Good location

The location is great but our room was disappointing compared to the last room we stopped in. There were limited plugs, no seating next to the mirror. Only one towel each. No shampoo or body wash- both bottled were empty! The shower flooded the bathroom everytime we used it! The cleaner didn't replenish the toilet roll during our stay of 3 nights and we didn't realise until we had run out on the morning of our departure and my husband had to use the shower then use wets towels to try and dry himself!!! All small things but spoilt the weekend

Excellent location and comfortable stay.

My only negative comment is the size of the room, almost tripping over the bed on entering! However, as we never intended to say in the room other than to sleep, this did not present a problem. The hotel is very well situated and the "beer garden" at the front is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. We did not ask for housekeeping as our stay was only 3 nights. Bar service was quick and efficient as was the check in (done online) and checkout (key-drop). In general the staff that we met were very friendly, only the female receptionist on checkin was not smiley at all; she was very serious and did not reflect feel-good atmosphere of the hotel. I would return to this hotel in the future and can recommend it.

Enjoyable stay

excellent stay, friendly stay, good bar prices, good bed, everything is good about the hotel except whatever they are building next door starts work at 7am and is very noisy and £10 per night to park but if you take account paying for taxis its probably cheaper.

Very disappointed!

We stayed in Ibis for a night, booked ahead but was charged £250 for a twin room. Very small, bath room facilities were poor like you find in a porta cabin. They have stopped providing even water bottles! Air con want working and reluctant to switch them on centrally! There is hardly any indoor dining space for guests during breakfast, people holding their plates and eating by a side table. Lifts are temperamental with swipe cards not working on them properly and a bit unsafe as the doors closed on me. This hotel doesn’t deserve more than £50/night. I would never stay there again.
