We have stayed at the Swansea Ibis hotel on many occasions over the past few years and have never had any issues however our recent stay was not quite so good. One of the reasons we have always returned to the Ibis when we visit Swansea is because the staff there are always very friendly and helpful and yes they were again during this visit and we have nothing but praise for them. However our room (229) was not really up to the usual standard, there was no luggage rack ( apparently it was broken ), no hook on back of bathroom door, no nozzle on hairdryer and it all seemed a bit shabby . Ok, so these are just minor things and we were only staying 1 night so no it didn't really matter , however we are returning over Christmas for 3 nights and would prefer a nicer room then . The other issue we had was breakfast on Monday morning . We had opted for continental breakfast but the choices were really, really minimal, when I asked about this I was informed they had not received a delivery that morning.

Lovely customer care by Nicola at reception and Linda, I was looked after very well. Excellent customer service skills. There was a mix of hotel residents and temporary homeless people, who appeared to have difficulties.which sometimes didn’t mix well with bad language by them, which I felt was anti- social and I felt uncomfortable, however, I interacted politely but again I found it unsafe in an hotel environment, I think Ibiz hotels should review this policy.

Arrived early booked accessible room not ready which was understandable. Another room provided which we agreed to but it was rather small. Breakfast was passable although coffee was on the weak side. Overall acceptable
