Booked this hotel last year due to going to Metallica concert on Thursday 25th June for myself and wife.. first impression on Arrival was it looks ok from outside . Got to the reception an i confirmed my booking .." That was a joke " the receptionist i believe her name was ( Mila) foreign...her reply was Do you have any ID !! I am like shocked ok hold on i showed her my bank card .. Then she asks my wife ...I am like to myself Why !!. My wife says no my name is Christine..The receptionist says that will do....I didn't understand why she needed that as it was booked in my name, so after she went through our booking she said i notice you have not booked breakfast " Which i was sure it was"if you want to add it on it will be £24 for both i said ok i will deal with that in the morning.Anyway we weren't planning to be in hotel it was just a place to put our heads down at night after concert.There was extreme hot weather that week so when got back to the hotel later that night i was like i will need to put the air- conditioning on...It didn't work just blowing out warm air..so turned off and was a restless night due to the Heat🥵.Next Morning we decided to go for breakfast and went down to the reception i explained to the receptionist ( different person) that i would need to pay for it..she gave me a receipt as proof to show to the person at the Restaurant....Well we walked in there was a sign to say please wait to be seated.. And this worker (foreign) came over i showed her my proof ..."Her reply was we finish at 10 so grab something quick".. At that point fellow customer who seen me coming in " Shouted over yoor not missing anything" Thats when i said to her stuff this place give me that recipe back and went back to reception explained what she said about the time.. Receptionist answer was i thought it was finished at 10.30...At that point i checked out and got breakfast in the city.. SO MY ADVICE IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AN ABSOLUTE JOKE DUE TO SOME OF THERE WORKERS. i have stayed at Ibis hotels before and if you ever go to Glasgow book in to Ibis at Waterloo Street just 10 min walk from central station far nicer hotel and staff..

The hotel was easy to locate, check in was smooth. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were polite and friendly. However the room was really hot due to the weather. The air conditioning unit did not work despite a number of attempts of trying. There was a fan provided however this just circulated hot air and didn’t provide any relief. I would stay again but would ensure there was functioning air conditioning.
