We have been staying here each year for the last 5 or more years, on this occasion we did not have the best service. We stayed 2 nights on the Friday the draught beer was off so we had to buy bottled bear. We asked if it would be on for Saturday as my brother and wife would be joining us , they told us yes. But the next night it was still off so to have a pint we had to buy bottle bear at £14 a pint , we then were told they had run out of Bottled IPA . Only I type of Rose wine. At breakfast they ran out of yogurt and fruit and there was no granola, The chocolate croissant was hard. I asked if I could have boiled egg and was informed it would take 9 minutes and the chef did not seem interested so I left it. So not the best experience.

Your comments regarding breakfast offerings are concerning; we aim to provide a fulfilling start to the day, and it is clear that we did not succeed in this instance so I will discuss this with the Head Chef. Room and services were fantastic, the reason for the mediocre score is down to the dining experience, a lot of the serving staff very young and inexperienced, I was dining by myself and ordered a main and a dessert and I was seated for 2 hours! I was waiting for the bill for 25 minutes after I finished and the restaurant was barely full
