As ever, lovely. But i was trapped in room ,missed an appointment and have emailed desk manchester but no reply. Disappointed.

Dear Dafydd I am so sorry to read of your dissatisfaction, we did look into your door lock, and can not find a fault, that said, they are old locks and clearly you had a problem with yours. I stayed here when being a bridesmaid for my best friends wedding. Pauline (wedding coordinator) came and gave me my key earlier which was fab as it meant I could sort myself out before getting ready. The room itself was fab - although I didn't use it much. It was clean, easy to locate and had a well stocked tea station. Had a TV (we didn't use) and hair dryer. Couldn't get aircon to work which wasn't a big issue as it was 30th November. Breakfast the next day was great - lots of choices between continental and hot breakfast, lots of drink choices. Overall fab stay!

From arrival to departure everything came up to our expectations staff were very helpful , the bed was comfy bathroom was clean and tidy ,breakfast had plenty of choice . Would certainly stay here again and also would recommend this hotel.

I didnt like the fact the toilet was in a different room to the bathroom. The carpet was grubby. There were broken parts of the desk on the room I was staying in. The portion size of the meal was great but it didn't taste the best. The bathroom was clean and nice.

Staff were friendly, restaurant/bar area was pleasant as was the food (breakfast), but the rooms and corridors need updating. Carpet is dirty, as was the bedroom furniture. Overall not a bad stay for the price but I wouldn't seriously recommend to friends on account of the shabby state of the hotel

Hotel ideally placed for our reasons. Unfortunately the room bath drain was blocked and was difficult to clear the build up of water in the bath also the sink drain did not work . I also think you need to clarify the system for your evening meals .we were asked for our room number for food and drinks,so I expected to pay the bill on check out in the morning only to be chased up for money to pay the bill. I do think you need to make this clearer. I reported drains to reception on checkout

Nice Hotel but rooms needed redecorated

Hotel itself was lovely but the ground floor rooms and hallways weren't nice. Carpets in hallway and my room (127) were old and dirty looking. The brown texture walls looked horrible like it was from the 90's. The mattress was also very hard but I suppose that's depends on the person if they like a hard or soft mattress. The group we I was with on the bottom floor which was about 6 people, all woke up everyday feeling stuffy with blocked noses and dry throats. I suspect there's probably an issue with air circulation. Apart from that the staff were friendly, the rest of the hotel looked beautiful and clean. The food was unbelievably good too! Joanne the lady at the bar was one of the nicest and most helpful people I have came across in the hospitality industry. I would stay here again, just maybe in the upstairs rooms as I heard they were nicer.
