Even though it was only May, the room was like a sauna, the fan simply blew warm air around the room, uncomfortable to sleep in. The carpet in the room was filthy, despite staying for 5 nights, the glitter that was there at the start of my stay was still there when I left. I had to ask repeatedly for toiletries and coffee to be topped up. The bathroom and toilet layout is very odd, use the separate toilet then walk around to the bathroom to wash hands. The room phone was broken, buttons missing, the bathroom vanity lights were cracked and broken, the tap leaked. Novotel need to reinvest some money into the rooms, did not meet 4 star expectations

We got upgrade as ibis hotel we stayed in was closed Overall good experience complimentary breakfast. Location to station perfect. However normal price for this hotel normally. I was quoted when just looking nearly 700 pound for 3 nights. For me price tag isn't justified.

Too many things to be disappointed about. Standard of a 'superior ' room, badly stained carpets throughout, no minibar, hopeless bar service, poor evening meals, shoddy reception - I could go on. Also difficult to make any official online complaint. Reception actually agreed and said an online complaint would be 'helpful'. So disappointed because Accor have always been associated in our minds with quality and style.

All the staff were extremely helpful. Room spotless and comfortable. The only negative side was the carpets were very dirty and the restaurant menu could do with more choice of meals, but the overall stay was very enjoyable. Thank you.

Rooms and facilities perfectly fine but beware the 10% Service Charge which is automatically added to food and drink bills.

Room was okay if slightly tired. The toilet cistern constantly filled through the night. The carpets could do with upgrading. The staff were very friendly and breakfast good.

Rooms clean and tidy, aircon hopeless which meant windows open and very noisy saturday night with poor sleep. Staff at reception and breakfast vey helpful but breakfast a little chaotic with no one in apparent overall charge leading to delays in order being taken and our breakfasts arriving at different times.

Quick check in, not so check out as there was only a single member of staff at Reception and there were quite a few guests trying to check in/ask questions. Very comfy bed but the pillows.... oh dear! Good bathroom with useful toiletries. Great view from the 6th floor and a terrific breakfast. We will definitely return!

The hotel was fine and clean. The location of the power sockets was strange and it was challenging not being able to charge my phone next to the bed. From an environmental perspective, it would have preferred to reuse my towels and only be provided with one bath and one hand towel for single occupancy. All the lights were left on in my room (presumably by the cleaners) when I got back at 11pm at night, which seemed hugely unnecessary and again not environmentally friendly.

Room very hot and a bit tired

The room got very warm and the air conditioning seemed to do nothing! The windows only open a small way and there was lots of noise coming from the pub opposite. The sofa bed wasn't comfortable and the springs could clearly be felt. The bathroom sink water didn't run away very well and the shower door needs attention. The nespresso machine didn't seem to work properly either. The large bed was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely.

I've stayed here before on business and thought it would be a great place for the kids too. Booked two rooms for 3 people in each for two nights. Rooms were only made up for two people each, got bedding sent up at 10pm but turned out to be missing a duvet cover. The staff are very friendly and helpful but seem overstretched. The strangest thing here is that there's no way to contact reception other than in-person; there's no WhatsApp number as in other Accor hotels, there's no guide on the phones in-room, and even the hotel phone number found on the web doesn't work. Also, why do hotels leave one small shower gel tube for 3 people over two nights?

Bath tub that you can close, sink that you can't open, thin walls, carpet hors d'age, room close from elevators and noise despite request of a quiet corner room away from noise... Good location near the train and the DLR and much cheaper than downtown locations...
