Lovely hotel, on the edge of town. Good transport links. Room was spacious with a large comfortable bed. Best night sleep I've had in a hotel for a long time. Food in the restaurant was fabulous, good choice and well cooked. Finally a shout out to the staff. Everyone made us feel welcome, greeted us with a friendly smile, but the bar and restaurant staff were exceptional. They bent over backwards to accommodate us (despite being rushed off their feet with Christmas parties) took time to explain the menu and we were served promptly. Noticed that it was a real team effort, supporting each other to make things work like clockwork. A credit to the hotel chain. Lovely rest before the mad rush of the Christmas festivities. Thank you, we will be back.

Easy check in. Plenty of parking. Enjoyed breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant. Had everything we needed. My only minor complaint would be that the beds and pillows are a little hard. But would definitely stay here again if the price is right.

Coming to Bridgwater was a spontaneous decision, and we quickly searched online for dog-friendly accommodations. This trip marked my first hotel stay with Darla, who was just four months old and definitely not a small dog! I had no idea what to expect, but our experience exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, and the check-out process was quick and efficient. I was impressed with the quality of the room, and before we left, we were delighted to receive a lovely bag of dog treats for Darla. Later, when I spoke with the wonderful receptionist about our journey home, she kindly gave us a couple more bags of treats to keep Darla entertained during the drive. The only minor downside was that we had to eat breakfast in the main entrance. However, given the hygiene considerations of having a dog, I completely understand that this is likely standard practice. Overall, we will definitely be returning! Thank you for making our first experience traveling with my dog such a memorable one.

Check in was as smooth as could be, everything i needed to know was explained succinctly and to the point, my room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, I had an extremely good nights sleep as the bed was top quality and luxurious, staff were very pleasant and the restaurant food exceptional, if all Mercure hotels are as good as this, I will definitely be using them again
