We're close to the university and only a 10-minute drive into Swansea itself. If you're here for leisure, the stunning beaches of The Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula are only a short drive away. ibis Swansea is just off the A483 in Port Tennant, 10 minutes from Swansea centre. Buses regularly run into the city, including to Swansea Station, and access to the M4 takes 10 minutes. It's a 20-minute drive past Swansea Bay to The Mumbles coastal area.

It's a nice hotel with pleasant rooms and very helpful, amenable staff. The one problem is there's a lot of road noise if you're on the wrong side of the hotel. If you're a light sleeper like I am, that can be a problem. Having stayed on both side of the hotel, I found I could sleep perfectly well in a room located on the side of the hotel that faces the carpark, but if your room is facing the road, you will hear a lot of "boy racer" type noises in the early hours of the morning, which can be disruptive.
