We have stayed here several times the beds/pillows are really comfortable this time however the breakfast beans/mushrooms/tomato were cold or Luke warm every morning . We did tell the breakfast staff but they just said nobody else had complained

We stay at the Mercure Bridgwater fairly regularly and always find the rooms clean and comfortable. The reception staff were welcoming and professional, especially Nicolete, who was incredibly helpful, cheerful and a real credit to the hotel. The food was very good too and beautifully presented, although service was quite slow at times and we waited around 30 minutes for dessert. Overall, another enjoyable stay and we’ll happily return.

Superior room was excellent. Fast WiFi and air con. Very clean and the best shower I have had in a hotel. Base not slippery, hand rails and places to put things including hand towel. Rainwater type and normal handle. Multiple pump soaps, body wash, shampoo and conditioner rather than one for all. The pumps are difficult but everywhere uses them. My request for a quiet room was noted and followed. Booking communications excellent. Booked via Secret Escapes and all promised services were honoured. Reception and other staff friendly and welcoming. Location was in town and modern. I am a coeliac and had pre warned restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Seemed short staffed at peak times. Two coffee machines went down to one and caused issues. Breakfast had a choice of 4 gluten free cereals and various milks, which is the first time I have seen that. Gluten free sausages, beans, mushrooms, eggs supplied plus gluten free sliced toast. Second morning we had almost finished when the toast arrived though. Cereals, fruitx5, ham x2, cheeses, fancy bread, crumpets, bagels, yoghurt (good spread for most).Previous reviews mentioned gluten free muffin etc but I asked but was unavailable. Excellent fixed menu for dinner but some confusion as to what was gluten free. Official file info did not accommodate adjustments eg removing croutons. Information I was verbally told was not the same as the file. I think the file info was incorrect. About GF 3/4 choices for starter, GF 4 choices for main and GF 3 choices for dessert. They did label the food with a allergy stick. It would have been nice to have gf, gfa on the menu (but they did not have any of the symbols on there eg VG). For gluten free eating I have stayed at far worst hotels than this but also some better ones . Surprisingly good overall.

Our family had a very enjoyable, comfortable stay at the Mercure Hotel Bridgwater. Our rooms were tastefully decorated as was the bathroom. The bathroom radiator was on which made for a cosy experience. We loved the breakfast the following morning, great selection, attentive and friendly staff.

We had a lovely stay here. We had a dinner, breakfast deal and couldn't fault anything. From the time we arrived we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who booked us in. Our room was spacious and big and not noisy. Our meal that night was also very good and the breakfast in the morning was great. From the staff behind the bar to the restaurant staff were all polite and helpful. Would definitely head back here if ever in the area again - thanks for a lovely stay.

Given a disabled room on arrival. I am not disabled and 6ft 6ins. Not registered with card on arrival. Could not book evening meal to room. Room very clean but conditioner and body lotion container’s empty in bath room. Privilege room but no kettle in room as specified in room facilities. Excellent room service menu but no phone extension to order. Ridiculous price difference in wine prices. Just over £7 for 125m in room same wine in restaurant and same size over £11.00 in restaurant.

Stayed for two nights.Asked to have towels changed for second day when we checked in. Reception said this would happen.It did not and the towel rail only heated for a short term of time in the evening.This seemed to be arranged. Other than that staff ,good ,room and parking very good.

I stay at this hotel regularly as i have family living locally. I was at the Mercure before and after my wrist surgery September 24th. I paid £425 to stay Wednesday/Thursday/Friday night no breakfast included. I requested a quiet room on a high floor. When i arrived i had been allocated a first floor room in a noisy part of the hotel. The staff were obliging and found me an alternative room. But it wasn’t what i was expecting. I asked for my room to be cleaned every day and for the tea/coffee and waters to be replaced daily- this did not happen- even though i kept asking for this. My small room fridge wasn’t working and this wasn’t addressed during my stay so it was unusable. Finally, i was locked out of my room before 11.00 am on my departure day - even though check out wasn’t until 12.00. Very disappointed.

Many items on menu not available. When mains came out 45 minutes after our awful starters the hanger steak on all three plates were cold!!! One was blue and one was like leather and all cold!!! The desserts were awful my warm brownie was cold and the plate was dirty. So didn’t eat that either!! Bedroom 228 the sheets had black stains which looked like mascara and my mother in law doesn’t even wear make up and was on the sheets when she pulled the duvet back her duvet also smelled of unions!!
