I know the hotel has budget in the title but the room wasn’t even that cheap! I arrived at the hotel was given a room key, went to my room and it had not been turned over so I went back to reception and had to lug all of my bags back. The room I was given was beyond basic. Shower opens in to room, nowhere to hang anything, no kettle, it felt like one step up from a prison cell (not that I’ve stayed in one of those!) Anyway I got ready in the morning to escape out of the hotel asap and went to check out. The guy was in the the room behind the reception, looked at me and then looked away so I dropped my key in the box and skipped out the door knowing I’d never have to go back to this dire establishment. The whole experience was bad from start to finish.

We checked in and when we opened the door the room was in a mess (take-away food packaging, bed in an unmade state. etc). The room had quite obviously not been made up. The front desk did, however, apologise and immediately allocated another room. Also, every time the toilet was flushed it would, a minute or two later, start discharging water of its own accord.
