We were grateful to have booked this hotel with just 24 hours notice having been truly shafted by the Hilton down the road! The hotel itself is lovely. We parked easily and at just £11 it was good value. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was very small and we had an awful night sleep on the very noisy and uncomfortable bed. The shower tray was also cracked and had been taped up which wasn’t great. Breakfast was basic but fine for what we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect - opposite the Albert docks, a short walk to the shops, theatre etc so couldn’t be better.

The bedroom was barely big enough for the bed, and the bed itself, twin room, the beds werent even standard sized single beds, they were 2 foot 6 beds, so you can imagine how small the room was.

Stay at this hotel any time we are over for a match, this is our 7th stay at this hotel however and normally it does the job for what we need however this is now the second time in a row we have had issues with the room, this time was the location of the room. Travelling with a very tired child we where placed in room 17 which is right next to the entrance to the corridor of rooms, all we could hear all night was the entrance door slamming which woke both myself and my 8 year old up numerous times, perhaps not the best room location to place a child

This is our 3 visit to ibis Liverpool sadly this time wasn't the greatest the room we were allocated had a couple of issues, photographs were taken and we spoke to the duty manager Simon Demougodin on our departure. He appeared genuinely concerned abd shocked when he saw the photographs and was very apologetic. He kindly refunded our money in full and assured us the issues would promptly be address.
