The hotel is in a good location directly next to the train station. Check in was smooth and the room was clean and comfortable. We were charged incorrectly for our room and had to go back and ask for a partial refund, which they were happy to do, but I wonder why we were charged too much to begin with. There also was no soap in the shower dispenser which was unfortunate to find when I was already in the shower and couldn't call for more. Overall it was a good stay though and we would likely return.

Had a brilliant time and loads to do in the area only down side was parking. How ever we parked in sainsbury's about mile away for 12 pound for 3 days.

Once I managed to check in -- I arrived and was told that the booking I thought I had made had been immediately cancelled by the system, for reasons I do not know; rectified by staff on the door who honoured my original booking price -- the stay was more or less excellent. Despite being by the station, the room was quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Access was simple. Breakfasts were excellent -- the sausages in particular were a very nice surprise, and considerably better than the usual hotel fare.

I had hoped this hotel was going to be my regular base for monthly visits to Cambridge as the rooms are pleasant and it is convenient for the station. The last visit I slept very well, but this visit my sleep was disturbed every night by the sound of (guests I assume) doors banging closed that would keep going until midnight and start again at 6am or before. As a light sleeper I will probably not be back.

+ Great location and very friendly and warm staff. Comfy beds. - WhatsApp food ordering service didn’t work as no response to message. Cooked breakfast wasn’t hot. No soap in shower dispenser.

Good Stay Convenient Location Close to Station

They were able to check us into the hotel almost immediately. This was definitely a plus since we only had 1 day in Cambridge. There are many pluses to this hotel. Close to Cambridge Station, next door to a couple of bars, near Sainsbury, Cafe Nero, Sushi place. If you are a Silver member or above for All Accor, then you would be able to get a complimentary drink. We were also able to get 10% off on drinks and food because we stayed there. The only negative is that it is far from Cambridge City Centre. It would take approximately 20 minutes to get into city.

Very good value for money - clear and smart room and well thought out. Proper hangers you can take off the rail particularly appreciated. A hitch when I checked in: my key card read 578 but after three trips back to reception it emerged that it was room 573 with the 3 looking much more like an 8 than a 3.

Very nice hotel in a great location minutes from the train station with lots of decent restaurants & bars nearby. Only a 20 minute walk into town.

We really enjoyed our brief stay here. It is the best budget hotel that we have stayed at and I am happy to recommend it to others. Usually Ibis hotels are quite bland but this one was cosy and comfortable in the communal areas. Our room was functional, quiet and clean. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. It was great to have some good music in the bar during the evening.

Room was clean and nice. Was disappointed with the breakfast. We were told that breakfast was available until 11:00. We arrived at 10:20 and there was hardly any food available. When we asked if they were going to bring out any more bread / eggs we were told that diners that had been there earlier had eaten “a lot”. I thought that was disparaging to earlier diners but also was completely irrelevant, the hotel offers a breakfast buffet. It wasn’t particularly busy and there should have been food. The breakfast is not cheap. My other guest was gluten free. She was given frozen bread that she had to toast in a toaster that wheat bread was also being toasted in. It would probably be a good idea to have a separate toaster for gluten free bread. Also the staff at breakfast were indifferent and inattentive. I heard another staff member tell a couple who came down at 10:30 that breakfast was “nearly finished”. I’ve never experienced that kind of service at a breakfast in any hotel before. I would stay at the hotel again but would breakfast elsewhere. Everything seemed too much trouble.

All OK except the wc was broken and we had to use the main one in the public area so really nor ideal especially as sharing with a friend

A convenient location for the train station, though still about a 25 minute walk into central Cambridge. The reception/lobby area is done nicely with a trendy looking cafe that serves pizza and drinks that would be pleasant to visit even without being a hotel guest. We had a small pizza which was very tasty. The downstairs area overall feels quite modern and trendy and that was the highlight. The rooms were basic with the bathroom being a bit plasticy. The weird door and sink felt very budget where the rest of the room wasn’t as bad. There were some marks on the sink, one of the towels and some odd spillage marks on the carpet. If you don’t look too closely, the room is clean enough to be comfortable for a place to sleep if that’s all you need it for. I can’t help thinking it’s a bit of a shame the rooms were not as nice as the downstairs area.

I stayed in Ibis Cambridge in business trips prior to COVID lock-down, and recently returned once the office re-opened. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the staff are as friendly as ever. The service is always great and the COVID measures the hotel is taking make me feel completely safe. Many thanks to the management and to all the reception, bar, kitchen and cleaning teams of Ibis Cambridge!
