£90 for a couple of paper cups in my room, dirty carpet, and noise from a construction site across the street there was no mention of when booking. Barely slept. Bad experience, first time there and I won’t be returning.

The hotel and its staff were excellent, but some of the other guests impacted adversely on our stay.

We had visited for a friends wedding. Two of us arrived and checked in on Saturday 2nd October and two arrived and checked in on Sunday 3rd October. Upon departure for the wedding we were informed that we “had to return by 10pm,” we felt this was an undue curfew that the reception staff had no right to impose upon us. We returned to the hotel at 11:30pm to be told that we could not go to our rooms as we were not allowed to “bring anyone back.” When we informed the staff that we had all arrived and checked in together earlier the staff remained adamant that we could not go to our rooms as they thought we were bringing guests back. Overall, we felt like we were staying at a youth hostel with rules and regulations rather than valued paying guests. The room was basic but all we needed but our stay was tainted by negative encounters with the staff.

Great stay. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Hotel is in a good location about 10/15 mins walk from central station. Parking nearby and at low cost if you get hotel to stamp ticket. Rooms comfortable.
