Stayed overnight and had dinner in Italian. Staff all lovely and helpful. Bedroom lovely with little chocolates and card to welcome us! Breakfast was so good with loads of choice and attentive staff. Loved the mini shuttle that was a bonus. Italian Resturant was so disappointing. Food awful! Service poor although couple of lovely staff welcomed us.

My only criticism this year was the Kittocks Den was full both nights LaCucina was closed and I had to eat out both nights when I would have preferred to dine in

I have stayed in this hotel many times satisfactorily without any complaint however on this occasion a few things have spoilt our stay. Firstly when I booked it I spoke to someone at length regarding the accessibility of the room to the lifts as my wife is disabled and cannot walk far. I was assured that whatever room would be close to the lifts and it was not. I however did not complain or try to change on arrival as my wife was too tired and needed to rest. The second and main complaint was the fact that we were contacted a week before to inform us that La Cucina would be closed for our duration and we would have to dine in the Kittocks Den. We were here for 2 nights and the menu in the Den was very poor if you are staying more than one night. The soup was the same both nights and at lunch times and not one a lot of people would have taken(winter vegetable and maple)!!! Service was slow even when not busy. I also have an issue with the menu that there were no chicken dishes, no pasta dishes and no pizza or similar. My issue is that this can be purchased as room service however not in the bar which I find astounding. I have stayed here many times and have never noticed any change in this menu through my visits and this was indeed a disappointment. I am looking to further book this year however changes would have to be made to the dining options. I have been in contact with Philip Sneha, Food and Beverage coordinator to try and geta satisfactory outcome however witout success so far.
