Checked in went to room and it was not cleaned from previous guest was moved to another room. Next day I went to work at 9am returning at 6pm to find my room had not been cleaned despite request card on door. First day hot breakfast was available 2and day only continental takeaway.

Dear Archie Sorry about checking you into the wrong room. I'm dissapointed to read that you don't seem to understand the limitations of UK lockdown. We are not allowed to enter your room once you have hense your room not being serviced. Also your second morning was the first of full lockdown, meaning hot breakfast and the restaurant area had to be closed. I stay at this hotel a lot (for work) The people who work there are really nice, the hotel is really well located for the motorway and it's reasonably priced. However, the rooms are very tired and in need of a refresh.

Reception staff great, quality of rooms were poor, food standard was much better than expected. Disturbed in the middle of the night due to noise so drove home for 3 hours so I could get some rest.

We have stayed at this hotel on average once per month for 3 or 4 years but do not envisage returning. Room was not as clean as usual, eg tube of cream left on chair, tea or coffee split on bathroom wall tiles. Was surprised to see uncovered croissants, bread for toast, cups and spoons left out at breakfast for everyone to help themselves.. not our experience at other hotels since Covid. We asked if we could cancel our breakfast for our second night but this was refused.

Disappointing

When handed our key we were told that there was a kettle in the room and did we need tea and coffee, of course we did. We were given two very small paper cups with 2 teabags, coffee and milk and a stirrer. This was for a two night stay! In the room 2 plastic beakers. All totally unacceptable,There should have been mugs, spoons and drinking glasses. We accepted no room service but we were capable of washing glasses and mugs for the duration of our stay. We went to the local Tesco and purchased the items for ourselves. The breakfast was very disappointing, only between the hours of 7.30 and 9am and a minimal and luke warm offering. Considering the amount charged this definitely was not value for money. The only good point was that the staff were friendly. We followed this with a stay at a premier Inn for less than half the cost and a far superior experience! Everything provided and a wonderful breakfast. You certainly need to look at the poor experience you give your guests. If Premier Inn can do this then why can’t you.

Front of house very impressive- on the to my room things went downhill.. got to my room and opened the door to a smell which was ‘bearable but if it was not during CD-19 I would’ve asked to be moved!! Not impressed...
