Room nice and clean, view of river front spectacular at night. Staff could not be more helpful . Surprised at the friendly and warm atmosphere. Breakfast good selection and easy to take. Good evening, We stay at the Ibis Liverpool Docks often, as we feel its so welcoming and in a perfect location. The polite reception staff always give us lovely rooms facing the Docks. We stayed two nights in room 222 this time, which was lovely, however, there was a foul smell coming from the bathroom which was really unpleasant. And the headboard had dirty finger marks all over!!! As I have to have rest times, due to my health, all I want to do is to lie down and relax. We noticed that new carpets had been laid in the corridor, which looked and smelt very nice. We did contenplate going to tell the reception staff about the odour in the ensuite, and marks on the headboard, but we’re not big on complaining and being rude, and also we appreciate how busy the housekeepers are.
