We're close to the university and only a 10-minute drive into Swansea itself. If you're here for leisure, the stunning beaches of The Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula are only a short drive away. Awful

Only good thing is the staff the rest is awful. Room worse than basic. We had to stay here as decided last minute to extend our stay in Swansea so thought IBIS would be ok if basic and clean. Room bed base and mattress has no sheet on it so each guest touches/lies on that which is a pretty grim thought. The thin mattress topper has a sheet over it and obv pillows and duvet ok but grim exposed mattress and base. Bathroom metal sink and very run down not proper cleanable -just so run down. Hairdryer sticky and stained - grim. Could’t wait to leave and did not have food in hotel as standards of hotel so poor I was never going to risk eating there just had a starbucks coffee nearby. We paid £129 for that !!! shocking !!

Terrible for the priced I paid! Floor of the room was really dirty, so was the shower. Also, shower didn't work properly and only gave out luke warm water. Bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast in the morning was shocking... really hard bacon and sausages that have either been reheated or left for a long time even though I went down for breakfast at 7:30 and no butter for the toast. However, the most disturbing part was that there was people in a clapped out van sat in the parking lot with the engine running all night, clearly not staying at the hotel (sleeping in their van) but no one cared that they were there. As a woman staying on my own at the hotel it was off putting. Not great at all. I'll be staying at the Holiday inn again next time as I frequently travel to Swansea on business.
