We’ve stayed quite often and I’m an Accor member. No welcome drink. Extractor fan in shower not working, bathroom door kept getting stuck, room way too warm.

I would not recommend staying at this Ibis and I certainly wouldn’t return. The location is inconvenient, as it’s not close to the main bus or train stations, which makes getting around unnecessarily difficult. The room itself was disappointing. The curtains were visibly dirty, which immediately gave the impression that cleanliness isn’t a priority. The “double bed” is actually just two single beds pushed together, and you can clearly feel the split in the middle when sleeping, which is uncomfortable. The bathroom is extremely small with a tiny sink that barely functions properly. There is also no fridge in the room, and when I asked whether staff could store some food in their fridge, they refused. The wardrobe is also strange—more like an awkward shelf than a proper wardrobe. The check-in experience felt rushed and impersonal, more like a box-ticking exercise than an attempt to make guests feel welcome. What stood out the most was how rigid the hotel was regarding late checkout. As an Accor member, I was told the latest checkout possible was 1pm. I understand it is subject to availability, but when I asked the following day if it could be extended to 2pm, they refused. I even asked for a small compromise of 1:30pm and that was also refused. The lack of flexibility was surprising and disappointing. Overall, the hotel feels basic, cramped, and lacking in both comfort and hospitality. I would strongly recommend keeping your money and choosing one of the many better options that actually value their guests. I wouldn’t return.

Dear Ms A., Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I sincerely apologise for the inconveniences you experienced, particularly concerning the cleanliness of your room. We take cleanliness very seriously and your comments will be reviewed with our housekeeping team to ensure that our standards are upheld. I regret that the bed configuration did not meet your expectations and that you found the bathroom facilities insufficient. Your insights regarding the wardrobe design will also be taken into account as we continuously evaluate our accommodations. I understand your disappointment regarding our late checkout policy. While we strive to accommodate our guests whenever possible, there are times when availability constrains our flexibility. I appreciate your feedback on the check-in experience, and we will review our approach to ensure our guests feel more welcomed. We value your perspective and thank you for your comments, which are crucial for our improvement. Best regards, Janice ibis Glasgow City Centre - Sauchiehall St.
