We stayed for one night as it was to celebrate our anniversary. The check in process was fine. However, we only discovered at check in that we needed to book to use the swimming pool. Unfortunately we discovered that the pool was fully booked. Very Disappointed.

Had a lovely 2 nights at The Fairmont and would definitely return. On the whole the staff, location, cleanliness, service, food and drink were terrific. Reasons for not marking 10/10: meal at Italian on first night very disappointing. Food was cold, service poor and tables lying for 3 hours without being cleared. Poor for this standard of hotel. Breakfast was super, however on 2nd morning, took an hour for tea/coffee to arrrive after chasing up several members of staff, by which point we were nearly finished. This was rectified by lovely meal on 2nd evening but would really expect better from this calibre of hotel.

Check in was seamless as was the check out Nice room 3006 ….. no price list for the mini bar ! I was attending a function on Friday evening- the reception area was very dark - no lights at all ! The food was cold & not if the standard I would have expected ( but that’s my opinion & maybe the organisers felt differently) Breakfast selection was excellent

We had a lovely stay at the Fairmont St Andrews, Grand Hotel. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive throughout, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well presented, which made for a very relaxing stay overall. The only disappointment — partly down to my own lack of research — was the limited dining options during our stay. The Italian restaurant is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, and as we stayed on a Sunday it wasn’t available. Unfortunately, the steakhouse was also closed for the winter season, which didn’t leave a great deal of choice for evening dining on site. That aside, it’s a beautiful hotel with excellent service, and I’d happily return — just with a bit more planning around dining next time.

Prob the worst Fairmont experience ever had . Customer service is horrendous. Choice of eating places really poor. Having to book to use swimming pool and noticing it was empty was pathetic . Rooms looking tired . Won't be returning
