opinion, is better suited to a relaxing country house stay. We did not try Hywel Jones’ Michelin star restaurant but ate a couple of times in the Walled Garden restaurant which was very good.We also enjoyed their cocktails! The cottage accommodation was particularly suitable for us and our dogs, it was well appointed and quietly situated with a small enclosed garden which gave us peace of mind. The accommodation was, on the whole, comfortable and save for a couple of minor gripes, like a bulb in the bathroom which needed replacing and the ubiquitous toiletries secured to the wall (which seem an anathema in a hotel of this calibre) there was little with which we could find fault. I do struggle to understand why hotels assume (at this price point) that we are going to steal toiletries; honestly it is a little offensive. I should add that the securing of toiletries to the wall is rather an irritation in the bathroom as the toiletries are fixed in the shower and therefore impossible to use if you’re having a bath. Someone has not thought about this. We had a really nice welcome from Gareth and although I am a Platinum Accor member, we expected to receive the usual free drinks, these were not in fact credited to our account. A pity - but an irritation only. David in the bar at the Walled garden restaurant was particularly entertaining but all of the staff offered great service and the food was really enjoyable. We particularly appreciated being able to take our dogs into the bar area for a drink and light meal, especially as the tables are spaced far apart giving us peace of mind and ensuring that no other guests were troubled by them. We were pleased to see electric car chargers made available, but it is a shame that other guests decided to leave their cars on charge for over 24 hours making it impossible for us to use the chargers. It might be sensible for the hotel to put some sort of restriction on this so that all guests using electric cars benefit. Overall, a good experience. Thanks!

Dear Mrs M., Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback following your recent Easter stay with us. I am delighted to hear that you had an enjoyable and relaxing visit overall, despite the weather, and that you found the service to be of a high standard. It is wonderful to know you enjoyed your time in the Walled Garden Restaurant, along with the cocktails, and that the cottage accommodation suited both you and your dogs so well. I will be sure to pass on your kind comments to Gareth, David, and the wider team. At the same time, I truly appreciate you highlighting the areas where your experience could have been improved. Please accept my apologies for the maintenance issue with the bathroom bulb and for the inconvenience caused by the fixed toiletries. Your comments regarding both the practicality and perception of these have been noted and will be carefully reviewed with the team. Thank you also for your feedback regarding the electric vehicle charging points. You raise a very valid point, and we will certainly look into how we can better manage their use to ensure fair access for all guests. I am sorry to hear that your Accor membership benefits were not applied as expected. I will be reaching out to you separately regarding the drink vouchers to ensure this is resolved. Thank you once again for your balanced and constructive feedback. We very much hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the future. Kind regards, Brigitta Kovacs Assistant Hotel Manager

We recently stayed at Lucknam Park and had a wonderful start to our trip. The reception team provided a warm, seamless welcome, and the spa facilities were a true highlight—we particularly enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool. While the food quality at both Hywel Jones and The Walled Garden was excellent, the service, unfortunately, did not match the Michelin 3-key setting. At The Walled Garden, we waited nearly an hour for two coffees, despite checking on the order four times. Furthermore, our dining experience at Hywel Jones was marred by finding bones in the salmon course for both of us, and we were eventually presented with an incorrect bill. Lucknam Park is a beautiful estate, but the attention to detail in the dining rooms needs improvement to match the rest of the experience.

Dear Zhidong, Thank you for your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay. We are delighted you enjoyed our spa and reception team, but we sincerely apologize that the service in our dining rooms did not meet the high standards we strive to maintain. We have shared your comments with our Food & Beverage team to ensure immediate improvements are made. Kind regards, Bart
