Prob the worst Fairmont experience ever had . Customer service is horrendous. Choice of eating places really poor. Having to book to use swimming pool and noticing it was empty was pathetic . Rooms looking tired . Won't be returning

We had an amazing stay at Fairmont St Andrews. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings and a real sense of calm and luxury from the moment you arrive. The service throughout our stay was excellent, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every interaction felt polished without being overbearing. The massages were fantastic and easily one of the highlights of the trip, truly relaxing and very professionally delivered. The only downside, and the reason this is not a completely flawless experience, was the spa and pool access. We had pre-booked massages and naturally assumed this would include access to the pool and spa facilities. However, on arrival we were advised that the pool was virtually fully booked for the duration of our stay, with availability only very early in the morning or late in the evening, even though our visit was for a couple of days during the week. We were also told that having massages booked did not guarantee access, which was disappointing and not something that had been made clear in advance. That aside, the overall experience was still fantastic and very memorable. The hotel, service, treatments, dining, and atmosphere were all first-class. With clearer communication around spa access, this would easily be a perfect stay. We would happily return and recommend the hotel, just with the advice to book pool access well in advance if that’s an important part of your visit.
