It was fine. It's a budget hotel. I'm not expecting much. But there were no working batteries in the TV remote, the TV in my daughter's room had a fuzzy picture. There was a weird strain on the wall that my children had a great time debating the origin of: 'Is it blood or poo? Was someone murdered here it did they just have an accident of one sort or another?' But comfy beds, great location, nice staff, otherwise clean, really cheap... It was fine.

The stay was fine and I have booked more stays for this month. I will not however be buying any food from the hotel. I ordered a pizza and got what looked like a 99p supermarket type pizza and paid about £11 for it. I was appalled at this. I have also decided against having breakfast every morning because it is so inconsistant. In one instance I watched people collect their breakfast with trays piled up only to receive my breakfast with one sausage, 1 bacon, omelette and a table spoonful worth of beans! Of course I sent it back with instructions to give me more than that. I should not have had to do this. Considering I am one of a few paying guests at this hotel I found this bewildering. On some occasions I would have liked to sit outside and enjoy a pint but due to the nature of your live in guests, I assume housed by the local authority, I felt uncomfortable doing so because of the language loudly conveyed. I also notice that I am subject to being told to wear a mask on the one time I forgot, but your live in guests seem to be able to do what they like without being challenged. My other observation is about parking - you actually charge me to park at the hotel - £10 per day + £1 p/h after 12pm but I can go on Just park and get that for £6 per day. I also had not been informed that I could buy a monthly ticket despite booing a whole month in advance ( I have been staying here since 22nd March 21) Not once did anyone say but i overheard someone coming into park being told they could have a monthly ticket. This is very poor customer service. Why should I even have to pay for parking?

Feel free to specify how many slices you want per item on your breakfast list if you wish more than the usual, as our breakfast options are unlimited and our team will be happy to provide it to you. We are sorry that you didn’t enjoy our pizza; our pizzas are coming from a pizza supplier and we usually receive positive feedback about it. We all have different personal taste which we completely understand. If at any time you feel uncomfortable for whatever reason please do not hesitate to come to speak with the management team and we will be happy to sort any issues out. We do our best to catch the guests who are not wearing a mask in our public areas, some guests are exempt of wearing it however we did ask them to wear a badge exemption lanyard to show that they are exempt. For the parking ticket, we offer a monthly pass for a period of 28 days for our guests who are staying during a long period of time. We apologize we haven’t suggested to you as we genuinely didn’t think about it. Please come to reception next time you are staying with us and we will review your different reservations and we will revise the price accordingly. Second time we have stayed here, location is close to everything, staff are great, helpful, obliging, understanding, can’t praise them highly enough. Room is very clean, bed so comfortable, view of Albert Dock great, bathroom small but clean and functional, ideal for us, extra pillows available, plenty tea and coffee, and the hotel is pet friendly,y which means a lot to us. Had to visit Liverpool for a hospital appointment. The hotel is conveniently located close to the waterfront. The accommodation is of a good standard and everything was clean. In the current climate all the COVID-secure arrangements were in place

had to come up to Liverpool for a medical appointment. Hotel is well situated on the waterfront. Room and facilities very good and clean, although it would benefit from an upholstered chair to sit on rather than a wooden one. Breakfast menu very good but restaurant menu limited due to Covid restrictions.

Overall I have been satisfied with my room. My only gripe would be that every now and again a dog would start barking over 1/2 hour on one occasion as it seems you are allowed to keep dogs in hotel rooms and intermittently for about 10 mins at a time

For your information, it is mentioned on all our websites that our car park is chargeable. The price of the rooms are relatively cheap at the moment however the car parking charge remain the same. With regards to the other issues you mentioned, our towels and bed sheets they are Ibis standard issue and unfortunately you didn't raise these concerns during your stay or on check-out. Stayed for two nights due to hospital day operation. Staff are/were wonderful, very helpful, friendly, can’t praise them enough, they are so good. Bedroom And bathroom super clean, very comfy bed. Excellent shower unit. Snacks we had were ok and good value. We will definitely stay at the Ibis again when next in Liverpool hopefully by that time Covid restrictions will be lifted. The other super thing about this hotel is they are pet friendly which for us earns loads of brownie points. Thank you Ibis for making our stay so good.

Can never fault these guys - had to order pizza from over the road, who failed to get us knives and forks, so we borrowed a set from the hotel and handed them back. Will be staying again for 4 might for business again

Nice hotel. Clean and tidy but the beds are dreadful.

We have stayed in several IBIS hotels recently and tend to keep using them because the price is right and the location suits us very well. We are used to being welcomed with a smile. This time it was different. One of your staff was talking with a colleague - no problem, I can wait. When she was done she came to us and just said "Name?" No smile. No welcome. I also noted that the person who looked as though she was the manager (dark haired female about 40) did not seem very keen to smile at customers either. This attitude comes from the top, and needs to change. WE may stay in this Ibis once more, but if the reception is the same, we're going elsewhere. I once heard of a receptionist who was called "Director of First Impressions". This is exactly what a receptionist is and our first impression this time was not good.
