A great located hotel within easy walking distance to all amenities in Greenwich. Hotel was clean with good facilities. Breakfast had a good choice and the staff were incredibly friendly. We stayed in a family room which was clean and adequate. The layout could do with a rethink, separate toilet to bathroom is helpful, though sink for hand washing was in the bathroom. Would have been better to either be together or a small basin with the toilet. Bath did not seem to work, but shower was good and products supplied were lovely. Room was hot, as expected during winter, but heating wasn't easy to control if it even was controllable? Sofa bed for my children wasn't overly comfortable. The mattress probably needs renewing. We used the hotel car park which was great, first come first serve, but plenty of space during our stay considering the size of the hotel. Overall, would totally recommend this hotel.

We have stayed several times & have no criticism of the staff. However, having opted for a twin-bedded room (223) for our three night stay we have a number of points to make. It became quickly apparent that the room’s décor & figments can only be described as shabby. The carpet looked dirty with some staining & well past its sell-by date. One of the desk’s legs was angled and the draw was stiff & noisy when opened & shut. The toilet door was out of true with its frame & wouldn’t shut. The bathroom unit’s plug only stayed in its closed position occasionally and we had to fill the bathroom unit’s plug with the shower attachment as we couldn’t operate the mechanism the switched water to the taps. The plug when pushed into the closed position wouldn’t release and had to be physically lifted using two hands to release bath water. These last two issues were reported at reception & maintenance obviously had come up but not managed to improve things. The flimsy basin plug release system didn’t feel secure & on one occasion a number of rusted metal flakes dropped from the metal arms onto the floor in addition to an insect which had made its home up there. After being given two £5 drinks vouchers on arrival as we’d agreed to ‘skip the clean’ for both full days we went to the hotel bar & asked if we could defray the cost of a £25 bottle of wine using the vouchers & our two free drinks app as Gold members. This seemed to cause confusion & we ended up paying £15 for the wine despite the app voucher being scanned. We shouldn’t have had to pay anything at all for the bottle. The choices at breakfast are somewhat limited by the size of the food display area but we couldn’t believe that there were no full sized plates for the cooked breakfast. To replace these with smaller ‘sandwich’ versions is a big step backwards as customers with healthy appetites have to make at least one extra trip to the hot food counter. The hotel is well positioned for our needs ( visiting family) but we will seriously consider finding alternative accommodation on the basis of our visit this time. The expense does not justify staying here given that the hotel really needs updating & rooms recarpeted and decorated. We have recently spent time in several European Accor hotels and the difference in quality is noticeable. We hope that our comments will result in some action to improve things with detailed room inspections a priority to check on the quality of fitments, their appearance & ease of operation. Currently having to pay @ £460 for three nights B&B is not good value. I hope you find this constructive criticism & not us just moaning for the sake of it. Once again none of the above applies in anyway way to the excellent staff. Gerard & Diane S.
